January 29, 201016 yr Due to overwhelming demand, we will be returning the 12-month membership card to the Jagex Online Store. At $60, or £40 each, they are fantastic value, and can be redeemed at any time. You can also buy our prepaid membership cards for shorter durations of 30 and 60 days in participating stores across the world. See our billing pages for more info. To visit the Jagex Store, click here. Am I the only one to find this price insane? ~47€ results in only a little bit under 4€/month, which is awesomely low compared to other methods. Master of Attack ~ August 29th, 2010Proud to have served the awesome Tip.It Crew <3

January 29, 201016 yr I think all Jagex membership has a base price. Any rise on that price is usually down to the amount it costs to sell it. Such as charges to phone companies to sell by text, or packaging for cards. Want to be my friend? January 29, 201016 yr Costs more for me as I'm still paying £3.20 a month, but it's a really nice price and a lot of games do discounts where buying more time at once = cheaper.
January 29, 201016 yr Costs more for me as I'm still paying £3.20 a month, but it's a really nice price and a lot of games do discounts where buying more time at once = cheaper. How?! Do tell, do tell! Anyway, $5 a month is just like old times.
January 29, 201016 yr Card looks hot. Id possibly buy it for the card (and membership) if I wasnt paying the old price before the change. ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::.........

Well since I currently pay the meagre sum of £38.40 a year, since i never let my membership lapse I have no need to take advantage of this "special offer", however no doubt this is much cheaper for new members or those who allowed their memberships to expire. Personally I think anyone who thinks that this will somehow affect how often Runescape is updated is a cynical idiot.

January 29, 201016 yr Well it comes to about £3.33 according to my calculator. That's not much cheaper than the £3.50 of my current subscription. The real issue I'd have with it is if you wanted to stop playing you'd still have a whole year's membership paid for =/ I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. January 29, 201016 yr £40.00 inc VAT What's VAT? To confirm if i got the calculations right:1 dollar is 5 norwegian krones. So 12 months single membership costs:10 dollars x 12 = 120 dollars x 5 = 600 Norwegian krones Where if you buy a year membership:40 dollars x 5 = 200 Norwegian krones. Did i get this right?

January 29, 201016 yr The real issue I'd have with it is if you wanted to stop playing you'd still have a whole year's membership paid for =/ That's the idea behind it. Rather than having kids whine and complain to their parents for a 3 month subscription, they now have the option to complain and whine for a 12 month. Which, all in all it is acceptable to expect the kid to not even play 3 months of the game, so in the end Jagex gains a full 9 months of extra cash that they would have otherwise not gotten.
January 29, 201016 yr am I the only one who feels that because they game update got delayed this week that they have thrown out every other non-game update they had instead? lol This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd.
January 29, 201016 yr But if more people have that membership surely Jagex's revenue will be about the same? Not necessarily. This way Jagex has a 12 month payment for a slightly lower price instead of 12 unsure payments at the regular price. My company does this with our maintenance clients. We just offered a potential client a 10% discount on our service rates if they used us for all of their sites. That means slightly lower profits but guaranteed sales. am I the only one who feels that because they game update got delayed this week that they have thrown out every other non-game update they had instead? lol  Seems like. When was the last time there were this many non-game updates in one week? Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P. So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...
January 29, 201016 yr It's funny that they give the price in USD, yet do not sell the card to the USA. Every country on the list is in Europe. They should sell these the way Amazon sells gift cards - let you choose delivery by e-mail. Why do you need to move some physical plastic card through the mail these days? Get with the times already. January 30, 201016 yr "Get your game on for an entire year with the RuneScape 12-Month membership card. Each card contains a magic coating that scratches off to reveal your personal code that unlocks the power and majesty of pay-to-play membership. In addition to accessing the awesomeness that membership brings, like bigger bank space, epic weapons of 0wnage and skills that would make Guthix cry, youll now own a cool card to add to your collection of expired drivers licenses, train tickets and fake IDs. " Who writes this stuff? #-o
January 30, 201016 yr Author Apparently the card's price doesn't include the delivery costs. Someone on RSOF checked it for me, he said it's 15.50£. ... . I call this false advertising. Master of Attack ~ August 29th, 2010Proud to have served the awesome Tip.It Crew <3
