June 19, 200917 yr The EP's aren't linked. 100% ep is the max you can get, except some people had higher because Jagex didn't cap it until the update. please read my post on this page. what happened to my (and my friend's) ep occurred in the wee hours this morning. (around 3:30 am EST, date 6/19/09.) I read your post. EP's aren't linked! There is ftp ep and p2p ep. Also, any ep gained before the update, will remain(however I think that anything above 100% doesn't matter either way). So although some people may still have ep above 100%, after they use it(or try to add to it) it will go back down and never go above again. Go to f2p, look at your ep. Then go back to p2p and look at your ep, and then, just for your sake, go back to f2p and look at it again.
June 19, 200917 yr the numbers are different. that is true. i jumped from 43% on p2p to 309% on f2p. now here are the reasons i think they are not calculated independently. 1. before last night i had NEVER been on a f2p pvp world. never. not even once for fun. if the ep is totally separate, i should have had 0% ep when i switched to f2p. 2. when the clock ticked 30 minutes and i would have gained more ep, my percentage dropped from 309% to 100% on the f2p world. i did not kill anyone. either it's a glitch, or they decided not to allow players to have over 100%, even if it's carried over. 3. when i logged back into p2p my ep was down to 14%. it seems an unlikely coincidence that my ep dropped 2/3rds on f2p and also dropped 2/3rds on p2p. again, i did not kill anyone on p2p either.
June 19, 200917 yr Compensation EP does not show on the percentage, instead it just does its job at 0%. Compensation is basically when you die for something you get a little potential for it, and note that this is not an effective way of making cash. Started free trade with 1.5m cash. 2 weeks later, have hit max cash 2x. PvP drops: 359 Brawling Gloves, 11 Vesta's Longswords, 41+ Zaros/Ancient Statues9 Dragon Full Helms, 3 Dragonfire Shields on the old PvP loot system Brawler guide is being finished!
June 23, 200917 yr So me and Deviledegg24 went on a major tricking and EP farming spree the first day of Pvp and we'd do tests and try to figure out the whole EP system. Sadly we couldn't find out why our ep would sometimes go up 25% or 10% after we tricked. Then he had a vacation to go to which left me alone to test it. Finally after 5 days I have figured it out. This may be a bit tough to understand so bear with me. When you reach the max EP(100%) the game acts like always and starts a new timer until the next EP update, but the game won't register your EP as going up but the system timer will still count down. I spent 28 minutes in a hotzone after 100% EP to see if I could spring right up to 25% after I tricked. But when the system hit the 30 minute update period I went up 3%. This has happened various times to me with different rises in EP which correspond which the time I spent in the hotzone afetr 100% and the time I spent after I tricked and was at 0%. So basically.....spending time in a hotzone after 100% is a waste of your time and you should either trick at 75% or trick right after 100% because you won't be rewarded for the time you spend in a hotzone after 100%. I'm sure Deviledegg will be happy I figured it out we at first though it was an issue with negative EP :-# EDIT: No offence but I think the first post should be reworked some information is off and wrong. I'll try to rework it for you and send you it and see how you like it. June 23, 200917 yr Im pretty sure EP in f2p and p2p transfer over, but that 100% F2p Ep=25% Members EP. Because when I got 100% F2p EP I jumped to a members server and had 26% EP. I think I had 1% EP left over. So its either 26% Ep for every 100% in f2p or 25%.
