Has germany been taken yet? I'd like to play, i didn't quite understand what was going on when the thread was first made. What do i have to do to start?

 

 

 

Well reading back a few pages, it looks like OlJoe gave up leading Germany, time for a new leader to arise. Using this 1 day=1year game wise, time to explain the rise to power

 

 

 

Through 2 months of uniting the reminents of the old country, i've established a powerbase in the new united German Confederation. But the country is lacking population. (using real-time population) The 82m people in germany went into anarchy following the collapse of the previous leadership, and over a third of the population has either starved or died of illnesses/natural causes. So i will be governing a remaining population of 52million. For the rest of today's turn, i will be spreading propaganda to the people to have every female give birth at least one time, which should increase my population by around 10m, taking into consideration deaths during birth etc. I will also be setting up the basic welfare and public services to get the country back into a normal state for tomorrow(as if this hadn't happened, so the country is like the RL country now, but with no military and lower population).

Just go with the flow basically. Japan will give you some lovely super plants which will help your agricultural industry quite a bit - they're quite widespread in the world and called Verde Soylante.

Well hopefully no one has claimed south korea yet as i am now making a claim to it. My plan for south korea follows~

 

1. Begin a raising of population and a clean up of government corruption.

 

2. Vastly raise the funding for education and defense.

 

3. Pay for the increased funding by taxing Foreign industries at roughly a 40% mark

 

4. Begin research of on both hydroponics and creating small nuclear reactors...

 

5. Encourage the growth of population by creating tax incentives for larger families.

 

6. House the new population by creating floating near shore cities

 

7. Encourage key industries and green technology research

 

8. Start the creation of infrastructure for electro magnetic flight.

 

9. Create an elite special forces regiment as well as a strong naval fleet to protect the floating cities.

 

10. Heavily tax gambling alcohol and tobacco as well as legalizing drugs then heavily taxing them to...

I wasn't aware that Verde Soylante had become commercially available all over the world! I thought it was exclusive to allies of Japan. MAD would like to buy a couple thousand seeds to start up a program for citizens to grow it in their own homes to lessen the demand for food.

Venezuela can also supply Verde Soylante. We also have scientists working on variations for different climates and purposes if you need a specialized strain.

A strain that is resistant to extremely hot and humid climates would be preferred, if that is possible. I doubt that should be a problem though.

well if south koreas not taken i will use it albeit with just economic growth in the next year or so and possibly with lower taxes ;)

I'm also spending another 3 months on setting up a good welfare, social and public service system up in the country, so that i have a reasonable medical and education sysem, as well as police and fire coverage. (a basic country)

 

 

 

I'm aiming to invest as much money as possible into renewable energy systems, as i plan on making the most of my money in exporting energy. My current thoguhts are solar power, but i have access to the north sea, so some off-shore windfarms and tidal energy could easily be used aswell.

 

 

 

I'm also opening the floor for an other European countries to form a European Alliance, with the aim of a great security union in the area, and joining forces in technology research.Maybe if we can get enough money together, we can buy Switzerland and use it as a testing lab.

There is an alliance already, the EC. You could join it probably.

Furthermore, Japan has been investing heavily in a form of floating cities. Haven't been reading what your ally is up too? Or were you too busy getting new ones?

 

 

 

EDIT: Also yeah, about Verde Soylante, I said two years ago that in one years time I'd release it to my allies, and in in another years time I'd release it commercially in the world.
