Once your at 200M is that it?

Featured Replies

What I mean is that for example Eve420 is #1 with 200M cooking xp. Is there any way someone can be #1 if they get 200M xp as well? Would you have to keep cooking, it just wouldn't show your experience after. Kinda hard to put it in words, but is there anyway possible to beat him as #1 cooker. You couldnt continue to keep cooking sharks and your "invisible" xp would go up past 200M. Because say he's at 209M cook xp but they dont count the 9M extra XP, is it possible to beat him as #1.

I dont think so, I think the point is, after you have reached over 10X the ammount of xp it takes to get to lvl 99, there is really no point in keeping track anymore, so the first person to 200m xp will just stay number 1 forever, and anyone else getting 200m xp will just be number 2 and then 3 ect.

i think the same as goro, otherwise ppl would go insane on 1 stat and their would be people with maybe even 1 billion xp in cooking for example.

200M is max in hiscore as far as I know.. :(

Is there there a Java-related reason as to why the cap is 200M? Perhaps it's just because 200M seems like a good number to stop at.

Sorry to stray from the topic but I'm amused how the OP put it. 200m xp "is that it?" If you want to get 200m experience in a skill I think you deserve a break outside, maybe tan your pasty skin a bit from sitting at the computer for so long :) That's quite a hefty xp amount, I'd never say "is that it" about it :) Anyway. Yes, I believe the 200m xp'ers are just in the order they gained it in.

Yeah, 200M is 15.435 times the xp for 99. So 15 times over, at least. =D>

There is a limit for numbers in java thats at some awkward 2xxM so jagex just cut it off at 200M

Orthodoxy is unconciousness

the only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.

To answer the java related question, no there is no reason. to explain (if your curious) jagex probably uses a "int" to hold xp values, which is about 4bytes long, and can contain numbers from about -2billion to +2billion, so 200mill is nothing compared to what you can stuff into an int. But would any majority of people want to get over 2 billion xp in a skill?

You can have tenths of an experience point, for example stringing a ball of wool gives 2.5 exp. mmmcannibalism has it right. They could have made 214748364.7 exp the max amount like 2147483647 is the max amount of gp, but they cut it off at 200M.

[Matt258] - Currently the experience cap is 200m experience, a cap which many players have reached in various skills. That being said, have you considered changing the cap to a higher number?

[ Mod Mark]Yes we do think about these sorts of updates, 200m was just a number we picked. It could easily have been a different number. We do always consider those players at number 1 who reached 200m first, and would have to carefully consider all options before doing something like that. We dont want to remove the achievements made by people to get there first.

Those who are number one at the 200m mark shall remain so.

This is just Jagex way of saying, "Okay, now it's time to get a life."

Yet I don't recall a player ever achieving 200m xp in every skill.
