December 6, 200916 yr It's debatable, in my opinion, that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas should be the best rated GTA game, but JESUS why did they put GTA: IV above San Andreas? That game was absolute garbage and a sacrilege to the GTA series. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."

December 8, 200916 yr Deus Ex at 48 -.-check this out I never actually really liked Dues Ex, or got into it for that matter. I realised it was a good game, I just never, ever got into it.
December 9, 200916 yr I too am somewhat confused as to how they are ranking these.Probably just by how much fun they remembered having... But...I can think of a few different games that I've played that brought something new to the table, that aren't on the list:Doom 3 - Not the best FPS ever but wasn't it the first to have super awesome graphics (which have of course been rendered obsolete)?Dead Space - Best survival horror ever? Then again, I haven't played Silent Hill, and only Resident Evil 5 of the Resident Evil series. It just left a lasting impression is all.FEAR - The whole organized enemies deal.Quake III Arena - Lots of customization/support for customization.House of the Dead - Semi-popularized lightguns.
December 9, 200916 yr Ms. Pac-man is way different than Pac-man. In Ms.Pac-Man the stages would change instead of just being the same stage with faster ghost. Wongton is better than me in anyway~~

FEAR? Doom 3? Those two shouldn't be anywhere near a top 200 list of any kind. Saying that Doom 3 was the first to have "awesome graphics" is stupid. It didn't revolutionize anything, even graphically speaking. Plus how it looked aside the game was just boring.

Review the bolded part.I put the reasons. And I may have used the term "awesome graphics" for Doom 3 but there was something specific that they had that hadn't been used anytime before then, I just can't remember the technical name.FEAR, like I said, is the only game I know of aside from its own sequels to have enemies that actually seem to coordinate their attacks.
December 12, 200916 yr I'm glad to see that VALVe practically owns that whole list. I'm just glad to see Ricochet is not on there. :P No Jet Force Gemini? That game had amazing music and boss fights and great multiplayer.I know that I'll be flamed for this, but where is Runescape? That game has done some amazing things.I also missed Rouge Leader on that list.Where's Tales of Phantasia? The game that showed that great JRPGs don't have to be turn based.Where's Fire Emblem? No Space Invaders? Eff them.Decent? No Star Craft? These guys don't have a PC. Okay this list is wrong in so many ways. I could go on but then I'd just be making my own list no one cares about.
December 12, 200916 yr I know that I'll be flamed for this, but where is Runescape? That game has done some amazing things. Really? Runescape is not a good game, even considering it's convenience of "playing anywhere". Putting it on a top 200 list would be ridiculous.

Runescape is not a good game, even considering it's convenience of "playing anywhere". Putting it on a top 200 list would be ridiculous. It was ground breaking back when it came out. Its also very old. Isn't it the longest running MMO there is?

Runescape: Release Date 2001 [source]Neverwinter Nights: Release Date 1991 [source] Note that NWN is not the first MMO, just the first graphical MMO. There were MUDs before it but I'll just ignore them. It's not "ground breaking" in any sense either. The only thing Runescape has is that it was one of the first MMOs to be playable only through a web browser (I'm not entirely sure on this one, I can't remember if Tibia was ever a browser game and it was released in '97) which, like I said before, gave it the whole convenience thing. Still the game just was never a great game (Even though I admit to playing it back in '02 or so and enjoying it). The only reason I even played it in the first place is at the time my parents didn't want to pay for Ultima Online, especially because this was back in '01 and '02 where a lot of people still had dial up and broadband was just starting to come around. As far as longest running goes (may have misread your post but keeping that stuff there just in case) but there are other MMOs that have lasted longer. Ultima Online: '97- Present day [source]Everquest: '99 - Present day [source] ect.
December 13, 200916 yr Runescape does not belong on a top 200 games list. It would barely belong on a top 500 games list. I would have liked to have seen Fire Emblem somewhere on that list, though. Probably close to Advance Wars.

February 17, 201016 yr ([Huge quote chain]) It's kind of funny you're on a Runescape fansite forum. Well, most of us don't play that silly MMO anymore anyway. And besides, some of us just use the General boards now instead of the Runescape boards. Some play a different MMO(World of Warcraft, for instance), or don't play one at all anymore(me). If anything, Runescape's only redeeming quality is that it is MMO 101. It'll get you going on how MMOs work somewhat, but it's not a game that can be taken seriously. That being said, RS should not be on any top 10 or 200 or whatever. It's simply not a good game, it's a chore. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER.
