About 1 in 200 to 1 in 250

That is good drop rate. But question is if my connection will allow me to take advantage of that.

Thanks

Wow... that good? I never knew. So how many kills do you manage an hour at your levels?

When I had only super sets and 91 range I got around 16ish kills per hour. Went last night with higher range and overloads, was managing around 20 to 22 kills per hour. Maybe I just got lucky, but I noticed that I was killing quite a bit faster. Too bad I'm at least 300ish dry there :( 255 logged and a few random trips.

That sounds like almost 3mill/hr, if I'm doing the math right...

Looks like I should be getting my range up!

Provided:

You have 99 Attack/Strength/Ranged

You have 96 Herblore

You have 88 Summoning

You will not get 20 kills an hour without these.

I get 15 - 17 kills a hour with 96 range, 84 attack 78 strength and 79 summoning without eagle/piety.

I find TD's really boring though so I never really stay longer then a hour.

Just a warning, the 1 in 200 drop rate can be deceptive. Sure it might even out to that in the long run, but expect to have hugely insane dry streaks at some point. Currently 1k+ kills with 3 ruined pieces, a dragonstone, and a D med. Not fun.

i am rather highly doubtful of a 1-200 drop rate. I think 1-300 to 1-350 would be closer.

It could be your very first kill, or it could be 5,000 kills before your first drop. It's 100% luck but there is a basis for this. It does not mean you are GUARANTEED 1 for every 250 you kill. Sure theres a good chance but it all comes down to luck.

Someone always has to post this on every single drop rate thread. YES. WE KNOW it can be anywhere from 1-5000 kills, he's asking about a general drop rate on average. No one thinks that on their 250th kill they will automatically get dragon claws.

Lol I always see these posts too. Pretty annoying since we all get it, but always there.

The 1/200 drop rate is fairly accurate. Shards are also about twice as rare as Claws (so don't take a ring of wealth). I've been in a lot of massacres, and they all kill TD's about one every 30 seconds. The claw drop rate is usually one every 2 hours or so. If you have extremes, GS, 95+ stats, and rune c'bow, you'll be hitting 20 kills/hour easy. I can get over 25/hour easily with pretty nooby gear, but that's because I switch like a beast. :D Other than that, they're very easy to kill, banking is a breeze, and you can make 4M/hour quite easily.

No. That is not how ROW works. It doesn't changed WHAT rare drop you get, but rather whether or not you get a rare drop at all.

Actually...no...well...kinda...

The chance of getting the "magic number" that puts the drops in the second wheel with the rare drops never changes, all the ring of wealth does is increase the likelihood of a rare drop being chosen in the second wheel. In practice I think I hear it increases drop rates anywhere from 1-5%, but rare drops are a tricky thing to figure out especially since we still don't know what constitutes a "rare drop." There's a guide in the AoW here that goes further in depth.

Not really anything I can say on topic, I've never been to TD's, but good luck anyways :D .

I can't be bothered to find exactly where, but Jagex recently said that they will make a diary explaining exactly how the Ring of Wealth works. So keep your eyes and ears open!
