I've never seen anyone else actually copy-paste that signature of yours (aside from those random steal the avatar/signature times). I guess that means you're crazy.

Okay, since Russia realised that he was well and truly [bleep], I have decided to hold off the invasion for now, but I will strictly monitor Russia's actions from now on.

I see any war as a last resort here, if it can be avoided, so be it.

About half of my forces are still stationed on the Russian border, for observation, the rest have returned home.

Russia has surrendered, and war has been prevented.

Thanks for the support everyone.

The suits are en route to your capital, Dusty.

The suits will have to be sent to a repair station, but I have some small stations set up worldwide, so it shan't be too much trouble.

Another ally for my fight against Russia.

Thank you, Dusty, and the suits will be transported just as soon as you tell me which type you want!

I'll buy 2 of the Exobreakers and 2 wraiths (if you're willing to sell the wraiths).

But can't I just buy them and then have my scientists figure out how they're made, and engineer them myself?

Also, the German military has devoted $14b to a new prototype weapon, but any other news than that is being kept tight-lipped. (They're not for the exosuits lol)

From page 60. :P

Ima pm you my plan for dealing with Russia.

Umm, no you can't, they have anti-tamper devices, which means you can't just open one and engineer one yourself. Trying to just destroys it.

What happens when they break then? I don't want to have to ship them back to you so that UPS can just happen to "lose" them in the mail.

You would send them through UPS? Are you stupid? You would send a military team to deliver it. Plus I doubt he would replace them, as you shouldn't be trying to tamper with them. :shame:

Ugh. There's three of you that have almost the exact same avatar.

That's because I made them. :D

Plus there are more than 3 of us with them.

On who, Dusty? He just seems to be pokin' fun, no harm done.

Maybe if I thought he had a reason to be mean to me I'd "go for it", but considering I don't see one there I can only assume he's just making a clever observation. And it's true, I don't see that many people copying my sig  .

Looking to buy some exo suits due to the increased tensions between nations.

Which model, A-3, or wraith?

@ ross: Model A-3.

Bulgaria update: Field version of the De Vinci robot has been completed and will be in use in the military in the next few months. Now working on "print out" organs for a better supply for transplants.

A month after being launched, our prototype returned successfully from Neptune. Most of that month was spent studying Neptune's moons and running tests, and so on. While our propulsion technology cannot take us to the speed of light, it can take us to a good percentage of that speed. We are now going to unveil the specifics of the space program, and it's purpose. We originally stated that the space program would be used for travel within our system, so we could get to other planets faster. This was not actually our intention. 14 years ago, a planet that was previously concealed by solar disruptions from the star Rigel kentaurus was discovered. We believe it may have a similar atmosphere to earth from our observations, and thus may be habitable. So, we approached Norway, who had made similar observations about the recently discovered planet, and so we combined our budgets and started working together to make a spacecraft that could reach the planet within our lifetime.

We originally planned on using conventional means to house and feed the astronauts, but that would be very cost, and space ineffective, and would require a much bigger spacecraft. So, Norway began heavy research into cryogenic sleep. 8 years into the project, they completed their research. From there on out it was just building the modules for Norway. Meanwhile, my country, Brazil, was working on the means to get us to the planet. We settled on using a nuclear fusion based rocket. We finished it 5 years ago, and since then we have been working on getting a space station up to assemble the spacecraft, and serve as a launch point.

We are now proud to announce, that after 14 years, the project is complete. The space craft is in space, and fully assembled. The colonization/exploration crew is around 1000 people strong, 1050 to be exact. Since Japan was the only major donor to the space program other than Norway and Brazil, some astronauts that we received from them for training will be going on the trip. The breakdown is this: 500 Brazilians, 500 Norwegians, and 50 Japanese crew members. The trip is expected to take about 7 years, depending on the effectiveness of the engine. During the trip, 1000 crew members will be kept in cryogenic sleep, and 50 will remain awake in order to do necessary tasks, and to insure that there are no robotic errors.

Here is my crappy drawing of the ship.

spacecraft.png

The modules are separated into several rings, which will spin around the main body of the ship, in order to simulate gravity. The frontmost point of the ship is where the conscious crew members will spend most of their time.

Once the spacecraft arrives on the planet, it will land, and will serve as the hub for colonization/exploration efforts. The area on top/front of the ship will serve as a small biosphere upon landing.

