archimage_a
It occurs to me that in...19 years your planet will be uninhabitable due to temperature increases. Also clearing that many bodies will take rather a long time, at least 5 years I would say. Also Retech's universal global warming thing is farcical. - A) There is no technology to back it up, B) unless s/he plans to heat the universe 1 Square Meter at a time s/he is going to have a very hard time. Next, your power generation system.A one off payment is fine, as long as it is per ZPM. I think that building a ZPM over the course of 80 or however many years, spending 300T on it per year, is perfectly reasonable. I will reiterate though that Steam is probably a better way to go...far cheaper. I mean basically you have built a large battery, a battery which violates the fundamental laws of physics in that it extracts energy from the lowest energy point... kind of like collecting 300 billion empty egg boxes together and then taking 1 egg out of the whole on the basis that will 300 billion empty egg boxes there must be at least one egg... Violates the commonsense laws of the universe. In the words of Einstein 'Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no further' I think a reasonable cap for your ZPM is 8 Trilliard (Sextillion short scale) Watts, at 1 Amp, so 8 Trilliard Joules or 8,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Joules. Effectively 500,000,000 times Earth's yearly output. Thus the conversion of dollars to joules is.... 24,000,000,000,000,000 Dollars per 8,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Joules or 0.000003 Dollars per Joule. Since it costs, currently, 12 pence per thousand watts/Joules the ZPM is actually cheaper by a factor of 666.6 .Eg. If a ZPM took 100 years to build then the energy contained within it would be equal to 66,666.6 years worth of conventional electricity, almost 67 millennia. The obvious draw back is that if you shot that ZPM it would explode and consume the solar system, because that much energy is far in excess of the amount of energy required to blow up a planet, which I think is something like 4,700,000,000,000,000 Joules(The actual figure would be much higher due to waste, but since the ZPM is soooooooooo far in excess) Oh, RPG, I fail to see how it would ruin soil fertility. Ash is actually rather good for planets, as is CO2. Sulphur is admittedly bad, but, to be honest, I think Doom's people would have learned in the last 80 or so years how not to kill the land... Anyway. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

The_Mather1
ZPMs are built fast at the cost of 3T, they generate one Petawatt through harvesting energy from the wormholes opening and closing within the space-time foam, at maximum capasity one ZPM can last for 3,333.333... years. The Dark Lord
Ozone is produced over thousands of years! You can't just create it. But can we transport it? We have the technology. We can create this world's first ozone layer. we can make it safer, stronger, hotter. --- In other news, an astronaut has been injured while he was horse-playing in a space station. Surgeons on Britanniae are trying to keep him alive. "Steve Austin, astronaut. A man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic man. Steve Austin will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster." This endeavour will cost six million dollars. ---- The popularity of Second Life is soaring. With the Second Life headset, nightmares are nonexistent. With people now able to never age, organs don't deteriorate. Theoretically, everyone who has taken the new drugs are immortal, but diseases still cause deaths. Therefore, people don't actually live forever, but they have significantly greater lifespans and never age. This has led people to pursue sexual fantasies due to their eternal youthfulness. With Second Life thrown into the mix, my people can live whichever kind of life that they want. They can be rulers of the world. They can be God. They can be whatever they like. The downside is that some people have furr-tastic fantasies within their Second Life, which is pretty creepy. Regardless, I can safely say that my people reside within one of the most happiest nations to have ever existed. Also, test scores have risen dramatically, thanks to the intelligence and cognition drugs. The suicide rate is almost nonexistent since suicidal patients that can't be treated are seeking the benefits from Second Life. This is also due in part to the White Trees that are scattered throughout major cities. More cities are being planned for Kajea and Gaia. In fifty years, we plan to have the Three Realms of the Britannian Empire to be fully developed (for now, at least). Work continues to be done on the Federation realms (Wet Realms). The mermaids have been transported to the planet, and infrastructure is being improved. A map of Eden has been sent to the Kaminoan government. It is currently awaiting recognition. --- For what it's worth, quit trying to destroy the game, please. I know at least a couple people are still playing. I'll also play with whoever still wants to play, but I'm not sure how active I'll be on Aeroika anyway. I think I'm going to be more active in Kingdoms, to be honest. --- I can't access Hegepedia for some reason. Anyway, here are some definitions for the terms that I use: -Realm: Britannian earth-like world (full control over a planet)-Second Life: The simulated reality software that is used for a variety of purposes by residents of the Britannian Empire.