I'll buy the air conversion tech for 4bil as well then. No big deal.

Rocco, your ships have already been released, and most of them are lightyears away. How do you plan on equipping them?

Also I think it was Rocco, but I'm shutting down your telekinesis BS that you posted yesterday, if you didn't get a chance to read the post. Like I said, gravity guns are fine, but Telekinesis is just God-modding.

Oh, and I also had single person space craft research going on. I almost forgot about that.

Okay, sold to you as well.

Edit: Since I recently acquired a sum of money equal to greater than twice my GDP, I'm going to finish off my expansion project as well as my solar project. Paying off these two projects, since they were so near to completion, costs $150 million. (Yes, I did the math.)

I now have semi-advanced-level solar panels, along with another 3,000 sq. mi. of land. This increase of land increases tourism and immigration once again, raising the growth rate to 0.1%/yr and the GDP per citizen to $65,000.

I am also starting a secret project known to the public only as "TONSIL." This project will drain $300 million per year, and will take 10 years at this rate.

Telekinesis is my thing. Ross will explain it.

Ross, for what happened yesterday. I didn't mean ferrofluids I meant Perfluorocarbons. They are liquids which contain tons and tons of air allowing you to breathe liquid.

Sorry, Hex, but if you tried to breathe liquid air you'd freeze to death.

I wouldn't be breathing air I'd be breathing perfluorocarbons. The rainbowmancers strong insides would allow it.

Perfluorocarbons are actually legit. The only problem with them is the fact that the PFCs are twice as dense as water and can cause problems with gas exchange.

Tim to get my cyberkinetic limbs :twss:

Colonisation effots are going well with the 3 planets. Orbital defense platform is almost complete, give about another year. Mk3 medgel is now being researched, along with some improvements to my nanotech. Also, is the dyson sphere a universial technology?

The sour dough of the epitmous pie hungers for another's sweet lips to be dulled into a state of most irreverant humbleness

Meh- no likey the new boards. ive got a [cabbage] - load of things on this week,so this will be one of my last posts in this thread.

a few questions about the new thread. since i wont be able to colonize a planet for a week or so, and new players already get a ship, so can we say my race and ship are done when we start the new thread?

@RPG i picked up my clones, and left you a million dollars (should be enough for 100)

It was Dungeon, but I was discussing the idea.

Tell me, I'm a machine race. I require no life support or oxygen, can survive extreme environments, don't age, and a mechos body is much more durable than a human body.

Have I really godmodded? I don't think so.

Rocco changed his people into reptiles with a crystal. That was fine.

Australia turned into aliens due to a meteor/ship. That was fine too.

I've discussed balancing issues a lot with Dungeon, and I will note some of the key points.

- Civilians will only have access to very weak telekinetics, such as lifting a cushion, or hitting a switch.

- There will be no "I lift your tanks 50 feet into the air and then drop them", more along the lines of "I move some of that rubble to provide tactical support".

- They can't just stop a bullet with their mind (Elite ones could, but there would only be like 10 of those, and its just one bullet) since it takes a lot of concentration to use.

- It tires people out quickly.

Happy?

There is no way anyone could block a bullet with their mind. Reason: a bullet travels at over a thousand fps, usually, if not more. From 20 feet away, from a Desert Eagle, you'd have approximately 0.0125 seconds before you died. In other words, about a tenth-1/40th of a blink. The reptiles guys all have pros and cons, and they're a whole new race. You can't just say, oh, I want to be able to expend a ridiculous amount of energy with my mind which would cause my brain to shut down due to the amount of energy needed, in a way with no explanation on how I do it.

@ Mather, magnetics yes, but gravity no. A gravity gun uses gravity, not magnetics.

Well, Ross was only making an example that the soldiers could block a single bullet, at most. That doesn't necessarily mean that Dungeonal wants to do that.

Anyway, from a standpoint that the other races that people created (although I think Ross' race makes more sense) were rather illogical, why not allow him to have a race of humans that have special abilities? Granted, the telekinesis wouldn't serve much use at all, but I do not see how it is anymore illogical than an alien ship hurtling out of the sky and not causing more damage than it did (and people being turned into insectoid aliens after they came in contact with the ship). It is not anymore illogical than one's race magically becoming lizard people, either.

I agree that the abilities should be balanced, but I do not agree that it is anymore illogical than rainbowmancers, reptilians, insectoids, and mermaids.

I do believe that he said that it was chemically-induced. You would have to consult Dungeonal on that, though. He made a post before the old forums were deleted about it.

Rainbowmancers evolved.

If these powers are used once in warfare before everyones got a decent military I"m going to get angry!

An unstable gene is humans which allows telekensis... That's impossible.

Okay, my previous post mentioned TONSIL. However, since I can't send a proof of what this project would do to anybody, I'm just going to make it public.

TONSIL is a project to modify the dioxide exchangers so that the leftover "waste" is chemically bonded into food. Now, this wouldn't exactly be gourmet food, but it would still be able to prolong the spaceship's journey even further.

Rainbowmancers evolved.

What the hell kind of ecosystem did they evolve in to end up looking like that?

Maybe they evolved without gravity then came to the planet.

My races are the most logical, ask and I can give you their entire, biological history.

I was most opposed to it because it was chemically induced. Telekinesis doesn't make sense in itself, but to be chemically induced? That's jsut absurd. You can't create imaginary forces with chemicals. We'd have to evolve a few million years along with every other organsism to develope "the force" to get anywhere near what telekinesis is. I was okay with gravity guns because, yes they're illogical, but they make more sense than telekinesis. Plus it would be badass as hell to shoot a tank a few hundred feet i nteh air with a REALLY big one. Humans have strengths and weaknesses like any other race. If you don't like it - change races. Humans should remain as human as possible though.

I think we shouldn't have anymore random changing races for humans. Trol is fine, since it's not too impossible, and he's actually researching it. But no more roccos, or mage man random changes. If you want to start with a whole new race on the next thread, you start over.

How long do you think it would take to go from Earth to Mars usuing the latest (in game) engine tech? I forgot because we're fast as anything, but I'm pretty sure it still took a while.

If Errant Venture has indeed had enough time, it has dropped it's beacon off on Mars and loaded up on LAARTs. It will return to Earth in the same time it took to get there, I assume.

I'll start over but with the metall as that is indiginous to my homworld and a key to all Goa'uld technology(as well as being a part of their blood) and rings as they use that a lot.
