VEGHATERMEATLOVER
I'm on the bus and I read half of the things to hear there's widespread chaos in the system. That certianly woke me up a bit.And the metal Mather is talking about (radioactive) is real, I'm sure I've heard about it somewhere. Oh yeh and I'm typing on my phone because I have no computers near (lol) 5/40 Ai5/15 nanotech when I get nanotech I won't be making nanobots I'll research them later in the game. My race = humans hedgehog if your starting again you've lost all your tech.
The_Mather1
My scientists have now developed spherical and half spherical plasma windows, I place one gigantic around my city and one around Atlantis.I connect the one around the city to all power sources including the newly built fusion nuclear power stations, thus giving some petawatts of power at all times, making it into a fully functional force shield. The plasma used in the shield is plasmic ozon or O3 giving the city protection from both radiation and lasers, at the cost of almost all produced electricity. The ZPM's however are not used due to their current ineficiancy and will thus be used to power their own research. BTW: Fellow dictators, please remember to consider what you will be looked upon as when we are the history of the future, teaming all vs 1 going all in when the one has only used force once in an attempt to protect himself and that has a smaller army than most of you is not going to make you look like the good-guys when you are in the history books, this is even the kind of thing that causes whole nations to stand up to their leader. Which would you rather be comperable to, Hitler, Stalin or Harry S. Strutman? Twitter: @TheMather1

Seraphi
Wow, so I guess the warfare system went to hell. Grim: "GRIM SMASH. GRIM NO DO TACTICS. GRIM STRROOOOONNNGGG"Mather: "[Arguing about nuclear fusion/fission and when it was started for two pages], I SECRETLY REVEAL 2000 SHIPS IN YOUR SYSTEM!"Dusty: "I'll protect Mather because I'm bored. Lol." Honest to god Grim, you need to learn some tactical thinking. I placed warships outside his system and began to negotiate peace, then you jump in and try to kill everything without even considering the reprecussions. You also used no tactical pattern/planning whatsoever. Alrighty. Mather, dropping moleculare activity to zero results in absolute zero temperatures which would almost surely kill anything on board and take a [bleep]ton of power to use. My other space station is now finished. Elysium has finished its reconstruction in Sega-Res, and my shipyard parts have been reassembled as well.I think I now have 5 shipyards and Elysium. 3 of those shipyards will be producing a Cataclysm ship every 4 years, 2 shipyards will be building harvesters. Elysium will be building my flagship, The Hyperion. Nero
Dusty: "I'll protect Mather because I'm bored. Lol."Pretty much. My marines are itching for some killin'. Anyways, starting research on a new small troop transport ship that could be used for ship boarding. Reinforced hulls, giant metal tip for ramming (like a quinquereme). It'll ram into an enemy ship, punch a hole, and then the doors will open and the marines will storm in. Weee. Exosuit IV, Strength IV, and Farm Spray II coming along nicely (this is just to keep remining myself I have these going on really). Anyways, a transmission was received from the Guard units dispatched to Vanaheim....encountered life form...small...bullets don't seem to do much to them...we have to use explosives. *transmission stops* they seem to have some sort of basic intelligence...recommend we sent a diplo team maybe? I don't know. *transmission cuts* [bleep], these things are fast little buggers, we're running out of grenades. A unit of Federation Marines has been dispatched, along with a diplo team to the planet. Aeon_
So while you lot have been raging about who's going to kick Mather to the center of the universe, I realised I'd forgottten to state where I changed system after ownership was claimed. So I am moving to Nost Hu. Plantery defence Rail cannons have been researched are now in production. Each takes 3 years to make and 3 are produced. 25 mechs have been made. Cruisers are being made to prepare to explore and discover new races. The next tech being researched is improved FTL drives for quicker trips. This will cost 50b a year. Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.-Random Youtuber
Seraphi
[hide=Hyperion class ships][/hide] The armour will be made of tungsten-titanium, there will be a coating of plutonium on the inside of the ship, severely limiting the amount of time biological life is able to stay aboard. They will take 11 years each to build Killerwatt, can you choose one of the systems that isn't inhabited yet? The bottom four are reserved for new players anyway.