-Haven: Oversees the Second Life and Ark programmes-Ark: A type of colony vessel that is used by the Britannian government; they are designed for rapid emergency evacuation-Farland: Term used for safehouse planets that are discovered by Haven as part of the Ark programme-Eden: Britannian colony on Zhoreuc; also a name for the continent on which the colony is located-Wet Realms: Aquatic worlds owned by the Britannian government SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on. I have SACs, they can create Ozone by rearranging oxygen into molecules of three, also Ozone is continously created in our atmosphere as O2 braks down and an O and an O2 forms together into an O3. ZPMs were accepted previously by both Ross and Doom, they only told me to limit it to 5,000,000 nuclear powerplantsplants of power, 3T per and 100 years of research. And subspace-/quantum-/space-time foam is proven to exist, as well the wormholes inside it are microscopic and unstable thus they are within the rules(especcially if we take your "random-find stable wormhole" into considderation. And 1PW made from 3T is not overly efficient and is not comparable to (say one lump of coal is 5kg) 5kg = 20$ made into 1.21 GW. The Dark Lord
This is the layout of Elysia. The_Mather1
My building company is now given 500 tel'taks and 100 jumpers, their new goal is to create a sort of space-station "net" covering my entire planets at 100km distance from the outer edges of the atmosphere, it will have big enough holes to fit atlantis at north, south and for evenly spaced around ekvator, as well as capability to dock it, this will function as one gigantic 1000 floor city with the lower five pools filled with algae, kelp, seagrass and other aquatic plants to provide oxygen, as well it will have underwater housings in case the Lichtes want to visit, the middle ten decks will contain entire forests of fruit trees and livestock to feed the people, the lower- and upper-middle will contain housings for several tens if not hundreds of billions, the middle twenty floors will act as public buildings, stores and computer rooms, the upper 7 floors will contain shield emitters, drone launchers and EM-beams to protect both it and the planet it is above, the construction of them will be done part by part, allowing each section to be populated while the next is made, they will be done in fifty years. Wisp
Update: Brazilian mining colonies have reported that they have now stored a total of 6,000 kg of Duna, the new material. An ongoing research project, Project Merc (I forget what I originally called it, but I mentioned the Duna requirement) requires 10,000kg for completion, so unless I buy some from anyone it'll be another 10 years. Although it's just becoming public now, researchers on Project Wolf reached an important milestone three years ago, though the project is not expected to be completed until some time in the early 2170's. (New Years) On Earth, over 500 million civilians live on the surface once more, as part of Project Andy Relocation. Planet Kentarus in the Centauri system is finally having some of it's ecological laws lifted, as previously all the humans on the planet (~198m) were located in a small area about 5 times the size of Japan, and the rest of the planet was a preserve. The way this is being lifted is with the development of sub-ocean Habitats. Construction on those facilities will continue for as long as it takes. Sere, just saying, the downside of slowing down aging is that people will heal slower. So like, broken bones, cuts, and so on will all taker longer to heal. I'm not saying that you're wrong, but how would eliminating the aging process cause healing to be slower? Couldn't cell reproduction still occur, just without the wear and tear from aging? Anyway, the "immortality" thing arises from my anti-aging drug that was co-researched with Rpg, which was based off of an already-existing drug that he had. Basically, we just improved the anti-aging drug and found a way to eliminate the side-effects (early death, etc). Because the anti-aging process was eliminated, the problems from the aging process (deterioration of organs) were eliminated. The only things that really cause death now are disease and natural disasters. Also, I didn't care much about the scientific aspect as much since most of the things in the game at the moment are impossible in real life anyway. Let's say you have a cell that's AAAAA. It duplicates, but messes up, and now there are two AABAA cells. All the cells that come from those cells will all have the same mutation. Eventually, there will be enough mutation that it has bad effects. The older you are, the more likely you are to have the bad effects since there has been more time for error. Anyway, by slowing down the cell duplication process by a largeish amount you can prevent most of the mutations from happening, but that also means that the body heals slower, is more affected by illness, etc. Hegemony-Spain
