  1. I must admit I find it a bit hypocritical how you guys react to Andrew not having much ties with Jagex anymore. He's mostly created the game from the ground up, dealt with the constant drama queening of this whiny community for years, and you're surprised that he feels like taking it easy with the money he rightfully made? You wouldn't have done the same thing, right?
  2. Anyone with an ounce of sense would do make a better statement of displeasure by voting with their feet, leave the game and play something else. That's a little more logical rather than "Jagex you're a bunch of losers and I complain about you endlessly....oh btw here's your monthly fee" :-s I like the game, just hate the fools that make it and I am sad at all the lost potential this game suffers from due to their stupidity. I like runescape but it would have been sooooooo much better if someone other then Jagex made it Your arguments don't make sense. If someone else than Jagex made Runescape, it wouldn't be Runescape as we know it... It wouldn't be Runescape at all, just some other random MMO. Like it or not, of all the MMOs out there, the one you play is Runescape, so bash them all you want, but the joke's on you, since you're playing their game, and not someone else's. Man, I swear every game forums I go to is full of people thinking others would make such or such game better than their current owner. If we could make electricity out of whining, game forums would provide enough power for humanity as a whole. Yes, Jagex made some unpopular moves, but considering how long the game has been running successfully, they certainly got a LOT of things right.
  3. To be fair, he did get his popularity by making movies in the past without actually gaining anything out of it, so I find it fair that he wins something now, even if it's not his best work.
  4. Actually, if you read old RSC lore Zamorak despises prayer and leaves it entirely to Saradomin. Of course, this does bring up the point of why there are altars to Zamorak, but in RSC Zamorak did say he hated prayers.
  5. Not to burst anyone's bubbles, but the bosses of GWD are ALL avatars already. The Armadyl boss even says "Graceful Avatar of Armadyl" or something similar.
  6. I don't know if anyone posted this, but there's a few Dragonkin skeletons laying on the floor of the bounty hunter arena. This arena is also said to be the place of the first murder... Coincidence? :) I don't know if this was posted already, I didn't really have time to check through all the previous posts, but if it wasn't I hope this helped your research :) Very nice work, by the way!
  7. Anyway, about my post, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have 61 summoning if I didn't like the concept, and it's certainly not because I like waterfiends lol... It's an awesome idea, and there's a lot of potential to it. But the familars in combat are hopelessly weak. Honestly, I value my pretty fast to get 40ish prayer for protect from melee, range and mage, protect item, and other very useful prayers, much, much more than my high 50s summon =/ Especially since achieving 50-60 takes many, many hours, while prayer can be obtained incredibly quickly with d bones and a guilded altar, for a similar/lesser price. I really hope they fix those and add more powerful familiars with the next patch. The highest report so far I had of summoning was addy minotaurs, and apparently it's pretty hopeless in combat for it's combat level lol. I also forgot to say one saving feature of the Smoke Devil and the Karamthulu Overlord, besides looking wicked, are their right-click ability (they use it on their own, trying to get it to work on your own is a pain before it makes you stop attacking, and I hit a lot higher than they do at 99 range) are nice since they're magic based and hit like a beefed up version of fire/water blast. Shame it has a long cooldown :(
  8. I always find it rather amusing when people say RSC was better, and RSC had better gameplay. Come on, being stuck 3 rounds in combat, and having to *walk* toward your target in order to catch him or her, as he's quickly walking away... And range and magic being green/blue dot, which barely did any damage. People want to play RSC out of old time's sake, and that's pretty much all it's worth now compared to RS2.
  9. Aren't they? In another thread you have been very critical of Jagex for getting the initial pricing on some items off market prices. Now, you are being critical of them for trying to adjust the prices to be closer to market prices. If you are going to be so critical about what a lot of people (me included) think is a great update, at least be consistent. The system self updates. Even if players keep selling at the lowest price which will lower the prices, they'll eventually be tired of getting the such low benefits, and will instead take the normal price, maybe even the higher. It's automatic, even if it'll take a bit, it'll eventually stabilize.