Nero
[hide=Terran Federation Military Structure]The Terran Federation's military is split into two sections, army and navy. Navy encompasses both land-based naval and air forces, as well as battleships and craft designed for space travel.TFed has a heavily infantry based military, and excels in defense. The land army is split into 4 main groups, as well as 3 special groups (Praetorians & Federation Militia, Infiltrators): 1. Praetorian Guard. This small group of soldiers are hand-picked at birth for their genetic traits, and trained mercilessly throughout their life in the arts of war. They are one of the most deadly forces in the entire universe, and are tasked with guarding the top levels of the Federation's political and military structure. They are rarely used in battle, due to their small numbers, but when they are they can easily turn the tide.[sort of like Spartans from the Halo series][hide=Praetorian Guard][/hide] 2. Top tier troops (aka special forces), these are the Federation Marines - the best of the best, if you will. They are the hammer to the Guard's anvil.[AKA Space Marines from Warhammer 40K][hide=Federation Marines][/hide]"A Federation marine holding a hill is a man even the Gods themselves cannot kill." 3. Federation Guard. These are the heavy infantry troops, supported by Scorpion artillery-tanks and MAASs (Mobile Anti-Air Systems). They are the anvil of TFed's land military. Equipped with numerous bio-enhancements and middle level infantry armour (they aren't tanks like the Federation Marines), they can take a fair amount of punishment, as well as dishing it out. [AKA Imperial Guard from Warhammer 40K][hide=Federation Guard][/hide] 4. Federation Light Infantry. These are highly mobile, lightly equipped troops that wear integrated-nanosuit bodyarmour, in addition to having jetpacks. They are one of the most fast attacking and mobile infantry units in history, though their training regimine means that their numbers are quite few.[AKA Mobile Infantry from Starship Troopers][hide=Federation Light Infantry][/hide] 5. Federation Militia. All able bodied members of the Federation are required to do a mandatory 8 month military training program, and can be called upon the defend their homeland in the event of an attack. These troops are essentially civilian militia troops, so they are poorly equipped and don't have access to the same quality equipment that the career military troops do, but they will fight with complete devotion and suicidal bravery, as they are fighting for their homes and communities.[Equivalent equipment to today's modern forces (which in-game is around 50 years old)][hide=Federation Militia][/hide] 6. Steel Legion. The Steel Legion is made up of convicted criminals from all across Federation land. Men and women who were set to be executed for crimes, but took the offer of 10 years service in the Steel Legion in exchange for their freedom. The Steel Legion is special in that, if a unit within it retreats from battle without being ordered to do so, every member of that unit automatically has another 10 years service tacked onto their term. The Steel Legion is used in the most dangerous battles and missions, meaning that their casaulties are extremely high; so it's actually less dangerous for the unit to stay and fight whatever the odds, rather then retreat.[hide=Steel Legion][/hide] 7. Infiltrators. These are hand picked for their stealth and expertise. They're used to disrupt supply lines and communications of enemy armies, as well as perform assassination and subterfuge missions.[hide=Infiltrators][/hide] Terran Federation NavyThe Navy is mostly for space defense and shuttling troops. Currently these are the types of ships being used:[hide=Capital Ships, AKA Battlestars, sort of the Jack of All trades ships][/hide][hide=Carrier Ships for rapid deployment of fighter planes][/hide][hide=Troop Carriers][/hide][hide=Space Fighters][/hide][hide=Troop Dropships][/hide][/hide] Vienna Raszyn Warsaw Klushino

The_Mather1
The Federation's Alpha Fleet has moved into Mather's system to aid in the defense. Shoot at my ships and you're dead. Thanks a lot, I will do my best to repay you later. Alrighty. Mather, dropping moleculare activity to zero results in absolute zero temperatures which would almost surely kill anything on board and take a [bleep]ton of power to use.In 2008, physicist Michio Kaku predicted that a viable invisibility shield like the ones in Star Trek could emerge from laboratories in a few decades. David Smith of Duke University used a metamaterial to bend light around an object. Active camouflage (or adaptive camouflage) is a group of camouflage technologies which would allow an object (usually military in nature) to blend into its surroundings by use of panels or coatings capable of changing color or luminosity. Active camouflage can be seen as having the potential to become the perfection of the art of camouflaging things from visual detection. Optical camouflage is a kind of active camouflage in which one wears a fabric which has an image of the scene directly behind the wearer projected onto it, so that the wearer appears invisible. The concept exists for now only in theory and in proof-of-concept prototypes, although many experts consider it technically feasible. It is an example of active camouflage (or adaptive camouflage). Recently it has been reported that the British Army has tested an invisible tank. Plasma cloaking has been researched by Harvard physicist Robert J Vidmar. In his research of Plasma physics, it was noticed that plasma at certain density range would absorb certain bandwidths of broadband waves. However, generating plasma in air is too expensive and a feasible alternative is generating plasma between thin membranes instead.[3]And the Defense Technical Information Center is also following up research on plasma reducing RCS technologies.[4] IEEE had also looked into the possibility of this device.[5] The plasma cloaking device currently has a US patent license number 4989006.[6]A few examples of existing and being developed cloaking techs. To avoid any more discussion on this topic let's just say everyone has access to it for without developing or paying but no weapons(bombs, missiles(including drones), railgun, energy, energy projectile, laser, maser, phaser, etc.) or FTL travel is possible while coaked. a_bert
Midgard's system is 15 LY away, right? So it takes 3.6 rl days to get there. Ergo, you've had at most one trip, with presumably at most 200k civilians dropped off. Even with multiple fleets, I wouldn't expect to see more than 1m being transported. You have 599m caregiver robots, then? Or whatever ratio you want to say. At 20 robots per toddler, we're still talking 30 million robots. And Gisele has built them all in the 25 years you've been there? Maybe. Those toddlers will be scarred for life after breastfeeding from a robot, though. 'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!
