The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)

Featured Replies

Except I only control Abbysinia...in an indirect sort of way...so I can't say 'Africa unites against me' even if I was so inclined.

Anyway bit of diplomacy there...Ask for the max and get given something...rather than ask for something and get given nothing. Anyway 10,000 tanks, and the T34 is still used in many African states, as well as the 15th largest population in the world, and a vast airfleet, with bombs and Anti-Radar systems.

Anyway, given the fact that has just become a first world country, and crushed the countries directly around it and had the other countries join because of prosperity(Since Africa is covered in Trading Zones it basically works out at the same as Japan's Pacific expansion.)...

Oh, and I had included the gold mines to start with, then discovered that there were a lot of far more useful minerals to export in its place....But you are gonna have to renegotiate(in terms of the game, in real life nothing changes) the terms of the agreement with Abyssina.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Arch, I'm working with the DRC, so you want to leave that alone? And I don't know what's going on with that empire (Abyssinia?), but its economy is probably failing terribly right now - you can't simply acquire so many poor countries in such a short time without having extreme poverty and whatnot. Hence my slow expansion - I could easily steamroll through basically the rest of Africa, but it would leave me in such a bad shape that it would take like 200 years to get somewhere.

Hence why it has a 200 tonne of Gold loan(Payable in goods and services rather than Gold...since Dusty has annexed the mines) and I am trying to established trade relations with the rest of the world so that I can expand the industry of the area, since Gold is becoming less and less important in my own country I have plenty to spare.

Abssinia is the old name for Ethiopia, but since I took over Somalia, then invaded Ethiopia it just helps stop the confusion.

Anyway I think that the borders will probably stay where they are for a while, at least until I have time to 'peacefully' annex some countries and build a working economy.

Japan, your doubling your army? Goodbye a lot of your GDP

I agree. There's no way that Japan could support an army about the size of the US army without severe economic repercussions.

It's far better for him to not increase his military right now and just keep. To be honest, he hasn't really had a military until about 7-8 years ago. A million soldiers in 7 years... There's no way that they're really even trained.

What?

Abyssinian soldiers passed out from exhaustion. It's either that or a lot of those African nations pulled a France and surrendered.

What great modship!

Italy too has stepped up it's invasion of Northern Africa, and has established military control over Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Libya and Eygpt.

Will update the map later.

Well there is no rule against buying a massive surplus of weapons(At great cost I might add), giving them to an African nation with a massive population and a thirst of power and telling them to get on with it.

I decide to lift up the contract on Asia, your all annex festing again.

Russia invades Mongolia, with a starter force of just 50,000 troops.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

It doesn't matter if you own it or if your trying to annex it, he's free to take it.

Okay, let me clarify a few things.

1. I had a military of two million active earlier, which I then reduced to 500,000 active and 1,500,000 reserves. Now I am putting 500,000 reserves into active defensive service.

2. According to the budget that Archi gave me with his spreadsheet, I can support the army.

3. What is going on with Africa?

The only difference between a disagreement between friends, an argument between strangers, and a feud between enemies is the ability to reconcile.

In Africa...nothing is going on in Africa

Err well basically I invested lots of Gold in buying a massive army and then conqured half of Africa using Abysinia, which I have some control over from when I put the current government into power...that an I am giving them a massive army and loan to kick start their economy.

Thus I control, indirectly, about 6/13ths of Africa, and that 6/13ths is now developing relatively steadily, moving away from the deserty desert sort of living and more towards a terraformed/Industro way of living.

So far it has cost around 320 Tonnes of my Gold to do this, but I might as well get rid of it because my society is evolving to a higher state of development...As I have explained to Retech before.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

You can do that with only 320 tonnes of gold?

-Considers giving aliens 500 tonnes of gold to strike down everyone but me-

--------

On second thought, the new figures are 700,000 active troops and 1 million reserve troops.

That's true, but probaly not enough to take over half of Africa. :P

Hm, alright. I'll go with Cameroon, Nigeria, Niger, Togo, Benin, Cote d'Ivoire (Beating you there, Retech - I'm closer  ), Ghana, Burkina Faso, Liberia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, the Gambia, Mali and Mauritania myself.

Sound good?
