Guest Mrmegakirby
Wait. So do we need 50 million people AND 500 billion dollars for every station? My GPD is 1.2 trillion. Does this mean I can only have 2 stations...?
archimage_a
Pretty much Stations cost a lot to run. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
Guest Mrmegakirby
And my stations are floating...Therefore 50 million people don't live by them. So are my stations useless?
archimage_a
Depends on the point of your space stations. If they are PP producing then they are useless, otherwise they are just normal stations that you can live on and such. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. Guest Mrmegakirby
... Fine. I'll build 2 new production stations down on my planet then. 12 years to build one, correct?
Grim_
Hmm well time to get the ships in to earth/joke Also the drone ship that I was using to mine in a major volcanic planet has found a new metal. More on this later.EDIT: Actually the 5 trillion was a good 50 years ago. So the money spent on infrastructure should give me a 2% raise per year or something like that. Retech
I'm pretty sure that your stations can be floating if your people are on the ground. Also, the budget thing makes absolutely no sense, so we should just cut that out. What if you live in a communist/monarchy/dictator ship where no one owns anything or has any money.  So the thing about the ships that are boarded basically just evacuate from the battle so they aren't destroyed is plausible, yay! Master of your domain? Wisp
Do you mean 500 billion budget? Or gdp? If it was budget no one would be able to have more than like... 12? And how do we account for mining ships, I have about 5-600 in the Tefarn system harvesting asteroids just for the stations. Ok, seeing as smaller ships seemed to work better against the Orz, I'll now mass produce heavy battleships, and fighters. Oh and, some civilian ships will be sent into space from Centauri to pick up some dead Orz, and exosuits. Retech
Fair enough. We're also immune to radiation :^_^: You'd think that machines would get messed up with radiation and have their circuits fried.  I could open one up, why do you need one? ----------------- Also, so fighters have a special clause where their power is stronger than their PP? Grim_
Fighters produced in special facilities have that clause yes so right now I am starting production of 7 praetorian class ships. Also would a 2% raise per year in GDP be around right (I have been pumping money into infrastructure and have been using massive mining operations with close to 200 asteroid miners.) Wisp
Alright, the Teran transports have dropped people off at earth, and the transport fleet from Tefarn has arrived to pick them back up. They will also be taking with them some of the facilities from Project Andy, for use on Tefarn. Â Population on the surface of Earth (as in not in habitats) is now 50 million in the americas. Retech
I'd say 2% is below average. China is expanding at the rate of 8-10% GDP per year, so I'd think it was feasible. Yours should be even higher, considering how much you are spending on infrastructure. Master of your domain? Okay I was working with a budget of 500 billion per year. So that would mean that my gdp from 50 years ago was 12.5 trillion :o
Retech
Good point, but I wasn't sure if Grim was already at that cap.   Also, what if my nationalists are a bunch of hippy-pseudoscience-communists who reject money as a burden on society? Guest Mrmegakirby
Ok, I'll be spending 20 years building 2 production stations down on Yexenus. Â I'll also be trying to figure out how to engineer my YO15 virus so it can survive in pure ethonal, then I'll engineer it so It can infect the Urk-Orz. Â GDP can rise by up to 40,000% of the population(So for every 1 million people you have you can have 40,000 Million more dollars) if your income exceeds 120,000 per person then the system crashes after two turns. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. Retech
Kirby, as a show of good faith I would like to give you one of my space production stations. Of course your people would have to work at it and supply it, but its free of charge if you send someone to move it. I would have no clue how to bring it to Yexenus, but you can have one if you want. Grim_
Okay then with a 2% growth of population over 50 years not compounding (to lazy) then holy crap I have over a billion people D: . Then with a 2% rise in gdp over 50 years from lets say a 500billion budget (12.5 trillion dollar gdp) to a 25 trillion dollar gdp (unless I reached a point of no growth)
archimage_a
Make sure you are minusing spending from that. Since ships and such still cost money. Right I am off off.
