indy500fan Posted October 2, 2005 Share Posted October 2, 2005 yeah, i liked the first pirates of the carribean, so ill watch the second. national treasure was a good suprise for me, i didnt expect it to be good but i actually liked it a lot (diane kruger may have had something to do with that :wink: ). King Kong is another one i am looking forward to, directed by peter jackson, and has naomi watts in it :D . Elizabethtown - looks ok, but its directed by cameron crowe and his other movies were pretty good (vanilla sky-GREAT, almost famous, jerry maguire, fast times at ridgemont high were all pretty good) so im going to see it in case its great. only problem is it has kirsten dunst in it, and i hate her. probably going to ruin the movie for me. King Kong - I want to watch it because of Peter Jackson who made Lord of the Ring movies. Also I'm not sure if someone did made it between 1960's and 1990's beside 1930's version movie. Pirates of the Carribean 2 - I like first movie and I hope second is better. National treasure 2 - I won't watch it after I watched first. I prefer Indiana Jones than National Treasure. Johnny Depp owned, but he always does. Without him, the film would have been total trash, IMHO. Personally, I'm waiting for HP 4 (hoping the new director does a good job - I liked HP 3 better than the first two in any case, but there's still plenty of room for improvement, imho) and for Narnia. His other books also are on best seller lists but really arnt that good at all. Just because something sells a lot doesnt means its good. Thats like saying McDonalds makes the best food in the world because they sell the most food. Then of course screenplays are rarely as close to the book as people would like.
