JoeDaStudd
did you get the DFH as a drop? I'm guessing by the PM he sent he did. I never used to use BH or PvP worlds, but EP % seems like a good enough reason for me to start. w0odspriteV2
edit2: It seems that my ep isnt rising eventho I'm risking more than 75k and standing in a hotspot btw I killed my target who was lv92 (I'm lv90) and my ep only dropped 1% Got 90k loot. samcowcow
what do you guys do to get EP% ? I personally sit in wildy or edge with some people. Must be careful of those pkers. Any suggestions on what to do when getting ep% ?

Any suggestions on what to do when getting ep% ? Well if I have brawlers, I find a way to use those(ussually 4 iteming with Warrior Ring to gain EP). Otherwise, you could do anything. I'd reccomend not just sitting there, because there are better ways to gain money(unless you're f2p)
Esper_Jones
It really is a odd system i did 100 spiritual mages kills and got 30% ep from 10% to 40% than it got stuck and than i killed 50 more and it was still stuck so i went to thieve in a hotzone and got 21% ep from thieving for 30 mins afterwards i had 61% ep now i went back to slayer and finish the task in an hour and got 0% ep and is still stuck at 61%. 40 is the maximum unless you're in a hotspot. Jack of all trades, master of thieving. 259th to 99 thieving. All stats 75+

No...I got 42% in non-hotzone. When I first logged in pvp world, my EP% was 40% (i didn't earn it, it was from before the update) I spend 1 hour at mutated bloodvelds, got 2% EP, so 42% for me staying in that area. I found it too slow, so i left. However, I just satyed in dark beast for 50 minutes before I made this post. I used a stop watch. Starting from 0% EP. It became 13%EP at 0 hour 22 minutes. It became 23%EP at 0 hour 53 minutes. I paused the stop watch, logged off and will try to stay for another 30~40 minutes tomolo (need to go to bed now) to see if I can get more EP%. Warcraft53
Me again with results. Levels: Me: 111 with pouch I may try without next time Friend 99+9 No pouch 1: 100 > 63 again 2: 63 > 27 again 3: 27 > 8 again 4: 8 > 2 again Drops seem pretty random though... First 2 kills I made a total of like 200k combine... But the this kill yielded this wonder. No what is odd about the kill to me I have never seen 2 decent items in the same drop Whip + Ring Friend only had 26k in invo only.... Click Me!!!!! samcowcow
Warcraft53: that's some nice drop!!! grats! and yes I think the loot depends on luck, not always the EP% you have... which is a good thing I guess? knitewulf: thanks for the info  could you include more information like where did you do it (wildy...edge...or fally....etc), your combat level, and the EP% you lose each time..
Soma2035
I'd like to confirm a few things: A) What Jagex said regarding risk seems to be true. What you or your opponent risk does not matter as long as your opponent loses at least 25,000 worth, and you lose 75,000 worth. Items work, which is convenient, as many drops are ammunition with weapon poison p++. Since these are tied to weapon poison p++ value, they're junk, which essentially means each bolt, arrow, knife, or dart is worth over 1,000. In other words, after killing a friend a few times, you can let them kill you while holding these otherwise horribly overvalued and impossible to sell bits of ammo. Likewise, it matters not what you risk when you kill someone: someone with a full bandos, godsword, firecape, and top notch pking gear will not notice a significant drop improvement in comparison to someone with only a weapon and 75,003 coins. B) As long as you have any drop potential left, great drops are still possible. For example, I'm level 137, and killing my friend (level 133) yields the following changes: 100% -> 78% -> 57% -> 35% -> 14% -> 3% -> 0%. This yields six kills before reaching 0%. However, good drops can appear any time during these six kills. The chance of getting a great drop is lower for the last two, but it is still there. C) Dying seems to have little to no effect. It has no visible effect on EP whatsoever, even if your loss is fairly high. However, I tried throwing away a few items to simulate an expensive death, and there was little disparity in the drops I received after. Want to learn to Nex? The Nex Hunters are recruiting! totalpwnage
You have no more chance at a dfh at 100% ep than you do at like 50%, each item uses up a piece of that EP. Basically, each piece gives you something from high potential table or something that they had. (btw, those 5 swordfish or w/e that you get, thats 1 piece) I've pretty much figured this whole system out before though, tbh. It's not very different from what I thought. Started free trade with 1.5m cash. 2 weeks later, have hit max cash 2x. PvP drops: 359 Brawling Gloves, 11 Vesta's Longswords, 41+ Zaros/Ancient Statues9 Dragon Full Helms, 3 Dragonfire Shields on the old PvP loot system Brawler guide is being finished! Sorry, could you explain a bit more about this? Are you saying that "if he got a DFH at 100%EP, his chance of getting another good item with the rest of his EP%, is 0 " ? or am I getting it wrong
britonlongbow
I believe he means that a dfh only need 50% ep to be dropped, so weather you have 50,75, or 100% ep your chance of getting a dfh will be the same.
Aslan
This is a test that I did a few days ago so don't mind the time references: Today I decided to get 100% potential in pvp worlds.I got 2% when I logged into the pvp world.Woodcutted some teaks for 30 minutes and got 10% more.So I stayed there for 30 more minutes. After that I remember that I had a pair of brawlers(mining) so I used most of them in the wild. This got me to about 43%.Went back to woodcutting for a while then just ran across the wild. I got 92%.Because of the time here (midnight) I decided that I won't stay for much longer to get the 8% remaining, so I asked Pitac to trick with me.Well, here are the results: [hide=1][/hide] [hide=2][/hide] [hide=3][/hide] [hide=4][/hide] [hide=5][/hide] The potential dropped in this order. 92->66 66->41 41->13 13->4 (just for the hell of it, I did a 5th kill) 4->1. What I risked: [hide=][/hide]
