How Often Do You Restart?

The only time I intentionally restart my computer is to switch from Mac to Windows (using Bootcamp, which requires you to restart to switch between the two). Otherwise, it's always on (or "sleeping"). I always have like 50 documents open, some of which are just open for my reference but I don't want/need to save them, so restarting my computer is always a pain. I'd have to go through every document I have open and decide if I want to save it or not.. and I know it sounds stupid, but it's just annoying. Or sometimes I'll have PhotoShop sketches open and I don't want to save it, but I want to keep the sketch for a while to tempt me into finishing it.. I don't know.

What's wrong with saving docs? It's not like they take up any space..

Your a [bleep] moron.

What....?

I'm just lazy is all :P Honestly I have no rational explanation.. it's either you get why you I don't like it, because you act similarly yourself.. or you won't understand it, because I can't explain it :XD: But it's not that I'm worried about taking up space.. I just can't explain it.

And be nice sloter. That was uncalled for.

I shut down my computer every night before I go to bed and then start it up again in the morning. The only exceptions are if I'm downloading something really.

Not too often, I can usually work around having to restart for programs and such (except things in MS Update).

If you kill the explorer process in task manager, then restart it manually, it's basically like restarting your computer. Well, not really, but your computer thinks it's been restarted. :D

Usually every couple of weeks (on Windows).

I actually do what tripsis does quite a lot as well, I have notepad documents open with stuff in that I don't want to save but I might need or want to use later, but not enough to save them. :P As she said it's difficult to explain but it's just something I do.

let's see...i shut it off every night, turn it on when i wake up and leave it on for the day. So it's on for about 16-17 hours a day, and around 7-8 hours off.

and my laptop, um...it's almost always in stand by, flip the cover when i use it, close when i'm not, and at night i put it in hibernate(Since i have to turn off my UPS, or the light on it will kill me). My laptop did not shut down or reboot for a long time now...

Quit runescape on Jan 6th of 2008, at level of 115 with around 150M worth of item in bank...however stats still remains
