They care enough to keep us playing, but not enough to keep most people happy.

They changed extreme pots. And that was in like, a day.

Do what I did. Make your opinion known with your money. I didn't like the updates, so I stopped paying for them. Granted me alone won't make a difference, but if everyone who complained about not liking where they are taking the game did that and actually have the testicular fortitude to give up members, then we might see some changes.

You know why Jagex doesn't care about most players' opinions? Because those opinions are idiotic, shallow and ridiculous.

 

At least 30-40% of threads are about the anti-RWT updates and how they ruined RuneScape. Jagex has already stated clearly that RuneScape will NEVER be returning to the old state before the anti-RWT updates.

 

Maybe another 20% of threads are completely idiotic and clearly a waste of Jagex's time. This includes trivial issues, pointless crap and such.

The customers might be Jagex's top priority, but if they suggest idiotic updates that will ruin the rest of the majority of the players' time, why the hell should Jagex listen to them? Don't say "many players want the wilderness back" or whatever. Jagex also has to keep the game running, not shut down due to banks banning their customers from using credit cards to buy RS membership.

People who complain about updates are just like spoiled kids who complain not getting something. Seriously guys, Jagex has their reasons. Quelmotz is right - Jagex cannot purely rely on player opinion. They have to also think about what is best for the game. PKers are the prime example of these spoiled players, and even now they are still trying (looking at you xmisspker).

I agree with all those points. THe problem is that we all sit here and think we know how to solve an issue, but we only look at what is good for us, not for the game on a larger scale. Besides Jagex are only human, at least i hope so!

And the reason why exreme pots were taken out of pvp was because they weren't listening to players? Hate the loud minority that are the pure pkers.

 

edit- One of the reasons why it seems like they don't listen to the majority is that the majority hardly ever go onto the forums. And it is mostly when an update that a person likes gets removed that people go to them. Because of that jagex doesn't get as many topics that praise updates.

See, why would they even bother about caring if the player count just keeps rising, but of course they take it into a count, they would be silly not to. Most of the time they make these choices for 'the good of the game', for them its a lose-lose situation. No matter what they do/change/alter, there will always be a group of people who complain about it.

You see, if you were annoyed enough you would quit. But you don't few do. We keep coming back for more. JaGeX knows this. Change keeps this game alive. Personally, I can't see any updates that have ruined the way I play.

Face it the OP is just one of those people who like complaining about things when nothing is wrong.
