Hunt3rz
This quest is one of the worst quests i have ever experienced because of one stupid thing! The agility obstacle to insert the blue crystal. Is it normal to fail it 52 TIMES?! :wall: It's actually making me want to give up on the quest. So yeah if you've completed this quest could you let me know if its normal to fail this obstacle this may times in a row. Many Thanks :)
funnisam
It isn't normal to fail that many times, but it's based on luck, so you may just be unlucky. Theoretically you could fail it every time and never complete the quest, the odds of that though are very low. Me_Hate_Libs
ah thankyou very much, i just passed it after the 58th try and i have just completed mournings ends part 2 :D Very happy :) I did the quest 3 days after it was released and with no guide because Jagex asked the sites to not make a guide. THAT was hard. :P This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd.
Gin_and_Tonic
This is similar to the Chest for Desert Treasure. I got it open on the first try with 53 thieving, but on my old account i had to use over 80 picks with 88 thieving. I even got 87-88 thieving from stealing them from the bandits. Nice to hear you completed it though :D

Saunamajuri
1st time passed on 2nd attempt  "An Amateur practices until he can get it right. A Professional practices until he can't get it wrong." Quests just keep bringing me back to this game.
JoeDaStudd
I tried about 20 times then thought hey why not try using summer pies, first attempt after and bam I was across. What annoyed me was the mirrors, how does a vertical mirror divert the light down?Took me so long to figure it out.Logic would dictate ------->[|] makes the light go back to sourceand ------->[\] makes the light go down But no it does want to work like that. Annoying quest but WGS was more then worth it. Kalafai
they say they've fixxed the mirrors to show if they are up or down, but I aint pullin the levar to find out. I assume there might have been more ease in trial and error the first few weeks as there would have been people there smashing the shadows seeing if they'd drop anything, or just getting them out of the way. Me_Hate_Libs
Certain quests are renown for their one parts that have a stupid level of failure rate. i.e. The bridge in Olaf's quest and the chest in Desert Treasure. This is the only one where that level runs through the entire quest. It is quite irritating. This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd. Demoli
I remember when i did that part.. Round 1: failed 37 times, gave it up for 7monthsRound 2: passed at the 7th time (i had leveled 10 lvs of agility since) "yay finally i passed it!" i though, then i kept doing the quest, and when i had to direct one of the 3 beams, i started thinking how could i place the blue crystal in a part that it couldnt alter the course... Then i checked my handdrawned maps and i saw it... i nearly cried. Just hope in MEP3 SPOILER! we dont have to redirect many beams of light (diferent colours have different sound, crystal seeds grow by singing to them) through an entire city. Mh1456
That quest took me about 4 hours WITH a guide lol..very painful quest, almost gave up. I did it just last week, it may not be the longest quest but i think its the hardest to complete.
