August 6, 200916 yr Personally at the beginning, it was the huge Clws/PK Wars, but now its more Community for me. Divine Forces | #DF on irc.seersirc.net | Most Motivated | http://rs-df.com/forums
August 6, 200916 yr My brothers being a leader/warlord of a few clans made me see how it was like, so I eventually got into it myself.
August 6, 200916 yr I love the intensity. Rs is a fun game in general, but nothing is like preparing all week to fight your rivals. True Ownage Co-Leader

August 6, 200916 yr I joined TF at low combat in '05, just wondering what a clan was all about. I had been a part of Scapeboard & TIF until then, but it's not really the same. Joining a junior clan increased my playing fun, that's for sure. So partly because of the community, but the original reason was to really PvP in wild.
August 6, 200916 yr Both warring and community but a good community is definitely more important to me than just having wars and it has been from the time I first joined an official clan
August 6, 200916 yr I remember when I joined *-PKM-*, I had just gotten membership back, and was looking to try new things. I had always heard of clans and had assumed I would join one once I got higher combat, so I went looking. I started with the RSOF, but was largely unimpressed. Then I looked on TIf, and found pkm. I would say in terms of warring or community, I've always been a warring person, but I certainly value the community as well. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
August 6, 200916 yr When I first started RuneScape, I was only interested in exploring and training my levels. Once I reached a certain point however I felt that it was quite monotonous. Then I decided to explore fansites and see what they have to offer. Lo and behold I found that many users organized themselves in groups called "clans" with a name and pride attached to it. I then, of course, got interested in one and submitted my "Looking for a clan" thread in my search for a good clan that I would call home. This was after I created my own clan (Monks of Zamorak) which I then decided not to make after about a day. I've found that starting a clan is certainly much harder than I thought. How did I finally choose *-P.K.Masters-*? Well, on my thread, Dbzruler72 posted his recruitment topic. Normally clanners would want to join a powerhouse, right? However, I knew with my computer being so old that I would never be able to survive a war never mind affording all those rune sets. So, I decided to go small and after a few years, I am still in that clan today. Now, after all these years in that one clan, I've learned to appreciate the smaller clanning community as well as its many members. I also enjoy the tightly knitted community where each clan member can decide a win or a loss in wars and get to know each other, like a family. Where in larger clans this is harder to have. (No, I'm not saying that this can't happen. :P ) All in all, I've found that a war record is pretty pleasing (and hell, I sure do love warring), but nothing will ever beat the community of a clan. The community makes or breaks a clan because after all, if everyone hates each other, what organization will you have? Me personally? I've made many friends in my clan, as well as a few in Militos Deci, which was another great, small community-based clan. :

One of the best communities around, but it was such a pain to make events in that clan, when the most I've ever seen go to an event was 5... Now that I think of it, we had to laxed rules for recruitment.
August 8, 200916 yr I was on the cusp of quitting when I met a wonderful person online (who I'm still friends with today) and he helped me start training and explore runescape just a bit more. One day on a whim, he signed me and himself up for a clan. He ended up quitting runescape, but I continued in that clan until the coleader left and went to The Death Squad. Shortly thereafter I followed him there. I didn't know about anything of what they did. I was drawn in by this awesome concept of a community who all played runescape. I was pulled kicking and screaming to pks and I always moaned when I died--a rune set was a lot of money when your only moneymaker was mining coal in free to play! But over the years I liked the PvP aspect of it more and more until I fell in love with a clan that held a good mix of PvP and community.
