Ok. I call BS on a number of things.

 

First off, retech, yes, the virus can potentially infect every kind of animal on your planet. It will mutate to infect your race, and it will mutate in a different way to infect planton, and another was to infect krill, and so on. It won't be the same virus, you'll have multiple viruses that are slightly different.

 

Secondly, mather, explain to me how in the hell are your creatures immune to disease? How do they die, at all?

 

Third, why is everybody helping retech out? Or, why is everybody so intent at stopping rocco? Seriously, back off, let rocco fire a few shots, and let's NOT start a massive war.

 

Last, and this hasn't happend too recently, but the whole "Unless you explain how it works, you can't use it". Well how the hell are we supposed to know? Not everybody on this thread knows how everything works. I bet you presidents and other world county leaders can't explain how their weapons exactly.

And I love that two of my races are imune to deseases and viruses, wait, that's part of the reason I chose them. :thumbsup:

But if the humans do the bulk of your work (as I remember) and they are still vulnerable to a virus, wouldn't that cripple your country?

Oh but the thing is they can easiley be replaced by jaffa or just hide in Atlantis.

 

The reason my people are imune to diseases is because the Goa'uld have naquadah in their blood, which is poisonous to bacteria, and an imune system far superior to that of any other present race, due to the millenia more they have existed.

Jaffa and hosts again carry Goa'uld symbionts and share their health.

 

Goa'ulds can live for millenia but are vounerable to heat and will shortly die without access to moving water or weak electrical currents, therefore they take hosts, they are also very fragile creatures and cannot take mouch physical harm unless inside the host. Jaffa can live to be more than two centuries old and are able to take more physical damage than humans, however their imune systems are incomplete and they therefore need a Goa'uld larva to survive after the age of ten, they can be killed by removing or killing their Goa'uld larvas.

As far as I'm aware, a race cannot be resistant to a disease that they have never discovered, due to the lack of antibodies.

Viruses don't rely on bacteria at all, but they do require not to get killed by the imune system, and that is very advanced at the Goa'uld point of evolution.

Virus A can affect humans. In 10 Years, it mutates so It can affect dogs. Virus A can infect humans, virus B can infect dogs.

It's not the same virus, it's different viruses.

And the shield doesn't have to protect the entire planet, just the populated areas, then the virus will die out on it's own/retech can find a cure/make a vaccine.
