Hi people, I am Marquis (atleast in-game) and this is my blog. Enjoy reading

My name is Mark, I am 20 at the moment and go to Edinburgh University, but I am actually from Estonia (sometimes called Atlantis). I guess that's it, if you want to ask me questions like "What music do you listen to?" or "What is the square root of 47?" then just post in this blog, or add me in game or something, I am generally a friendly guy.

Also, my account name at the moment is Dark Marquis, feel free to add me. I also frequent HYT chat and some people from there have a Skype group too, which I have joined.
My account was created about ten years ago, just after RS2 came out. Now you may ask, "0mg, narb Y U n0 max [bleep]?". Well, firstly, my account got hacked in 2007 or so. I got it back in 2009 and that was the first time I became members. Then 2010-2012 I was studying in a boarding school, which decided that money is best not spent on good internet. But now I am back.

 My Goals

So now what to do? Well I'll probably just get into bossing and whatnot, gaining money for random items that I want/need/like. Also planning on just whittling away at some of the trim requirements. We'll see

 

 Stuff

I would go with the general rule of +5 levels = +1 strength vs weakness, with the following tiers:
+0 = melee vs arrow weak (melee vs mage)
+1 = melee vs magic weak (melee vs melee)
+2 = slash vs crush weak (wrong melee vs range)
+3 = slash vs slash weak (right melee vs range)

So, when fighting a slash-weak ranger, weaknesses are ordered as follows:
Slash > stab/crush > ranged > magic.
Tier 70 slash = tier 75 stab/crush = tier 80 ranged = tier 85 magic.

However, I think the actual defence difference is equivalent to less than 5 levels worth of accuracy increase. Maybe it should be +3 or +4 only. There aren't any tiers at 73/76/79/82 though of course, that's why I picked 5.

This model is mostly to show the kind of reasoning that allows you to tell which weapon is better.

Ooo, nice. How are you planning to level up your Smithing? I highly recommend you to Superheat mithril bars. You get around 10gp loss for every bar you make, but it's good xp and you get a good chunck of Magic xp too.

Mhmm. Although you make 20gp loss now for every bar. I just checked. :| Nature runes are 222gp, mithril ores are 234gp, and 4 coal ores are 704gp. That's a total of 1160gp, while 1 mithril bar is 1140gp.

Oh, so tired of this yesterdays nolifing, but I'm continuing still :)

 

 

 

I got these levels so far:

 

Smithing: 61-65

 

Magic: 66-70 (w00t!)

 

 

 

Done with mith bars, now waiting to start smelting gold.

Update - 22.06

 

 

 

I took a couple of days to break until I was member again, yesterday I got it and so started the levels to come

 

First I did all the penguins that got me Herblore: 48-50

 

Then I did the Tears of Guthix which got me Summoning: 36-38 (only 71 tears)

 

After that I went to visit the circus, that resulted in: Ringmaster Legs

 

Then I did the new quest, which was quite fun The Tale of Muspah

 

And lastly I managed to smith 2k of gold bars which got me Smithing: 65-67

I keep forgetting to update my blog :(

 

Anyway, past 2 days I've been smelting and smelting and smelting, my forehead is draining from sweat (partly of the heat of the Furnace and partly of the tedious clicking :D).

 

I finished my ores to bars and started bars to amulets, now only 900 to go :D

Update - 30.04

 

 

 

Haven't dona an update in a while, again. Anyways, I managed to cook all the monkfish that I fished, also I spinned all the flax I had and tried training for the Seers' Diary summoning part xD, then I did ToG and Circus and Penguins. Also I did a quest.

 

All that resulted in:

 

Cooking: 67-69 (monkfish)

 

Farming: 50 (that was random farming)

 

Temple of Ikov, which got me

 

Ranged: 49

 

Summoning: 38-46 (from ToG, training and Penguins), which got me

 

Combat: 90

 

Crafting: 63 (random flax)

Hi again everyone lost in my blog :). I wanted to complete the Seers' Diary Medium, but ran out of Crimsons for a Pyrelord. So I went slaying for them, also got me a few levels.

Hitpoints: 68

 

Summoning: 47 (very random, I don't remember where I got it)

 

Now, I'm carried away by Slayer and currently trying to kill them damned Fever Spiders :D