We will launch the spacecraft midway through next year, barring anything going wrong.

I probably forgot something in that post, if so I'll edit it in later.

Wow. That's pretty sweet. Good luck in your exploratory endeavors. We await news eagerly. Well, not too eagerly. It's gonna be at least 12 years before we get the first transmission, assuming you don't have any sort of ansible type device.

I offer a diplomatic solution to Germany, despite the call of my people. Russia seems to be our common enemy, and there's no need to spark a world conflict over a few accidental bombs. Luxembourg will re-instate a peace treaty with Germany on the condition that reperations are made for the destruction of the damaged parts of Belgium.

Luxembourg is very impressed with the results yielded in the Japan/Brazil/Norway space program.

I didn't realize we were at war. Anyways, Germany has sent a number of its people to help repair damaged buildings, but asks that in future situations to correct me when I post Luxembourg and Belgium as separate countries :x

As is Germany, and regrets that it was not around to contribute to this project, so it could not overwhelm the crew and make this new planet New Germany.

My apologies for not telling you that Belgium was my territory, but I am grateful for your acceptance of my offer. Eh whatever, I have bigger things to deal with (literally - Russia is quite a bit bigger than Luxembourg :P)

Oh, and btw, The Pope controls Catholics, not Christians \'

Actually Christianity is sort of an umbrella, it encompasses both Catholic and Protestant. Much like Shi'ite and Sunni are both Muslims, they just subscribe to certain nuanced changes in belief from one another.

Worldwide, Christians are divided, often along ethnic and linguistic lines, into separate churches and traditions. Technically, divisions between one group and another are defined by doctrine and church authority. Issues such as the nature of Jesus, the authority of apostolic succession, and papal primacy separate one denomination from another.

Catholicism is the largest denomination, comprising just over half of Christians worldwide. Protestant denominations comprise about 40% of Christians worldwide, and together the Catholics, Protestants, Anglicans, and other closely related denominations compose Western Christianity. Eastern Orthodoxy, largely Greek and Russian, and the much smaller Oriental Orthodoxy, along with the Mar Toma churches and the Assyrian Church of the East are considered Eastern Christianity. Western Christian denominations prevail in Europe and its former colonies. Eastern Christian denominations are represented mostly in Eastern Europe (including all of Russia), and the Near East.

So while Catholicism dominates most of Europe, and Protestant most of North America, they both fall under the umbrella of Christianity, which is what the Pope "rules". This is what lead to the Pope having such an influtential position in Medieval politics, as he was the higher authority of pretty much every European country.

Doom, I would very much wish to join in this space program.

The benefits of allowing me into it would include the use of Faroe, the archives of which contain much information that could be helpful, as well as use of Faroe's mass driver.

I can divert 85% of my military scientists to space study, seeing as the war machines I have presently are more than enough.

As a fellow human, who believes we should not simply be limited to a single planet, I think it would be best for the whole space project if I could help.

Do you accept my help and support for this monumental task?

Edit: Rereading your post, I think it is impossible to join the current craft, but would still like to be a part of the space exploration and research.

In this new race to the stars, North Africa has decided to begin its own space program. $45b have been diverted from other projects to the space program.

In response to the lack of funding, taxes have been raised. Also, we have begun marching further south in Africa in the hopes of finding more valuable resources to be exported.

Just remember, to get us to the point we're at, it took us, in total, 15 years, and over a trillion dollars.

Also, to any prospective members of the space program, I'll have to talk with indy500fan (norway).

I highly doubt that. If global warming hits Africa will become uninhabitable. Germany's temperature will transform into that of a Mediterranean country - meaning lots of $ from tourism.

Well it isn't like we're starting from scratch, either. In my opinion you drew yours out a bit, at the current rate technology is going I think you could've had that done in 10-12 years with a little more funding.

I estimate our first manned mission to space will be in the next 3 years, first lunar landing in 8 years, from there? I have no idea.

We had research and develop working suspended animation modules, a near-light speed propulsion system, materials that could withstand the massive amount of strain put on them while traveling at that speed, and the most advanced navigation system in the history of the world. If anything, the 15 years we spent was almost too little.

Oh, and you're back lent? I think turkey's open. Or you could probably take one of the countries people abandoned, even though there's kind of rules against that, I think it's sort of stupid to just have china, taiwan, the US, etc. disappear.
