They won't have to battle age/fatigue as much as they would with a full season giving them a better shot at winning it all.

December 7, 201114 yr What I do not understand is if the players were going to settle for a 50-50 split, why did they file an anti trust law suit and drag this affair longer than it needed to be? If they were going to give up so much why not do it at the start of the season? This whole thing was such a botched job by the union, first say you are willing to go all the way, then when reality gets to you... You put your arms down and fold...Admittedly I was not taking sides as I wanted both sides to crash and burn. But I would have liked to see David Stern on his knees but that never happened...

He just caved to the owners talk.The Hornets are in a unique position in the league, seeing that they are the only time that is directly owned by the NBA, all other teams have their own owners (MLSE for Raptors, Sterling for Clippers, etc.). Looking at it this way, Stern is technically the owner of the Hornets, so he gets to have the final say on team matters. This should be fixed once the NBA finds a suitable owner for the Hornets willing to keep the team in NO.

December 11, 201114 yr Author Well since the league took ownership of he Hornets last season, they want to keep/ make the hornets look the most appealing to potential buyers. Doesn't really matter now though, Lakers gave up on the trade and are going to focus on getting Dwight Howard and if you guys haven't seen already the Lakers have traded Lamar Odom to the Mavs.
December 16, 201114 yr Author Chris Paul is now a Clipper. This is the first day since moving to Los Angeles in August that I've seen people rocking Clipper's apparel. All of it was very fresh and new looking as if they rarely worn them outside their homes.

I'm curious to see at the end of year, how many starters don't obtain some sort of injury over the course of the season that doesn't take out of a game or more. I feel like everyone is getting injured.
