There is one  It's in this thread somewhere :P

My hands havent shaken this bad for months, finished it on my first try. The healers make the boss extremely difficult to kill. They wasted 4 of my 4 sharks and left me with 51hp, and TzTok-Jad was at half health. Then I accidently put my prayer off twice, but the hits were 0s and I survived.

If you have 90+ prayer, replace 2 prayer potions with 2 sharks... I was left with 4 full four-dosers.

impressive, now i need to do barows, rais herblore for prayr pots........yeah me.....

i need to train to get the lava cape.. lol

is it tradeable?

gowcopy.gif

OMFG>

I tried it 3 times.

At my last time I managed to get to the 360 with the 2nd 90.

I ran west, I turned off my mage pray and put on ranged pray. The 90 with range and 360 with mage attacked me (45,40) dead.

I had still left like 6pray pots,5 sharks and 400 rune arrows.

BTw,I was in rune and dragon hides with mage shortbow..

I need more help on killing the 360 with the 90s !

HELP!!!!!!

Ltu-Boy i think barrows would be better than rune for fight arena :?

OMFG>

Yesterday winned.

I got to the part when the lvl 360 and 2 lvl 90s come.

Ya btw.. I think I should take barrows there, not for meele because when I meeled in rune I Didn't use one shark.

X-bow or crystal bow would work there I think.

The problem with crystal is that it will be low on charges once you're to the boss, and you'll have a hard time hitting it :/

adamski121.png

I have been to the boss 2 times failed... so far i can confirm this:

1.You can't use cannon sorry:P

2.80+ranged is a must if you want to reach the boss with pray pots in your inventar i got 82 and most of the times i took 20 4 dose i didn't reached him always goten to the yellow 360...

3.Theres no way to prevent him from hiting you no matter where you stand you can only prevent the melee atack by choosing good ranging spot, should be the one you use for ranging the 180s.

4.Don't panic it doesn't help.Get some drugs and get poted irl if you must to stay calm.

5.Use magic short or karil if your ranged is lower crystal bow is very slow and if you hit less than you will run out of pray in the middle of the fight..

6.100 addy arrows till the 360s 300 for the 360s and god knows how many for the big one still working on it.8M down the drain....

I am going to try it once more.

If I fail than I am going to train my 89 ranged...

Almost makes me want to try it.. :D

Alot of people believe that it only possible to get the fire cape if you have guthans. Well, this is pretty much true... However, for a small percentage of high level players it is possible. I defeated TzTok-Jad for the first time tonight without using guthans.

My equipment consisted of black dragonleather (gloves, chest, legs) , rune boots, whip, fury amulet, obsidian shield, rune plate, dragon legs, archer helmet, crystal bow full. In my inventory I had 1 ranged pot, 1 super defense pot, 1 holy wrench, 4 slots taken up by equipment, 10 sharks, 11 4-dose prayer pots.

When Jad died I was left at 28 hitpoints with 2 full prayer potions and no sharks remaining. If anyone is interested in what my strategies were I can post later, but for right now I have other things to do so I will leave my post at that

i tried it with my 64..it was so funny! i got to the 360's and died eating sharks!@

I originally posted this on my topic in the Rate This board, but I figure it will probably get read by more people who are interested here so I will post it here as well. It is a detailed description of the strategies I used to beat the fight arena, specifically without the aid of Guthans.

Until the first 90 came, I wore black leather chest and dragon legs. I killed the 45s and the 22 birds with the crystal bow, preferably before they reached me. I killed the level 22 blobs with whip as they don't drain prayer.

Once the first 90s came, before every round I switched to obsidian shield, whip, rune plate and dragon legs. I would use ranged pray until I got within melee distance of the 90s and then take it off and kill them with whip. At the appearance of the 180s I had only used 1 pray potion and 1 shark.

When the 180s appear it gets alot easier for a while. I switched to ranged equipment and stayed in a safe spot, waiting for the enemies to come to me. The 180s get stuck nearly every time, and if they don't all you have to do is hit protection from melee as you run by them and go to another spot. Once the 90s start appearing with the 180s the strategy changes slightly. I switched to full melee at the beginning of each round and killed 90s first, then lead the 180s to a safe spot and ranged. When the first 360 appeared I had used 2 sharks and 2 pray potions.

