Well I'm determined to make Japan totally uninhabitable for humans, except for the underground bunkers where my brainwashed humans live. Then NWO will have no benefit for taking Japan, as it would probaly have a NEGATIVE modifier for defence. :)

I suppose so, but I just want an awesome island outpost. All the food I need is kelp, and if necessary, rice is wet enough that it goes down the throat easy enough.

 

 

 

In other news, in tunnel installations, tanning booths have been installed to supply the captive humans with Vitamin D and that nice tan everyone wants. Of course, incidence of skin cancer has shot through the roof, but the humans are going to die in battle anyways.

 

Lichtes troops cannot use the tanning booths, as they would just get sunburn. Also, the average weight for a Lichten is equal to that of the average American, though a Lichten is far bigger. The reason is not that Lichten people exercise more necessary, but the fact is if a Lichten becomes overweight, the fat constricts their gills and suffocates them. It's the second leading cause of death, aside from war.

Sadly enough, they probaly are. However, enough species of kelp have been transported to the home planet so that biodiversity can be increased. Scientists are experimenting with sunlamps to grow rice, and mushrooms.

Qyella's growth is to be treated as the early days of the Zhoreuc expansion. TerrAvenger will now hover in between these two planets, to act as a bridge. There will be no sterilization on Qyella for now, however extra stress is placed on conditioning.

 

All ships have returned to Mars. Some bearing the mytical Zhorean plant for testing (it seems the previous sample was lost during Brazil's invasion).

3 new destroyers and 2 more cruisers have been made. My budget is 165b currently. Population is around 24m and troop size is being increased to 4m.

 

Neural implants are finished, and will be implanted over the course of the year. If I do send some troops, then it will be towards the end of the year. Just so you know, all troops are equipped with exosuits, which can increase the strength of the wearer so they can easily lift 250kg and are pretty strong against bullets. High calibre (40.-50.) can take them down though.

 

Forgotten about the colonies from like 17 years ago. :unsure:

 

Well, they've increased by about 318,750. 100,000 are being drafted from there to the home planet. They will receive the implants etc. in two years time.

 

And they'd add, 2b each, say? That would take my budget to 170b. I will not research, I will build 5 more shipyards for 34b each.

Being kicked out of my country because of an alien race spawning 30 million troops on Earth in a few days, and being able to obliterate a DEFENDING force of 20 million, who have the advantage of knowing the terrain, being on a surface they are used to, heavily trained, being able to use fortifications..

 

And then ignored when I ask for justification.

I'll attempt to give you justification, but I don't know how the war mechanic works precisely, so I'm just making estimates. In a straight out fight, I'm pretty sure your forces would've won, but these things led to your defeat:

 

1. Positive Amphibious attack modifier

2. Defence Modifier reduced to 100% instead of 200% due to siege and betrayal of Rocco's forces in Japan.

3. Possibly no defence preperations (as in pm), so Arch used his dice roll to figure out how many troops were in Japan. He came up with 30 million militia.

4. Noting another thing, I did NOT spawn 30 million soldiers. Remember all spawn have to undergo 4 years of military training, and I probaly only received... 500,000 that spawned and completed military training. All the other spawn were killed by the attack on my colony. :P

I don't see why you would get a bonus from attacking from water. There's no reason for that, you have to step on land immediately, so surely it should be negated - aside from the fact that Japan isn't a 2D line.

 

Japan was under siege for a year at most, that doesn't make people give up.

No, you are quiet right. The initial invasion was fought with +490%, 290 from training/weapons and 200 from a waterborne attack because racially his people are better at sea-landings. Where as humans traditionally go up in boats and such the Licht can effectively walk out of the water. Defenses are thus not accustomed to dealing with a fairly fast deployment....The +200 is to counteract the plus 400 that sea defenders get down to just 200, which is the standard for defenses on land.

 

Additionally I did not indeed know how many defenders were in the area, but I assumed the leftovers were still there, so I used those figures and then the uprising was 30 million because of how bad things got last time.

 

Sieges and stuff tend to have little effect in this game, except to stop more troops coming in.

 

To be honest the balancing act is tremendously difficult. Retech is fully justified in his numbers but also Dungeonal is justified in not wanting to get booted out of his territory. As it turned out Retech has just enough to take the land, but like I said, its a tentative control unless a massive defeat is inflicted on the NWO another uprising will occur and probably destroy Retech's forces.

Even so Japan has been badly hit in this series.

I'm really tempted to help Dungeonal out, but by the time I get there he probably would have got it back or something. Either way, I am sending a force of 750,000 (including special forces) to combat the Licht threat. If they are defeated then I will give the land back to Dungeonal.
