Intermagma
Anyway, when I am in the tipit clan chat, EVERYONE says that slayer is the best way to make money, beating green dragons. My slayer level is like 30ish. I have slain a lot now, and I havn't gotten anything thats worth over 5k. Is there a certain monster I need to kill, or something I need to do? Saru Inc
Well, in a sense, wealth is correlated to Slayer level. In other words, while you could get a good clue drop, most Slayers make money off of regular drops from slayer monsters. Including (but not limited to) Dragon Boots, 83 Slay, fairly common I assume, Granite Mauls 75 Slayer, fairly common as well, Abyssal Whips 85 Slay, pretty rare, and Dark Bows 90 Slay, pretty rare. Now I may be off as I only have 79 slayer, but I as well have not made much money off of it. And remember, Slayer is based on luck, if you're planning to make money that is. And slayer is overrated. =\ Too many crap tasks in my opinion. I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. Dax
Slayer makes alot of money at higher levels, not just 83/85, but between your leavel and those. Almost all Slayer monsters have a rea drop in their table from 55 or so and up. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod

langer
You should make money with slayer. It's not the best way to make money, but if you get tasks from zanaris and up, slayer should be profitable. Seeing as you haven't unlocked some mid level slayer monster, it's no wonder you find slayer to be not profitable as your slayer master probably gives you normal monsters to fight (which should still give youa profit). The only way to not make money via slayer is to powerlevel it with pray pots, cannon and not pick up drops. Mylez
I noticed profit from around 45-50 Slayer. Doing clue scrolls helps a lot :)

Toad
The best money is at the higher levels yes, and it can come from unexpected tasks such as dragons wyverns etc.

muggiwhplar
Slayer makes decent money but it's still a waste of time unless you plan on maxing out eventually IMO. Jagex already stated that there won't be any 90+ slayer monsters any time soon too. It's kinda fun to train till you realize that the "variety" is only limited to about a dozen different tasks... and often you'll only get to alternate between about five of them :\

Bauke
Indeed, the best money comes when you can slay monsters that drop valuable stuff. But nevertheless, it will never beat green dragons or w/e. If you're in it for the money, don't train it. Train it because you like the skill, and could use a bit of cash while at it. transcript80
It's all the small drops that add up. I have 120k+ fire runes alone from slayer so far, including the ones I used. There are very little skills that make profit at level 30, and slayer is profitable as well. Sure, not much, there are better ways to make money, but you should not lose money on it. As for the best money maker: do something else. Green dragons for example, or tanning hides, or collection herblore seconds. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... Bollocks. I'm at 72 now and I've still yet to get a decent drop besides a Rune Full Helm. But It does make money, make no mistake. until you get to 85+ where all the good drops are most you'll get are just strings of 25k items within tasks which isn't THAT bad, but personally dont compensate enough. @transcript80, hurry up and get 1 more con level for 70+ all. Popoto.~<
