Nero
considering some of the superpowers treat the game like an arms race. *ahem* Anyway, I'll begin construction on our first nukes in years sometime in the future. The knowledge is already here, so it should be as simple as building them after getting the materials. I would prefer to have Pax Britannica built before building the nuclear weapons (fusion). Lol. a_bert
Japan's progress is going well, I am anticipating some sort of rage when I announce the completion of my stuff so I'll push it back a year or two - but I did announce it all 3 years ago and nobody complained then. We're going to restart production on our floating-on-water-cities which we developed 40 years ago, our designs have come quite further since then. The first one should be suitable for human living in 4 years. 'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!
Ouchy
Sorry men, been busy with sport and school and that. NZ: Slowing down the production, as we feel we have enough supplies etc, to run and defend ourselves. And we don't want to spend all our money. We plan to launch our first satellite in one years time. Will be un-manned, but we just want to join the space race. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
The_Mather1
The scientists left working on my wormhole device , has ran into a bit of trouble with the wires too easiley overheating and have to use silver instead of copper wires. [hide=If you think stargates seem too illogical]The gates first use weak lasers to ionize the air inside it then feeds electrones(electricity) into the ionized air creating a "solid" wall of electrons, theese will be accelerated up to the speed of light by increasing the current and they will then form a wormhole to another gate chosen by activating simoultaniously through wireless contact between them, this wormhole wil then be held open by a ring of the earlier mentioned exotic matter at each end.[/hide] Twitter: @TheMather1

Wait for it, I'm going to make something capable of fast interstallar radio contact, like subspace. Until then I'l just use it betwen Earth and Mars(when I get a colony there). Wisp
You have a budget of 5 billion a year for research, give or take. Just putting that out there. Hegemony-Spain

I'm not making anything big yet so it is enough, a stargate is only a ring enlarged to be 6m diameter in shape. Twitter: @TheMather1
Wisp
A worm hole would take as much or more engine as a warp drive. How do you plan on powering it? I know you did calculations, but what exactly are those based on? Hegemony-Spain
The_Mather1
They are based on how many electrons moving the speed of light would take to keep a solid wall inside the gate as long as it is active. Twitter: @TheMather1

Seraphi
Look, we can see that you really like Stargate, but Warp Drives are just simpler to use. Also, I think it would be cool if we merge our posts from like page 50 onwards into a new interstellar thread, where somebody who is active can control the first post and edit the map. I say page 50 because that is when most of the non-dedicated players had already quit. Obviously the new thread wont be made until we discover interstellar and start getting decently far into it. My Erebus drone is on prototyping. We have a set of arms hooked up to a giant machine, but no body designs yet.
The_Mather1
Electrons can't move at the speed of light. They can... The blue light is caused by electrons moving over the speed of light. Twitter: @TheMather1
Wisp
Electrons can't move at the speed of light. They can... The blue light is caused by electrons moving over the speed of light. No, It's not. It's moving over the speed of light in a vacuum, the speed of light in a vacuum is a constant, though in some cases, such as nuclear reactions, that speed is higher. In water, that speed is lower, for example. It's probably traveling at about .999998 times the speed of light in that environment. Seraphi
Does it even matter? Why can't we just use a bloody warp drive and be done with it? Gates require you to fly to the destination in the first place, which basically kills the point. It also kills any ability for tactical warfare, since you still need to fly to the opponents planet (Or you could warp your entire army in through their gate, screwing the game up even more) Can we just agree on using a warp drive. (Also: New avatar : )
The_Mather1
I'm not suggesting this instead of warp drives, I am making this so that all travell to friendly planets goes faster and is independant of available ships, at least for the members of NWO. Seraphi
Travel should be dependant on available ships though. I mean, you could always borrow your allies ships.

The_Mather1
Ok. Then I use the resources I used on the stargate to start developing a Hyperdrive(It is not exactly the same as a Warp engine, the Hyperdrive uses hyperspace(a smaller alternate dimension) to travell a shorter distance while it counts like more in our own dimension.). My ASSLOAD(Accurate, Specialized, Semi-Large Object Atomic Documenter) is coming along just fine, the sensors are now able to rekognize most atoms but not yet how many neutrons they contain. Nero
WE ARE USING WARP DRIVES Not hyperdrives, wormhole, star gates, black holes, teleportation, slipspace, negative gravity travel, etc. Warp drives. Vienna Raszyn Warsaw Klushino
The_Mather1
I have made Rings( SAC and ASSLOAD combined), X?(new metall with energy boosting abilities), south pole base(leftmost white area), mobile city foundation with central tower and magnetic-field-shield generators(in antarctica). I set my construction-workers to make several skyskrapers on the "city" and scientists to make magnetic-field space-"engines".I set myself and my clones to work with X? due to its interesting properties. In space I'll have three races that live together in somewhat harmony and peace:[hide=Goa'uld]Goa'ulds are parasitic creatures that require a stable temperature and a feint electrical curency to survive, they are capable of taking over humans as hosts although they will not be able to take full control until they are mature. They give their hosts(or Jaffa) a stronger imune-system and a lifespan that could last over a thousand years. They are few in numbers and like to pose as gods to gain folowers and a life in luxury, they are really selfish and will not do anything that does not gain them anything.[/hide][hide=Jaffa] Pic shows Bra'tac and Rya'c. Jaffa are mostly human although they require infant Goa'uld symbiotes in their "wombs"(symbiote puch accessed through X shaped opening in their stomache)or tretonin to survive. This works as a strong imune-system and makes them stronger than humans although they will quickly die from simple diseases without it. To show which Goa'uld they originally folowed they bear a black tatoo(wariors), silver mark(high ranked) or gold mark(first prime), the to later are made by cuting out the correct shape from the skin and pour in molten silver/gold, the mark varies from Goa'uld to Goa'uld.[/hide] And normal humans. The homeworld shall be named Dakara. Twitter: @TheMather1
