I've decided that for Germany to be successful, we need a calander sysem that works for us.

Starting at the year 37, as all before that was chaos, Aligned to GMT.(anybody is welcome to use it)

The date is currently around Febuary 7th, year 37.

As said before, i'm Aiming to boost the population by 10m by the year 38. I'm also spending another 3 months on setting up a good welfare, social and public service system up in the country, so that i have a reasonable medical and education sysem, as well as police and fire coverage. (a basic country)

I'm aiming to invest as much money as possible into renewable energy systems, as i plan on making the most of my money in exporting energy. My current thoguhts are solar power, but i have access to the north sea, so some off-shore windfarms and tidal energy could easily be used aswell.

I'm also opening the floor for an other European countries to form a European Alliance, with the aim of a great security union in the area, and joining forces in technology research.Maybe if we can get enough money together, we can buy Switzerland and use it as a testing lab.

10m people in 1 year? That seems like a lot. And if you were to create a European alliance, it would openly challenge the EC, possibly starting a war.

Not much from Findenland, besides that we have already seized northern Lithuania, a surrender is expected by the new year.

Exobreaker suits have arrived in Venezuela and been distributed to local law enforcement.

What is the next project for Venezuelan scientists? Only time will tell.

South korea is open. North Korea is not. Feel free to take south korea.

The remainder of brazil's operations this year will probably be classified.

Da_Latios claimed SK for his use as well.

Furthermore, Japan has been investing heavily in a form of floating cities. Haven't been reading what your ally is up too? Or were you too busy getting new ones?

EDIT: Also yeah, about Verde Soylante, I said two years ago that in one years time I'd release it to my allies, and in in another years time I'd release it commercially in the world.

The genetic code that is, not the seeds.

I feel that you're over reacting about the alliances.

Japan is still Irans closest ally, and shall remain so for the forseeable future.

No. SK has already been claimed mate, sorry.

Yes, I agree, I've over reacted about the alliances but I'm tired and nervous about how the world is shaping out. Need to write up an update on Japan's movements asap.

Okay, no problem, its good to be nervous sometimes.

Then again, thats why we have our top scientists at Faroe making the already keen edge of our military all the sharper.

If anybody were to declare war on us, our retaliation will be swift and brutal.

Argentine forces captured Brazzaville, capital of Congo, and secured 75% of the country, the rest of the land is thick rainforest mostly unhabitable. The offical government has officially surrendered and gave over the country. But some loyalist fighters, corrupt officials, and crimelords are hiding in the forest. 10,000 Argentine troops are going to be left behind specifically to guard the country from the rebels and criminals. Argentine logging companies are starting up large-scale operations in the edge of the rainforest under the protection of the Forest Guards.

Another twenty new TA64 tanks have been produced and another 7 submarines have been repaired and created. The

Verde Soylante seed has been correctly engineered and mass produced thanks to piecing together the information gathered from Lent's old laboratories. Another 10 IR64 Pampas Airfigters have been created and 10,000 new recruits have joined our military: 1000 to the airforce, 2200 to the navy, and the rest in the army. The whole country is preparing to go into a massive military build up. Unemployment is at an all time low, 5.97%! Tanks, aircraft, and guns are being created at a very, very fast rate. The Verde Soylante seed will support the increased military personnel in Argentina and abroad.

Mostly just curiosity. Are you people really just sitting behind a computer, making up meaningless stuff while keeping up to date on fifty pages of other peoples' meaningless stuff? I get other threads, in that they have a topic of interest to discuss such as a new scientific discovery of a piece of news, or even just simply a general topic of discussion (such as the Weightlifting thread), but this? Don't you guys have a soccer ball to kick around or some friends to text?

Well, its nice to have some light stuff in the OT that involve creativity.

I mean, why else would this thread be one of the fastest growing threads I have ever seen? People seem to enjoy making up this "meaningless stuff", and interacting with everyone elses meanignless stuff.

Once again, its just a bit of fun.

And as for the question of doing other things, the hell I am going outside or calling friends at this time

Japan's 8 month update.

MILITARY PERSONNEL/EQUIPMENT: The Nuclear submarines codenamed "Pooh, Piglet, Kanga and Roo" have all been launched and are currently hiding in classified locations. The aircraft carrier Tigger has proven to be a huge assistance in Japanese naval campaigns so far, and has completed it's first tour of duty in Papua New Guinea. It's next destination is again classified.

With high pay opportunities as well as a government encouraged cut down on the timber industry, around 100,000 strong Japanese young men have joined the army since the start of the year - as well as another 100,000 troops completing their training. This brings Japanese military numbers to 675,000. Of these, 500,000 are fully trained. 80,000 more troops are being transported to Kenya in a final sweep of the country.

