When FTL is finished, I'll give it freely to everyone. If Ross or Doom have a problem with that, well...war? Hm. Thanks. :thumbup: FTL is basically finished, but we're just waiting for Doom to iron out the thread and post it during a time of decreased traffic (I believe sometime tomorrow.). Doom, can you PM me the time when you're going to do the new thread? It'd be awesome if everyone had a post on the 1st page, to give a brief overview of their empire, race, tech, etc. I agree. Perhaps we could provide an interesting backstory to go along with our stats about our empires? Seraphi Posted October 10, 2009 Share Posted October 10, 2009 Okay, since FTL travel is basically finished and we're just waiting for Doom to come online, I'm going to use this time to dispatch Cataclysm I & II, Rhadamanthus V & VI, and my 12 Exeos ships to Sega-Res. They're basically going to be ferrying my population to Sega-Res over the next 50 years or so. I'm going to keep building Exeos ships until I have like 60, because otherwise it'll take 118 days to get my entire population to Sega-Res.They can always be scrapped and turned into something else later. The powerful magnetic field now instead pulls any and all metal toward it. (Some poor scientist was wearing metal-rimmed glasses....) So now they're working on THAT. The 15 billion is being put into a dozen ships (I nickname them "Mini Hopes"), approx. 1/10 the size of New Hope. By the time they're done, (which will be about 5 years) 12 billion of that will be used up. The other 3 billion will be used for research on how to defend said ships. The fellows who were experimenting with plasma rifles accidentally stumbled upon something interesting - ion rifles. Sadly, the ion rifle killed them because it went out of control. Iceland is now copying the makeup of this ion rifle, and is going to find a way to make it controllable and more powerful, and possibly make an ion cannon. This will be used as defenses for the ships along with possible future development with the electric shield, and will use up the other $3 billion given to me.
