My Epic LEGO Project?

Hopefully this topic has discussion value o.O.

Sorry for new account...for reasons I can't disclose I can't post under my normal alias...Anyways, I had a bunch of LEGOs (woot) as a kid, and I'm kind of tired of them just sitting in a box doing nothing. So, I've decided to make a huge project, but I can only make one of the following and I'm not sure which would be the most awesome. Help me decide? =D

- An Engine: Yeah, it's been done many times before, but still, it'd be cool to have a working engine out of LEGOs.

- A Plane: I kinda am leaning towards this, like, an actual flying plane somehow, but it would be cool.

- A Helicopter: Eh, I'm more of a plane guy, because even if i did this, I'd have to figure out all the ratios for the parts so it wouldn't spin out of control, etc...

- A Gun: This was the original idea I had in mind before my imagination went out of control. Not like a rubber band gun, but a equal-to-or-greater force like an airsoft. Semi-auto would be cool too.

So OT, what sounds the coolest?

A plane would be nice, I don't see how you'd do that but I wish you luck.

Matt: You want that eh? You want everything good for you. You want everything that's--falls off garbage can

Camera guy: Whoa, haha, are you okay dude?

Matt: You want anything funny that happens, don't you?

Camera guy: still laughing

Matt: You want the funny shit that happens here and there, you think it comes out of your [bleep]ing [wagon] pushes garbage can down, don't you? You think it's funny? It comes out of here! running towards Camera guy

Camera guy: runs away still laughing

Matt: You think the funny comes out of your mother[bleep]ing creativity? Comes out of Satan, mother[bleep]er! nn--ngh! pushes Camera guy down

Camera guy: Hoooholy [bleep]!

Matt: FUNNY ISN'T REAL! FUNNY ISN'T REAL!

Make the plane, then super size. Next make the gun. Mount the gun on the supersized plane. Now terrorize your neighbors.

The only difference between Hitler and the man next door who comes home and beats his kids every day is circumstance. The intent is the same-- to harm others.

[hide=Tifers say the darndest things]

I told her there was a secret method to doing it - and there is - but my once nimble and agile fingers were unable to perform because I was under the influence.

I would laugh, not hate. I'm a male. :(

Since when was Ireland an island...? :wall:

I actually have a hobby of licking public toilet seats.

A flying lego is basically impossible. None of the gears in lego engines could handle that much, and would melt. A gun is impossible too. Unless you're shooting little tiny legos. And even then it would barely work.

I suggest you look at nerf guns to see the most basic springer type guns, like the nerf nightfinder. (it's like 6$).

There's a plunger tube, a plunger, a spring, a trigger, a catch, and a barrel. I don't think that could be done with legos.

I suggest making something really cool, but don't expect it to fly or whatever. The best you could do is make a helicopter/plane with spinning propellors, and maybe make the plane have working wheels.

Realists stfu and gtfo please. I'm not going to use LEGO parts and such, just for the frame etc.

I think a naval carrier would be quite cool.

I'm actually getting all the pieces from a carrier model, lol.

With that attitude no-one will make suggestions. They do have a good point.

Then its not going to be an Epic Lego Project, just an engine surrounded with legos. -.-

You're asking for suggestions on what to make with legos, and advice. So when someone gives you real advice, you act like a [bleep].

So, if you'd rather us make up random stuff up that would be cool for you to build with legos, why don't you build a working lego space station, and a few lego rockets to get it up into orbit. Nevermind llogic, it'd be cool!

I'd say a helicopter, since I think it would be really cool, but since it would require a lot of work a plane would be just fine. If you want, you can pm an admin and they will add a poll for you.

Not actual Lego bricks, are they? I'm not aware of any Aircraft Carrier Lego sets.

Guns, especially of the rubberband flavor, have been pulled off rather well in Lego form, but i suggest you make a plane.

The most feasible project would be something that goes. Realistically, the epitome of what the average person could do would be a go-kart or similiar small car contraptions. That's what you should be aiming for, especially initially.

I can't understand why a new alias had to be made over some LEGOs...Maybe over a girl, that's understandable, but LEGOs? Where's the harm?

Anyway, I say build a scale mobel of an '88 Delorean. Include a flux capacitor

I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"

walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

A plane is concievable, but there's a lot that goes into making them. Especially the electronics. My dad builds and flies model foam planes, and I'm usually there helping him, so I mostly know what I'm talking about. It's more than hooking a battery to a motor and going. But if you already have that clear, you could potentially build the frame out of Legos. The elevator and such could, too, but you would have to get actual plane servos in order to make them move. Some of the parts can be fairly expensive, even the cheap ones. And then there's no guarantee you'll ever actually manage to fly it. A car or something would be far easier.