MILITARY/DIPLOMATIC CAMPAIGNS: With currently two 100 strong squadrons equipped with A-3 exo suits, Japanese troops are storming through the Kenyan countryside with almost no resistance, while the bulk of our forces (Japanese/Iranian light infantry) head towards Nairobi.

The 80,000 reserve troops are set to arrive a few months into the new year, just after we have completely subjugated Kenya. Upon arrival, the plan is to sweep straight into Uganda and assault the capital, taking the country without too much warfare - Uganda is much smaller than Kenya. We expect to have Uganda under control by July of next year.

INFRASTRUCTURE: Further widespread use of the anti pollution Verde Soylante (henceforth known as Vante Soyd) has dropped pollution across Japan by 1.7%, and in Tokyo by 4%.

CC15 (the city upon the water) is bustling, with almost 100,000 inhabitants. The sea-wall has proved effective, and so far there have been no casualties within the city.

The population has increased again, but only 600,000 children were born this year.

Papua New Guinea is seeing the benefits of Verde Soylante, the small population of 6.3 million rising to 6.5. There are also plans to connect up the various obscure towns around the city, hopefully increasing the GDP from $13 billion to around 14.

A similar plan is in place for Kenya (or at least, the parts under Japanese/Iranian control as of this post), Verde Soylante should be able to swell population numbers from 38 million to 39 within two years.

Furthermore, the AIDS/Malaria vaccines are being distibuted to these two countries. It's costing a lot, especially in Kenya, but it's putting the population more at ease with Japanese ruling.

Who has control over the country of South Africa? I want passage into those two little independant countries inside of it at a later date.

By now Mozambique, is completely under Luxembourg control.

With the fall of Germany, the EC seems to have taken a heavy blow. I propose that the countries remaining in the EC (meol, riku, and I think a few others) explore the rest of Europe and soak it up before someone else takes it. We could use the resources. I'll take responsibility for Belgium, and possibly another country east of Germany later. I can't invest too much into it at the moment.

The Argentinian troops are begining to miss home, and have been sent in the direction of what was formally the Congo. They will perform a pincer technique when the meet up with Argentinian forces that are currently moving through the region. Hopefully taking this iniative will aid the Argentinian/Luxembourg relations enough to have co-owned mining settlements. All for the good of Catholisism!

Luxembourg's bursting population has begun approaching the Belgium border, and avoiding the German border due to their messy revolution. As long as Germany is living in year 37 anyway...

Other than that, I invite it back into the EC, as it is a free trade, alliance with military backup.

I'll also be looking for a new power source soon for an upcoming project. Uranium looks promising. I'll also need a weapons contractor. Hopefully Isreal won't be too busy, as Luxembourg was impressed with their weapons as of current.

I also could have sworn that North Korea spilled into South Korea. Oh well.

Some of that may sound a bit of date, as I wrote it whiole reading the last 9 pages. My apologies if some things have already been clarified.

Luxembourg's education system now specifically focusses on engineering, math, and science.

Luxembourg troops are spread over the Zambian border.

My explorers have found a significant amount of unclaimed European land. Now if only I had someone to co-run them with...

I agree, almost everything in this game is unrealistic. I don't really care. Also, in "playing" this, I've learned a lot more about Brazil, and various other countries, so I guess it's kind of educational. I've been meaning to learn about brazil too, since I'm part brazilian.

Ok, game-wise, most of our navy has been moved in the past few months to surround South Africa, as much as possible with our numbers. We are landing ground troops on the southern side, and marching them in from the north as well. If the south african government does not respond within a day we will being taking more drastic measures for control

EDIT: also, to the map-maker, Brazil kept the three northeastern most countries of sa (The ones east of venezuela) when the SAR broke up. They are shown as unclaimed on the map, so that could be fixed next map version.

EDIT2: After talking about NK/SK, I looked up antimatter. It costs more than the entire gdp of the world (or close to it) to produce a gram of antimatter. I don't think we're gonna be getting much of that. Buuut if we can manage to produce a small amount, the space project would be much more successful, as anti-matter rockets would be faster than our currently planned propulsion system.

Italy news

----------------------

Solar powered planes were the main scietific research for this year and we've come a long way. We've gotten to the point were commercial airlines can fly from Rome to Moscow on a full battery and plan to be overseas by the end of next year.

And to mix it up a little bit... EARTHQUAKE! An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 hit in Southern Italy. Casualties are low but many buildings and roadways are ruined. We are currently rebuilding homes, businesses, and roadways and we will be 100% in 2 years. The time can be lowered if another country sends help.

I have to say I agree with this. Before playing, I knew next to nothing about Japan, now I know an awful lot more. I've also learnt about heavy water, tritium, and the like.
