Before I get to the opening of any golden envelopes, allow me to go misty eyed for a moment while I reminisce...

 

 

 

Tehnoobshow helped us in launching this competition on our YouTube channel. It wasnt long before it became clear that August would involve a lot of pizza, popcorn, salami, beer, buffering and general YouTubery.

 

 

 

I can honestly say that I witnessed pure player genius. We laughed so hard we cried (sometimes, I just cried), but, all things told, we were blown away by both the quality and quantity of player videos, which left the judges with the very difficult task of trying to shortlist the submissions. Their mission was to choose their favourite five videos to go into a player polls. They really struggled to reduce the list to six finalists, given the awesome list of videos that were submitted.

 

 

 

The poll has now closed, the judges are hopefully speaking to each other again, and we now know who our grand prize winner and runners-up are. Ladies and gentlemen (and trolls): the winner of the RuneScape machinima competition is...Excl!

 

 

 

Congratulations to Excl, whose video really captured the trauma that so many video makers went through during this competition. Excl wins some signed Jagex goodies, a lifetime RuneScape membership, and an all-expenses-paid trip to Jagex Games Studios! So, pack your bags and dig out your passport, Excl youre coming to visit us!

 

 

 

That leaves Arrow gun 99, Bumbum007, Jinsr44, KKcomics and MommaKitty as runners-up. They each win signed Jagex goodies and a lifetime RuneScape membership, so a big congratulations to them too!

Lifetime memberSHIP?? Sounds like they're hinting at something. Tricky Jagex- their recent Q&A was just a ploy to get people to stop guessing.

Not sure, who invites is the thing we'll just wait and see it's nice they're getting closer to the players this year though which most developers don't so yay for Jagex.

Probably "30 days remaining" in the beginning, then counting down to 3 and restarting to 30 endlessly.

Interesting. Well done to Excl. I think this is more of a reward for creating so many good videos and getting that huge following. I didn't think his video was the best out of the ones submitted, however to win he must've done something right on his other videos so well done!

I talked briefly with Mod MMG, and he said unfortunately I wouldn't be able to film inside their studios. I'm trying to see if I can film inside the bathroom or storage closet or something. :mrgreen:

 

 

 

I don't even know if I can make it to the planned celebration with the other players (it was kind of short notice for me), but that sounds like one big party!

 

 

 

I'll try to make a video of some sort about the trip and explaining what I can. Or at LEAST lampooning it. ;)

 

 

 

Also, rumor has it that the lifetime membership has "4000 days remaining" on the account. I haven't been able to log in yet to verify.
