Woah Dusty, calm the [bleep] down.

30+ ships (each with a carrying capacity in the 10s of thousands) going to and from Midgard over the course of 20 years does not equal less than 1m people

I was talking about your 600m population boom in 3 years. I did make an error though, it only takes 2.6 days rather than 3.6

No, I don't have 599m caregiver robots, please do not pull numbers out of your [wagon]. It doesn't take 20 robots to take care of a baby for a little while while the parents go to work.

Was a typo, I meant to say 20 toddlers per robot. The rest of the info in my post is correct.

And no, babies aren't breastfed by robots, please stop making [cabbage] up.

I was making a light hearted joke.

Idk why you're even still on this thread, since you don't actually have any land. You're just Sere's [bleep] tbh.

Yes, ofc.

for a little while while the parents go to work.

So when the parents get home, they can take care of 12 toddlers? Yeah, right. (!)

Pretty much.

And it's been around 10 years or so since the fertility accelerant came out, and around 20 since the drug that increase probability of twins/triplets/quintuplets. So, this population boom has been going on for 20 years. I don't think 20 year olds need to be taken care of by their parents. (!)

You posted, 3 days ago, that your population was 240m, iirc.

Now, it's 870m.

3 days != 20 years you claimed.

Meh. Then Midgard is supporting 600m babies. It makes no real difference, as that's what the population is.

Killerwatt, can you choose one of the systems that isn't inhabited yet?

The bottom four are reserved for new players anyway.

Doom hasn't updated the inhabited system list, so I wasn't sure if it was; is Unoph taken?

Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.

Nope, since I moved my colonists off there. Free for the taking.

The first birth rate enhancing drugs have been completed. Population of Britanniae now 50m.

The nuking of Britanniae is complete, the planet is lifeless.

Ok everybody, the Expanding balls work like this.

they are small super compressed balls with a small piece of hardening gel inside. when it impacts something it grows bigger and the acid makes it about as hard as bread. It either makes the missile explode (further away from wherever it is). it always knocks the missile back but it can also encase the entire missile with the ball greatly lowering the impact of the missile.

[hide]selfdefenceweapons.png[/hide]

they cost 10k each to produce and are extremly quick to produce.

and I also fund 50 billion into them to make them even more likely to knock missiles back and lower the impact.

meatlover.png

I said it was about as hard as bread but its not very easy to rip and is more like a very dense gel.

A bit like you then? :P nah just kidding. What's up with the killing of non-mather empires?

...Killerwatt, Dusty decided to declare war out of boredom I think.

Dusty, I hope you are joking about attacking britanniae, and I assume you are, since you were one of the players I thought least likely to ignore the war mechanics.

Also, my robots don't have any religion.

Hex, I've already told you. This chemical reaction would take far too long, and considering it must be rather light (95% gas to be able to expand that much?), they wouldn't do much at all to stop missiles really.

Back to the drawing board.

Anyways, I'm going to build another 2 space stations in Sega-Res, and 2 in Sinabo.

I'm still producing Helios orbs, hoping to have 3000 of them by the time Cataclysm V, VI, VII and VIII are complete.

Ah yes, Hyperion is 1/11

What about unsing a knit tungsten net and a metal encasing to compress balistic gell, when the ball is fired the casing opens and the balistic gell expands, pulling the tungsten threads with it, and when the missile hits it will get stuck in the gell but the tungsten threads will keep it from going through, add an electric pulse activated upon hit and that would detonate the missile in mid air without needing any sofisticated weapons sytem to fire(though it would need a pretty advanced computer to do the aiming).

No ross, seriously there is solidified liquids in which turns into a gel on impact.

its all gel and the actual outside is a really thick foam so it would totally own missiles.

and themather, Your always get some really come up with some clever things and I support mathers claim of what it does.

Well, if Dungeonal wants to produce one of my techs that was pretty much the amalgamation of 60 years of genetics research and then say he insta has it, then I can insta destroy planets as well

To expand something to that size, you would need to be producing a gas/foam. And foam comes from gas+liquid.

Your expendoballs would do almost nothing to stop missiles.

Mathers idea is better, but it would make them a lot more expensive and if somebody seiged you, it would run out quickly.

While conceding this is the internet, you're not very good at deducing when people are joking.

Damn it Dusty, I wanted to base my stuff off the Space Marines! (both Starship trooper and Games Workshop)

Oh, well. I'll stick to star wars then.

Anyway, major updates today include:

Major dig out project making an underground civilization underneath Zimbabwe, and Congo. With Britain's permission, I'd like to connect the two undergound (trust me, Sere it benefits you too). cloning structures are being set up at an incredible rate throughout Africa, and again with Sere's permission maybe some in British territory.

LHC particles have succeeded in proving our method of travel correct. (we now can legit say we're going 50x speed of light). Research/observation ocntinues on the subject.

The battle ship in creation (2/7) will be equipped with both weaponized ion cannons and colonizational ones, more on that later. This ship is to be called "Heathen".

Diggers landing on Zhoreuc continue to mine all sorts of goodies. LAARTs are running cylces to take the payload into their respective carrier ships.

Ascent is finished, loaded with Diggers, and is being sent to Zhoreuc.

Anyone want to sell me their Mars land?