  10. RuneScape can be played without using a keyboard at all. And you log in how exactly? I somewhat fail to see the point of this thread There is an on-screen keyboard. On the same train of thought, you can use your keyboard as a mouse, so it's not really a valid point lol. Anyway, a game is not a matter of how you play it (hell, dance dance revolution playstyle is jumping on a special carpet), but how fun it is.
  11. I don't know where you find your numbers, but I'm in contact with several dozens persons through clans, friends, and pk groups, and I don't know of a single one quitting because the update. Besides, for every "controversial" update made, ten good ones like GWD and the like are made lol...
  12. Like most people here I try to do half half, either my world your place or the opposite, depending on the situation. If I'm just doing a service and don't get anything out of it, I ask for my world my place, if I'm the one receiving it, I go meet the person myself.
  13. I mine my own mith and coal, superheat item it, smith it on the spot (high level wildy mine), high alch it, rince and repeat. It's slow and not rather slow money, but it does the trick pretty well :)
  14. What's the difference between a 88 fishing who gets the shark at the speed of 99 (but the 99 can't do anything else), or both the 88 AND the 99 fishing? I don't see a problem here, besides the whole xp bug.
  15. Fake, fake and more fake :P It's been over every forums already :P
  16. The assistance system doesn't do anything more than reduce scamming, as everything is done could be done previously with the trade system. As for Loot share, it's just useful, not childish lol.
  17. If the original providers increase the prices too much the buyers won't even bother to buy, and thus the price will again end up lowering. Merchants have no place in the circle, they're just leeches. Oh, and to the poster above. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure I'm smart enough to merchant, I'd just rather work on my skills, even when making less money through it, and not feel like I just ripped someone.
  18. For merchants to actually make money they need to sell at a profit... And the player that ends up buying the item from the merchant could have saved a fair amount of money by buying straight from the person the merchant got the item out of. That's what I hate of merchants, they increase the cost of everything.
  19. That rule is there for simple balance purpose. Imagine an average level 90 gets a party hat from a death drop, and sells it to get a fury, whip (mind you, he probably had that one already), dragon boots, barrow melee armor, maybe the supplies for a fire cape, etc... Now he goes into cwar and find an average level 90, with full rune, whip or d scim, rune boots, and glory etc... Now, think who the winner of the fight will be, I put my money on the rich level 90, personally. Did he win because of insane skills? Nope, just because he got very easy money off the ground... It's luck, so nothing can be done against it, but when you drop trade, you go against the normal order of things.
  20. You know, we do see a dragonkin in the Tail of Two Cats quest, and it doesn't look like that... at all. And it's not a Dragon, as they don't have arms.
  21. KBD is still a lot stronger, it's just that people team kbd... If people could team mith drags, they'd be a lot easier than KBD.
  22. Some people forgot that you can kill 5-6 mith drags per trip, but at 99 range I have a hard time killing more than two kbds per trip... Kbd is still the strongest, it's just that can team the kbd.
  23. Yep, well, Ta Quir Priw is the grand tree, and Glough is, well, Glough... So is there a link between Mith drags and Glough? O.o
  24. KBD has a lot more than 200 hp, vengeance is what, a 30% recoil? Whoever did this with vengeance must have over nearly 1k health points, not to mention that KBD himself cannot hit 1k lol... So nope, it can't be vengeance. But this smells fishy lol Edit : Without more details I really can't say what happened, but I've never heard anywhere of a bug like that.
  25. Onyx bolts aren't really anything powerful... I only had about 30 shots worth, but max I've had with them at 99 range, potted to 112, and praying, was 38. Of course, it's very possible you can hit higher, as I said I only did 30 shots. That 38 max hit is even with the special triggered (it triggered about once every 5-6 shots), and the max healing I've received is 8. Overall, I much prefer dragonstone bolts. Or, even better, d arrows with dark bow special. I know at least when I'm going to hit hard lol.