When the 360s appear it gets alot easier for a while again. I used full ranged equipment, magic prayer on all the time. When the 90s started appearing I switched to full melee equipment and killed them with whip as fast as i could before switching to full ranged equipment and killing the 360. After a while the 90s actually stop appearing for a while and its the 360 with a 180. I kept full range equipment on at all times, at the beginning of the round I blocked the 180 behind the 360 and killed the 360. After the 360 is dead you can take off pray and kill the 180 by leading to a safe spot and ranging. After a while the 90s start coming back and this is where it becomes somewhat dangerous.

At the beginnign of each round I put magic prayer on first, equipped full melee and killed the 90 first regardless of anything else. Sometimes the 180 spawns near the 90 so I would just block the 180 with the 90 while I was killing it. Sometimes the 90 spawns dangerously close to the 360. Since the 360 can deal around 50 damage max with melee its best to simply range the 90s when this occurs.

You know you are getting close when you get a round with only 1 360 and 2 90s. After this there is a round with 2 180s and 1 360, and then 2 360s. This gives you a nice break to prepare for Jad.

When I reached Jad I had 4 prayer potions left, 4 sharks, and 98\98 hitpoints. Jad randomly spawns in one of the corners of the map it would seem. You will get a warning from the Tzarr you see talking to you at the beginning of the Arena right before he spawns. When this happens, put on either Range or Magic prayer immediately.

When you find Jad he will immediately hit you with 1 attack that there is no way to prepare for. There is a 50% chance that it will be of the type you are praying against. For this reason the only way you are guarenteed to live is by being over 94 (or more) hitpoints, as this is what he hit me for. Afterwards you must keep switching prayers according to the type of attack he is using or you WILL die.

When he is about to use a ranged attack, he will lift his feet up very high and bring them back down very quickly. Before he uses a magic attack it will make a wierd sound, and he will lift his feet half-way up and keep them there for 2-3 seconds. What I have found to be the best method for switching prayers is this. Once you successfully block one attack, switch your mouse cursor over to the other prayer type after clicking on him to attack. Keep your cursor there until you see him do the other type of attack. At this point click the left mouse button one time. You will have time to do various tasks in between switching prayers.

When he is half-way dead he will summon healers that will start healing him. These healers are level 108 with a max hit of 11 and they heal at the same rate as the level 180 healers. It is NOT possible to kill him with all four healers healing him. It is easy; however, to get rid of them permanently and quickly.

When the healers appear, shoot each of them 1 time. They will stop healing Jad and start attacking you. You must position yourself so that only 1 of them can hit you. This is easy, if you cannot figure it out you can't kill Jad anyways. Do not kill any of the healers, even if you only kill one it will come back anyways as they spawn independantly. After they are all occupied with 1 attacking you, start killing Jad again. If you do all this correctly you will kill him.

Okay thats the end it kinda turned into a guide as I kept writing it but yeah.

i got to the 360...cant get it killed

fightpit9ka.th.jpg

This is how far I got on my test run - notice that I took NO food, NO prayer pots, just range gear (crystal bow on 4\10) and full guthan. The spot I am standing is great for trapping the level 180's. As you can see I reached the first level 360 without using any kind of supplies at all (You can tell that's the last 180 by the colour of his skin.)

Note; I didn't even have to pray once.

I'm geared up to try defeat Jad later on tonight, that way I can be sure none of my family will kick me off the computer half way through.

Thanks for the video on page 7 of this topic, seeing the 702 stances in action has made me 10 times more prepared !

fightarenapic7hy.th.jpg

Well ... that's a wasted 2 hours. *sigh* I ran out of prayer pots and food on the last wave. I was so ready for the 702, I'm well annoyed I didn't get to face him. The picture is pretty cool though, looks like I'm trying to hug the healer, lol.

All the 180 safe spots are still there, don't know about 702 safe spot ... I still need to try and get a cape. :(

IF somebody can CONFIRM to me that he 702 safe spot is gone, i will remove it.
