Chaos Dwarf Battlefeild

Dedicated to Pinney6k cause hes a noob

Requirements:

Forgiveness of a chaos dwarf (quest)

at least 40 pray MUST HAVE

high combat levels help

How to get there:

Teleport Camelot, or use fairy ring DKS

howt.png

Enter the dungeon, strait across and talk to cross the river and enter the secret passage from the quest.

The Setup:

gear1.pnggear2.png

Setup

Weapon - SS or GS > whip > Dragon Scimitar

Shield - Falador Diary Reward Shield > rune defender or Prayer book

Helmet - Helm of Neitiznot > Proselyte Helmet

Cape - Skillcape > Godcape > Firecape

Amulet - Fury > Glory or Prayer amulet

Arrows - None unless range (i never range so dono setup)

Plate - Bandos > Verac's Brassard > High def armor or Proselyte

Legs - Bandos > Verac's Skirt > High def armor or Proselyte

Gloves - Barrows > Dragon > other

Boots - Dragon > Rune > climbing

Ring - Wealth or Other

The idea is to have decent prayer boost, and keep defensive values for when the monsters are non agressive.

Inventory

inv1.png

This is my personal preference because of the high number of bones available and low damage numbers.

Super set can be used as well... but i see it as a waste the monsters are easy.

Sharks and other foods work as well... but in my experience this is the best because its virtually endless. (20 bones to peaches tablets, average of 20 peaches per tablet = 400 x 8hp ea = 3200 healed)

Setup #2

setup3c.png

The setup is roughly the same, however Guthan's replaces the food used.

The start:

TURN ON RANGE PRAYER AND KEEP IT UP.

Run and line up the dwarves so one or two attack instead of a mob... then kill for 20 minutes.

line.png

After the aggression ends:

attackp.png

The dwarves and black guard will no longer attack you, so you can turn off prayer, and kill the ones in combat.

There are two main ways to kill these monsters

Stick to cannoneers:

This will yeild hand cannons (currently about 270k in value) and 100 shots (about 160gp ea) and runes/charms. The loot is usually 500-1m per run.

Kill Dwogres:

This will yeild herb seeds (ranarr are fairly common) but no cannons or shots.

ALL Chaos dwarves, Cannoneers, and Dwogres in this area drop DRAGON PICK (some say Dwogres drop more often and chaos dwarves less often compaired to cannoneers)

I mix it up... killing anything in combat

Average Loot:

lootz.png

731k is from selling 3 hand cannons mid price (easily sold max atm... 500k with junk if you care to buy junk and make like 10k more <3)

that load i used

2 four dose prayer pots 30000gp

4 Bones to peaches tablets 6000gp

1.5 combat potions 1000gp

_________________________________

37k

I was rewarded:

3 hand cannons sold for 731k

800 cannon shots sold 140k

Runes 11.4k

_________________________________

884k

Profit:

884k - 37k = 847k

And 100k+ Exp <3

This is a guide for beginners, feel free to change it anyway you need.

P.S. Post range/mage setup and I'll add it to the guide W/credits

Setup

Weapon - SS or GS > whip > Dragon Scimitar

Helmet - Helm of Neitiznot > Proselyte Helmet

Amulet - Fury > Glory or Prayer amulet

Weapon- SS or GS? SS = whip not gs. I'd actually go with this as the setup for weapon: GS>Whip>SS>Dragon scimitar. Whip>SS because whip has the shield spot.

Helmet- Helm of Neitiznot>Verac helmet>Proselyte helmet

Amulet- Forgot to mention stoles. Fury>Glory>Stole>Prayer amulet

Good guide other then that though. I think this is the first guide out there for this.

Rune Defender >>> Falador Shield 3 > Unholy Book.

Very nice guide! I was always scared of going down there just incase I wasn't prepared but now I'm gonna go farm myself some Dragon picks ^^

By the way, have you had any picks drop?

no picks drops, I only play rs in spare time and I only do this lol

but in about 30 hours there I've gotten about 30 cannons and 5000 shots and alot of runes :P (I only pick up laws and airs for teleports but nats and cosmics drop aswell)

so average 1 cannon an hour 250k average sales thats 7.5m spent about 3m on pots and I've gotten one and a half strength levels. Not bad for spare time :P

P.S. I choose SS because its FAST STRENGTH EXP. However, if you need def/att exp go whip.

