InfamousDuck Posted July 19, 2009 Share Posted July 19, 2009 The Tip.it Clan Chat Channels (Un-official) My aim is to create a system of clan chat channels set up for tip.it members and anyone wanting to use it. It would consist of clan chats set up for things such as a help desk or a chat for people looking for partners for KBD. I will attempt to recruit people who will let their clan chat be used, if this system is successful I will look to recruit moderators to moderate all chats and hopefully in the long run to get this an official topic. [hide=Propsoals]I only have a few proposals at the minute for chats, I want for to hear from you for other suggestions. My current proposals- >Help Desk - A chat for runescapers in need. The owner of chat as well as other recruits would have to be very experienced in game and preferably have high levels. >Minigame Chat This would be for people looking for partners or people to duel with for minigames. If the system works in the future this could span out into separate chats for each minigame. This desk could also be a help desk for minigames. >Monster Hunting- This would act like the minigame chat so people would come here looking for partners, it could also span out into individual monsters and could be a mini help desk.[/hide] As for now I just want to hear peoples opinions about the idea. Actually, it's legal issues - that's why Jagex asked tip to shut down the first cc, tipit_chat or something. It was then Lightning's cc and I think jagex asked for that to be made unofficial or shut down. Can't really remember dedicate your idle computer power to a scientific project. Krazi Posted July 19, 2009 Share Posted July 19, 2009 Sounds like a good idea if we could get it up and rolling, though it may be tough to draw people away from Forsakenmage's chat. As stated before, there are usually enough people in there to answer any questions you may have. As for finding teams for kbd and other boss monsters, I don't think that the chat would have enough activity to be successful. The minigame channel interests me, it could be useful for whether you're just looking for somebody to join you, or want somebody to help you out with one. Perhaps start with the help channel, because that will probably be the most popular (people love to give advice). You should probably start a thread here and advertise ingame too, to get it going. If the help channel is a sucess, then you can build the other channels and they will piggy-back off the sucess of the help channel. I'd be willing to donate my chat for your project. I have a simple non-numbers username anyway. By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. I'd rather just use one populated chat, and ask whatever I need in there.
