TheKoolKandy Posted August 1, 2009 Share Posted August 1, 2009 If you want to finish really fast and don't mind spending a bit of money cannon is definatly the way to go, but remember you can only do cannon under lighthouse. kwimbob Posted August 1, 2009 Share Posted August 1, 2009 A cannon in the lighthouse is amazingly quick slayer exp (though can bring complaints from the other people in the world, hehe). There are other Dagannoth that are different than them, such as the ones in Waterbirth who use Ranged attacks instead of melee, and will drop Dagannoth hides for the Waterbirth armors, in addition to just the normal nice drops like in the lighthouse. The other option is to kill them in the Chaos Tunnels, also multicombat like the lighthouse but you can't use a cannon. Here they have more charm drops and some other nice drops, but you really would need to pray protect from range the whole time. These are the same as the Waterbirth Dagannoth, they used ranged attacks and drop the hides and pieces for the rangers' Waterbirth armor, but they drop more charms in the Chaos Tunnels. If you want to do it cheaply you can just kill them like normal monsters with melee in the multicombat and just have some nice armor and some food in the lighthouse and watch someone else do the cannon, hehe. Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. The ones at Lighthouse (which requires a quest I believe - go to tip.it's bestiary and find dagannoths, and it'll tell you which) are much weaker... so I would really recommend them, unless you can afford the pray pots, and are hunting for red charms. Its actually cheaper to Pray them in the CT then to cannon them under the LH. But if you just go melee them you can do them under the LH. How ever if you do pray then in the CT you can make profit from them. Where as you don't when you kill them in the LH, unless you get an absurd amount of smapdragon seeds. Robert_R Posted August 1, 2009 Share Posted August 1, 2009 Use the chaos tunnels if you don't want to use a cannon. They make money even with the cost of prayer potions and they drop a lot of charms. Just bring good prayer gear and a black mask/slayer helm, 5 prayer pots should be more then enough and a super set. Pray range protect and keep auto on and it will be very fast. I managed to do an entire task in 35 minutes and make 309k last time I had them for a task. Ya I know that isn't as fast as a cannon but unlike the cannon you actually make some money.