(I used BGS and it wasn't as good as SS for exp or hits)

So my weapon setup is based on my preference and what I have available lol and I'm training strength so SS it is X3

You spelled the title of your guide wrong. In no way is that pointless -- not correcting it is pointless and only makes you look bad.

As for the guide itself, it seems pretty good but also very basic -- are there no special tactics needed at all?

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

and its a typo, has no positive or negative impact on the guide

I'm not going to read a book with a typo in the title -- people are less likely to read a guide with a typo in the name. Just fix the damn thing -- that'll make it look much better.

I agree, if you're going to make a guide you're going to have to accept when you get corrected for grammar and spelling in the guide and fix it.

I was just posting when the boards died a few days ago, anyway I saved my post so here it is.

A few notes.

  •
  • The GE train is a nicer way to travel.
  • Ranging them is pretty fun
  • Familiars rock there
  • Do not attack any of the black guard - they are annoying as hell and you don't want everyone on you

Personally I use a mixture of methods depending on my mood.

chaos_dwarf_battlefield.png

^Don't step outside the red box as they can become aggressive again.

The gold box is the best place to be if ranging or random killing as there are always npcs in combat.

If your taking a familiar its best to either solely use a healing familiar or only use a combat familiar at the start when there aggressive otherwise there a waste (they will change the aggression to you or won't bother attacking).

Don't quote me on it but sometimes the black guard will attack you from the off if you wear zammy gear (happened a few times before to me but its very random).

Best familiars are (IMO)

Unicorn>Bunyip>Titan>Fruit bat

Titan is nice if your killing dworges otherwise it costs too much to heal the same as bunyip. Fruitbat requires inventory space which soon gets filled up on the battlefield.

For range I just use void with knives (they hit quicker making sure you get the drop) and a decent defensive shield.

[hide=Drops]

  • Dragon Axe x11
    Berserker Ring x9
    Warrior Ring x8
    Seercull
    Dragon Med
Dragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kc
    Godsword Shard (bandos)
    Granite Maul x 3

Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats]

I would argue that you're better off with a combat familiar here instead of a healing familiar. Even t hough titans more expensive, I think in this case Titan > Uni

Yeah, I'd definitely use the GE train...why would you teleport to Camelot with a mine cart right there, right? It's like, "I need to go to Varrock. I know! I'll use Falador teleport, that'll put me close!" :shame:

No it isn't.

The fastest way to get quick loot is to do 1 or more damage, letting the black guard either finish off or tank the hits. If you have a combat familiar the moment it attacks the attention comes onto you. That means either a high hitting range attack or a mage/melee attack. Either way you'll take some damage which could have been avoided.

Its like taking a titan to bandos or sara sure its nice for healing, but you can easily end up taking more damage from its offensive side then the extra healing you get over a bunyip.

  • 3 months later...

I finally got there after a long time so that it's not populated and there is almost no more competition.

My goal is to get both hancanon and d pick.

i came with

Setup

Weapon - whip + claws for spec

Shield - DFS

Helmet - Helm of Neitiznot

Cape - Soul war cape

Amulet - Fury

Plate - Bandos

Legs - Bandos

Gloves - Barrows

Boots - Dragon

Ring - Wealth

I brougth a licorn + prayer potion + pure set

I was doing good with no prayer until i got canonned at high speed high hits (combo ?) down to almost die !

So take care !!!

I healed back slowly with range prayer on and kept it most of the time. I'd say to keep a healing non agressive familiar (Unicorn) to tank black dwaves who hits sometimes.

I still need to understand the unagressive limits and to tryout the Dwogres too after agressive is stopped.

Oh baby light the dark side...

  • 2 weeks later...

Did you know that when you enter nothing in the tunnel is agressive to you? As soon as you start hitting cannoneers then the dwarves are agressive.

thats why i like to enter and kill the dwogres only, then you don't have to pray ranged.

This guide got me to try going there and look at my first runs looot!

2dpic12.png

good guide but still needs i little help like useing a dragon chain is underkilll i mean you should have a barrows plate such as torag or dharrock for when they arnt agressing and a verac skirt for both (high pray bonus and defence stats)

also Whip > ss or gs if your going soley on killling potential (thought i use ss and gs mroe 96str going for 99)

and there is no need for guthans when b2p do just as well

all in all great guide id be happy to post a pic of my setup if you wanted it and the inventory i used

P.S i have gotten 4+ hand cannons since then and 1 d pick split with a freind

P.P.S That was my first run so i have changed my setup plenty since then
