The Dark Lord
Earth is suddenly engulfed by its ocean due to global warming. As it turns out, Gore was right all along, and now we're all screwed. That's strange. I always thought that the Anunnaki and the planet Nibiru would destroy Earth. The Anunnaki are giant humanoids with wings (some say they're Reptilians) that inhabit the planet Nibiru. Thousands of years ago, they came to Earth in search of gold (which was used to mitigate an atmospheric dilemma that they had). They eventually genetically engineered a new species (humans) and used them for slave labor. After the humans and some Anunnaki mated, the head Anunnaki got pissed off and flooded the world. When the Anunnaki come back in 2012, the planet Nibiru will pass by Earth, causing cataclysms. The western seaboard of the United States will be flooded. (Some people believe this [cabbage].) So.... Which theory sounds crazier? Gore's theory, or some Mesopotamians that smoked too much heroin? --------------- Now, let's get back on topic. :P -------------- Second Life was completed. All ships have been retrofitted with this technology. Also, Haven has announced that its personal Second Life devices (for sleep) have been completed. With the government now able to meet the emotional needs of the populace, I would like to say that i have become a utopia (in a certain aspect, at least). Eden is steadily growing. Population on Kajea should be around 2.4-2.5 billion now due to births. Add about another 300 million onto the planet due to colonisation programmes (Britanniae to Kajea). Scion, Pax Britannica, and Birthright continue to be rebuilt. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.
archimage_a
I like the idea of global warming....I like the idea of sudden ice age even better. However Earth is a fairly pointless planet by now, since everyone one Earth has a capital not on Earth.... Galactic Ice Age? Anyway the fleets sent though the Heavy Space Portal found a star system about 20 years from the end of its life, as well as a planet and Grims probe. There is virtually nothing on the planet...[/epic waste of time] http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts. The_Mather1
Hex, that's still a few hundred times the energy output of earth. For like 3 trillion dollars.Might sound like alot that costs nothing, but; 1,000,000,000,000,000.00 watts made by a device that cost 3,000,000,000,000.00 That's 333.333,333,333,333... or 1/3*1000 watts per dollar after 100 years of research. -Hardly seeems unfair with complete numbers. archimage_a
So 333 dollars per watt of electricity...I think spending that much per ZPM is fine. Though personally building a steam engine for, say 200 Dollars(its a kettle with a heating pan) and supplying it with coal, say 50 dollars, would be a better way to produce electricty.... http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. Due to Retechs help the avarage surface temperature of the terraformed planet is now ten degrees. Some research groups have been out and studying the fauna on the terraformed planet, it consists of several species of mamoth-like creatures, two cat species simmiliar to the saber toothed we had under the ice ages, a sort of arctic monkey and a furry snake-like creature that seems to be some sort of relative to the goa'uld, samples the two latter are being captured for scientific pourposes. Also small settlements are being created on the planet, they however refuse to name it and sais that right belongs to the lichtes. RpgGamer
I don't think you guys understand the concept of global warming...In one year, the average temp would increase like .001 degrees farenheit. It takes hundreds of years to pollute the Earth like we did :) Oh, and the ocean levels would rise, but because Earth is an equilibrium, it would only be a matter of time before it became just a giant sphere of sheet ice. RpgGamer
I really don't believe that c02 is the cause of global warming. It's a natural biproduct from exhaling, but that's why there are plants, to consume the C02, and "exhale" oxygen. It's more methane than C02, which comes from non-renewable resource refuse. I'm sure billions of rotting bodies wouldn't be good for the atmosphere, but it's pretty insignificant overall. In game though, Earth has been way over industrialized, and the ozone is probably got multiple holes in it thanks to all the wars and super factories. I can't imagine there being much plant life left. Oh, and in game I can cure the common cold, due to 30+ years of research with Zhoruec plants. Sweet. RpgGamer
Thats all fine a nd dandy Doom, but ecofriendly or not(which I would like an explanation as to how you are "100%" ecofriendly) having factories underground would ruin soil to the point of infertility. Not to mention America was practically a crater before it was built back up. I can't imagine the land is too good there. Bulding structures are one thing, but the farming can't possibly be profitable in those conditions. Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic.
