I'm just wondering how everyone else gets bananas to make fruit bats with, I need about 2k but they aren't buying on the grand exchange. What is your banana tips for me.

I'd say glory teleports or just buy in that gnome food shop

Obtaining bananas

 

Players can find bananas on trees in tropical locations, such as Karamja. Many banana trees are located in the plantation on Musa Point, and one of the easy tasks in the Karamja achievement diary requires players to pick five bananas from the plantation[3]. Bananas are available on Ape Atoll, in the yard at the western house of the monkey child and in the south-western crates in the warehouse east of the magic shop.

Members can harvest bananas from banana trees that they grow from a banana tree seed at level 33 Farming[4].

 

Players can buy bananas from the main stock of Charter ships and on the Grand Exchange.

 

Members can steal bananas from the monkey food stall on Ape Atoll, if they have at least level 5 Thieving[5].

 

Bananas can be created by casting the Bones to bananas spell, which turns all bones in the player's inventory into bananas. The spell requires a minimum Magic level of 15[6].

You could also buy baskets of banana's its more expensive but they should sell. And then youll get 5 per basket

Or try killing creatures that drop a few Nature Runes as well as Bones that are not too far from a bank...

All you need then is a Mudstaff (some 300k, which you can sell back) to convert the lot into bones (one cast for whole invent of bones to be turned into bananas)...

Do the bananas on the karamja trees even respawn?

 

I have about 2-3k stashed from planting banana trees :unsure: I guess they actually do have a use lol

Yes, they respawn, and the place is FULL of bananas. I would recommend using a Glory to Karamja, picking bananas, and using a duel ring to bank at cwars. The bananas don't respawn at a very fast rate, but it doesn't matter because there are SO MANY bananas to pick.

I remember doing the quest back in RSC and not seeing bananas respawning on the trees. So I just ended buying bananas and giving them to the guy because I liked seeing them on the trees. I was 8 :rolleyes:

I get my bananas from casting fruitfall. Probably not the fastest way to get them, but has ~650k profit, so =p

Karajama, bones to banana's, or GE, is all i can think of sorry

I put offers in for a few k of baskets banana and normal banana's. Took a few days, but I had 2k's worth of them in the end.

Last time I did it I took a tortoise full of empty baskets and an inventory full of baskets, with 5 empty spots. But I actually wanted basket-ed bananas, since I was making them into scrolls anyway.
