abbydog95
I just beat the storyline today. I have 44/50 achievements and I'm going to get the last 6 tomorrow because they shouldn't be that hard. All I have left is the feathers one, the glyphs one, the auditore cape one and the 3 combat achievements. It hopefully shouldn't take more than an hour or two. I got almost all of them just by doing a little exploring on the side. It's such fun The Feather one is impossible though..... nerdboyxxx
I loved it. Great storyline, awesome new minigames, free-roam, and the missions were great. The newest counter-attacks look so damn sweet as well . Although a few minor annoyances (most of them are because I am hopeless at controlling Ezio when he is running across the rooftops and have to make a big leap) the game delivered far more than I ever expected. Still, the original Assassins creed will remain a favourite of mine :P. Funnily enough, the game actually makes the assassins look like good guys in the story; the truth was, Assassins during the Crusades against the Holy Land (think Richard the Lionheart and the Lepper King) killed targets of high authority such as nobles, politicians, and military leaders. They made many attempts on Saladin's life, and he eventually payed them off so they would leave him alone. The Templars DID make it their business to dismantle the Assassins during the Crusades, that much is true. The Assassins finally realised, after many attempts to take out their chain of commands, that another Templar would simply take his place, more zealous and pissed off than the last in his position . The Templars in the game are attempting to control the world, or at least gain control over certain areas of importance. Of course, their main objective lies in finding the pieces of Eden, and that is all fictitious and creates an interesting story to base the game around. The truth was that the Assassins were trying to take control over the kingdom of Saladin, which spanned a large area of the present middle-east. The assassins main goal was to gain control for the Imam, the leader of the assassins order. So, in reality, they were medieval terrorists, striking with fear and surprise then slinking back into the shadows, and perfectly prepared to offer their lives for the sake of a mission. The game pretty much turned all the facts upside down and added their own little additions . Just thought that some of you might find that interesting. SirHartlar
I finished the storyline and unlocked all 20 pieces of the video, I have to say the storyline far surpassed what I thought it might when I bought the game (I never played the first game). Giordano
I like the idea of this game, but I felt it was too much walking from point to point and the killings too short. Bam bam, killed your target and six guards. Safe, nothing happens. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." Lol yes it always bothered me how nice Ezio was. Assassins creed 2 was bloody awesome except for the fact that the game designers fell for the fatal trap of softening up the hero in the sequel. Sometimes I just wanted to kill my fellow assassin friends because half the cutscenes were just us talking together and smiling. Yuck. I liked Altiar's rebellious personality. At least he showed people who was boss. Ezio is a [kitty] compared to him. PS: What was up with that cutscene midgame where Desmond dreams about being Altiar and making out with that girl??? By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( . The long distances only became worse when the game went on, though I still believe it was worth the money. Zilla
This game was a lot better then what I had myself originally anticipated. The lightning, the texture, the gameplay, everything just seems very nice to me. Let's hope the 3rd one is even better. 47/50 achievements also, and doesn't using Eagle Vision allow you to see feathers easier?

I think the idea was that he did more than make ou with her . Apparently, this is where Desmonds lineage comes from, or the very foundations of his assassin heritage. I don't think it plays a bigger part than that, but we'll just have to see :P. And you're right about Ezio. I can understand in the beginning of the game (he had that type of personality, a ladies boy :P) but later on you'd expect him to get more hard-[wagon]. He kinda does, but he's still way too nice for me. As well as all his friends. Hopefully AC3 will have a more hard-[wagon] hero.

HOSTiLE_KAi
Ac2 is a great game, it's got much more game play content that will take over 40 hours. I find that the water crypt, the church one, some races were the most challenging min games. There is an impossible assassination contact (or contract) in Venice, 3 minutes killing 3 targets. The only thing I dislike is having it in Ps3 version, the texture, lighting and shadows are really inferior compare to 360. But overall for a price of $39.99 Canadian during the sale, it's worth every cent. sarg1010
I must say, I'm disappointed by the new DLC. While it was fun to fight a whole bunch of people at once with a bunch of friendlies, it was pretty short. Sure you get to kill two more people, and save some people (again), but it only took an hour... with a pretty bad cliffhanger for the 2nd DLC -.- DON'T GO DOWN THAT BAD ROAD, UBISOFT! Unfinished netherrack symbol of Khorne. Never forget. ~creeper face w/single tear~ DO YOU HEAR THE VOICES TOO?!?!
Shyla
Meh I was so excited to get this, not going to get this anymore. Downloading's going to take like almost 2 hours but I'll only be playing through the dlc in like 45 minutes. I'll just buy a full game in psn. 1_man_army
I only got the game because of the setting and the fact that it contains a few historical characters that I'm interested in (Rodrigo Borgia, and Lorenzo de Medici particularly) but I'm really glad I bought it. They game really captured early renaissance Italy brilliantly and the story was relatively intriguing. The Battle for Forli was a little disapointing because of it's length but I'm looking forward to interacting with Savonarola because he's another fascinating character. It made me want to visit Florence even more. [hide=Kind of a spoiler]I have a book about the Medici and from my reading I always thought Lorenzo was attacked inside the cathedral but in the game it appears outside. It would have been oh so more dramatic and stylish if it had been inside the cathedral with all of the comotion and panic. To be fair though, that is my only tiny gripe about the game and it's probably a gripe that is shared by nobody else. If anyone cares the book is 'Medici: Godfathers of the Renaissance' by Paul Strathern.)[/hide] He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)

Or is it just "fight this mob of guards!"? All of those people would have made it hell to try and catch the person. Or, if a fighting mission, the civilians would have just gotten in the way, and probably gotten you killed (since you lose health when you kill civvies right?) Unfinished netherrack symbol of Khorne. 1_man_army
In the game, the attack occurs outside the cathedral and you have to fight off the attackers and escort Lorenzo home (you have to kill a few more attackers along the way if I remember correctly). In reality the attack occured inside the cathedral, during high mass and Lorenzo's brother bled to death on the cathedral floor. The image I had of the conspiracy just seemed much more dramatic than in the game. SeanCalibur
I recently bought a PS3 and this is one the games i got with it. I love it so much! the size of the areas you can explore at free will is just amazing and all the free running just makes it so much fun :PI must admit it did take a while to get used to the controls but now that I'm used to them I'm enjoying it to it's full potential and I'm nearly half way through the game. I'm really getting into the story involving Ezio :P But one problem for me is that I was put off from buying the first game because I played a small section of it ages ago and it seemed horribly repetitive and it had too long cut scenes. So could anyone please explain to me the main key points of the story in the first game so this game makes a little but more sense to me XD
