Sam
Here's another crazy venture by Sam :P I'm looking to purchase some over-ear headphones. I have a budget of around £45 and if you could, find headphones with: Good bass, treble etc Long-ish wire Durability (so no skullcandies :P ) No headsets, please Since I'm in the UK, it'd be preferable if you could recommend headphones from Amazon UK, though you can post them from other UK vendors if you can find them (not eBay, though). 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
Jard_Y_Dooku
I bought these the other day... they are excellent. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Clear- ... 760&sr=8-1 Also, Logitech products are of very high quality in my experience, quite durable. I've had a pair of their older, less expensive version for around 2 years, dropped it many times, more than once having the earpiece come right off - popped it back in with no problem. These new ones sound great, and have 3 different modes for gaming, music (the general setting) and voice chat. The volume controls are on the right earphone allowing you easy access, which is much better than an inline control that you'll tend to hit all the time. Also, pressing on the right earphone mutes the microphone, which also makes the microphone (on the left side) light up red, so if you mute the microphone you'll clearly see that it's muted out of the corner of your eye. The headphones sound very good (laser tuned audio drivers), and the microphone works very well, very clear and no background noise. Here's a short clip I recorded using Audacity so you can get an idea of how well the microphone works: http://www.zshare.net/audio/62538771bb9fe2b4/ Hope this helps you in your shopping. :) Never trust anyone. I doubt they have good bass.

Hawks
I have some $12 (apparently £13 on Amazon) 2XL 'Groove' headphones I got from Best Buy, they work decently (I'd say they're more than worth the $12) and have okayish bass. (the thing normally I use them with, a Sansa Clip mp3 player doesn't have amazing bass to begin with, but they work great with my 11 year old CD player with the TruBass or whatever it is) They come in about five different colors (I have the all black ones: http://www.amazon.co.uk/2XL-SnakeEyes-X ... 92&sr=1-43 ) The only problem I have is that one of the silicon covers came off and got a slight tear, but I fixed it with a bit of sticky tack (don't ask). I prefer the silicon ones, but you could replace them with the foam ones if you wanted (because I can't find any silicon replacement ones anywhere!) These are the only sort of headphones that'll stay on/in my ears besides the over-the-head ones. Edit: They come in 7 color combos. sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
Jernlov
Philips make pretty good low-end headphones for the price. I have a pair of SHP2500 Philips headphones that I bought to replace my Sennheiser HD205 set, and I can fully say that they're one hell of a lot better than the Sennheisers. Some people reckon they sound tinny, but I found the other set I had to be tinnier after trying my current ones. They're a little quiet and are generally more suited to TV/video use than music, but yeah. Good all-rounders for the price. [edit] What you must remember with headphones is, like everything else, more often than not you're paying for the brand. I would recommend going to HMV or wherever and trying a couple of pairs out. AndyPandy
I have a pair of Creative HS450. They have awesome bass, when I first put them on I was blown away. They're very comfy, and I reccommend them whole heartedly. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Labs-5 ... B0013V1G12 So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. Brad25891
Those look like [cabbage] to be honest with you. I doubt they have good bass. They are a lot better than they look, going from crappy Technika headset from tesco to this was unbeleivably immense. They are awesome value for how much they cost, and the bass is actually pretty amazing. The awp on CS:S was the first example of bass I heard and damn it was a change to the headset I was using. All I can say is great value for money, pretty sturdy. Almost no background noise (My brother is playing call of duty on my television about 2 feet away from me and whilst I'm talking you can't even hear the noise from the TV.) EDIT: Just realised these are the clear chats. I'm currently using clear comfort whist is a lot cheaper. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-981-00 ... 151&sr=1-2 Either way, if your budget is a firm £45 I'm sure you can find a much better headset than the logitech clear comfort/chat, Deviant Art Account2 Signatures | 6 Photographs | 1 Other

Furah
they work great with my 11 year old CD player with the TruBass or whatever it is) C...D...Player...?Yes, I know what they are I have a nice set of Sony MDR-XD100 headphones. They don't have a mic but seeing as you didn't mention them as a requirement I will assume that it doesn't matter. The have really nice Bass, a rather lengthy cable, excellent sound and I sometimes forget I am wearing them. Remember to read people's review on the headphones, they'll give you a broad range of views on the headsets. If the site doesn't have reviews then look elsewhere for them.
