Quest 170?

This is just a random idea I had, but seeing as Jagex has seemed to have started to follow the notion that certain quest numbers should have significance, its not entirely impossible. RuneScape has been in the year 169 for its entire existence, but so many important things have been happening, Jagex might just decide its time for the year 170. And what better quest number to release that with than the 170th quest?

 

 

 

Probably wrong, but I'm just sort of throwing this out there.

Although I find this idea very unlikely if something did happen I reckon it would be another god wars (cant remember who but in the questions answered a while back they implied there would be another god wars) and I guess they need to make up for 150 but 170 is a while off tbh.

If they change the year to 170, what would they do with the quests that happened in 169? Would you have to go back in time to do them? Or would people who have finished the 170th quest get to play in an alternate universe?

They mucked up there system when they starting adding event quests to the list.

 

 

 

If you exclude them then we're on 149 (minus 2 for event quests and 1 for the starting quest) so I'm hoping like mad the true 150 is going to be amazing.

I'd imagine it would be some sorta of 'metaquest' with quest requirement a la WGS, Legends etc, as quests like those have requirements that don't really have any reason their in there except to make it hard to achieve, like MEP2 being required for WGS.

The year won't ever change. This is a "frozen in time" game. A slice of life kind of thing. Leave it be. Don't poke the bear. :shame:

I'd imagine it would be some sorta of 'metaquest' with quest requirement a la WGS, Legends etc, as quests like those have requirements that don't really have any reason their in there except to make it hard to achieve, like MEP2 being required for WGS.

 

 

 

Well, that would be a lot of quests. Anyways, the year itself doesn't seem to influence too many quests, so it might not really interfere there.

Not really when you think about how quests are built off each other and the huge amount of history that revolves around almost everything you do in the game. I bet whatever you do in this game, except sitting around doing nothing, relates to the history of the game in at least one way.

Case in point: when Zanik comes back out of the portal, when she asks you how long she's been gone, it's sort of confusing that you have a choice in answers, and that technically they're all right depending on which player you ask.

 

 

 

If it ever gets to year 170 (well, it SHOULD be past that already. We've had several Christmases. don't tell me that it's not entirely messing with continuity there), I want to celebrate with more wacky time travelling adventures. Meeting History was the most fun I've had in a while on a quest.

But I think it would be interesting none-the less. (Im REALY hoping it has something to do with the "Mainlands" mentioned and the Kudos.)

He's what they should do:

 

 

 

Make the 200th quest now. Make it fricken huge! Store it in a lockbox. Use the one Al Gore never used. Hide it. When the time comes to release it, you have it ready to go and we never have to go through this crap again like with 150.
