Lastest Twitter hint?

God, sailing jokes are really starting to get old now and extremely unfunny.

ANyway, it's probably dwarf as most people have said. Conveyances? Definetely dwarf.

Memes are old and unfunny. Never forget.

By the way, wdf is twitter :)

Is it worth checking out?

Yes, even if your just going to check up on Jagex as they release hints about future updates (like this recent hint) that are not shown on the main site/forums.

Twitter is awesome. :)

Most likely mentioned before, but I'm going to have to vote for Mobilizing Armies.

A bunch of monsters = all the legions

A bunch of gravestones = all the soon-to-be dead legions

Teleport = Leaked teleport to MA

Some person on the RSOF translated the German version and it turned out to be:

'Threatened monsters find a new home, gravestones are already emerging everywhere. Luckily, you're mobile.'

Thus they thought Mobile referred to Mobilising Armies. Along with that new low level spell in the standard spellbook I think it is a very good chance that MA is going to be the update.

Either that or it will be Kudos island.

Both would be great updates to have in the game. Next week should be awesome.

How is there a German version of Jagex's twitter? Isn't that a English to German translation?

Rag and Bone Man = Reincarnation of Zaros

:o

Didn't some cat (pretty sure it was bob, the jagex cat) say he was the incarnation to zaros (or said a hint that he is) in some quest, quite a while ago? It may be a joke, but I don't know.

Anyways, for the people who think it's a new dungeon/bosses and think it's related to gwd - it might be a feature to unlock the mystery god door (probably guthix door, imo) and open a boss for the guthix godsword or some weird stuff. Just my opinion, probably won't happen (even though jagex made it seem like that for the dragon platebody to ever come out ;) ). By the way, sorry the all the parentheses.

This feels exceptional on my under-carriage.

A lot of stuff can be traced back to Mobilising Armies.

However, my thoughts lead to some undead pets that were hinted during one of the Postbags (forgot which). Only time will tell. -.-

The game is named "Wettrüsten" in german. Thats absolutely no reverance to "mobil" as it's written on the german Twitter. Don't rely on hints based on words when you translated them before.

When I read the german Twitter I think of monsters getting a new living space and many gravestones appearing there (cause players will fight them). But I have no clue what the last sentence could mean.

The French one is pretty similar to the English, as far as I can see:

Tous ces monstres abandonnés ont enfin trouvé où aller et voilà que des tombes fleurissent partout...

I'm pretty sure it translates to something like "all these abandoned monsters have finally found where to go and the next thing you know graves are appearing everywhere..."

Trying to gleam more via translation is never good because language isn't meant to be translated.

Anything you translate from one language to another loses meaning in the translation unless you have some who is fluent in both languages so instead of a direct translation can swap words out for more appropriate words in their counterpart language

It's not a perfect translation but it provides a base for further speculation; words can easily be changed to fit.

¬¬ You COMPLETELY missed my point.

The English, French and German ones say EXACTLY the same thing. Translating them to find out one has "mobile" instead of "conveyances" doesn't achieve anything because direct translations lose meaning. Different languages use words in different ways.

Try wording them a little better before flipping?

I'm pretty sure that they're not direct translations; as far as I recall, the French and German were completely different to the English and to each other prior to the Dungeon Maps update a few weeks ago. Just because they happen to be similar now doesn't mean they always have been or always will be.

Again you miss my point.

Different languages uses different words to mean the same things.

Therefore in a TRUE translation such as Jagex uses words get swapped out for words that have the right meaning in the other language.

When we then directly translate this back we come up with a different word to what was used in english.

Reading meaning into this is WRONG because the various phrase all mean exactly the same thing, the words are just different because in different language different words have different meanings and therefore to truely translate the meaning words are changed.

The whole point is here:

Jagex DO NOT use direct translations so that in all languages the MEANING remains the same

When we read the other language hints, we DIRECTLY translate them back to english. The directly translated form has a different meaning to its untranslated counterpart due to the difference of how words are used in other languages.

What Jagex wrote in english, french and german ALL have the exact same meaning in their respective languages. So reading into word difference found by direct translation DOES NOT produce further hints, it just sends us down the wrong path.

I agree with ElvargII to be honest. The three twitter hints are all written to hint towards the same update, but as some sentences work better in some languages it can happen that they don't all contain exactly the same information. Or it can happen that the wording used in one hint can clarify the wording used in another.

Stay cool

Due to my epic stats, I have now started WGS (but I still hate spoilers).

My logic exactly; if they all hint towards the same update the worst case scenario is that the information gets duplicated.

You still seem to miss my point.

They all hint towards the same update and they all give the same information.

Difference in the exact words is just a by product of translating meaning rather than words.

For example: If german says mobiles instead of conveyances when directly swapped back to english it means sod all other than the German word for mobiles means what conveyances does in english.

All the information is jsut duplicated, the difference of words don't add any clarity to anything as in these respectively languages they share the exact same common meaning.

Whatever; the change in words could help someone see the information differently and at the worst the information is repeated. It's nothing to get so wound up over.

I think this twitter is actually made up of 3 different concepts and not all tied together. As the previous penguin twitter told us a few weeks back, they don't always twitter about next weeks content, but about other things such as meetings and concepts far down the road. This is what I assume each section to mean:

We finally find a home for those abandoned monsters

A bunch of monsters in development had no real place in the game, just were concept monsters. Now they have found an idea to put them into the game. This could be something that is in development far down the road.

& a load of gravestones turn up everywhere!

Easily the new gravestone update. Not much more to guess on this.

Still the new conveyances should help...

Some sort of new transportation. By guess of the text, its not a teleport, but maybe something like gnome gliders or spirit trees. Possibly quest related.
