Bars of soap...good analogy. You can tell the days of old are gone....the old cars, the real cars are under appreciated these days. Give me old school American, thats all I need. Big and bulky with straight lines, no curves. Curves are for the females. How about a Nova SS Or maybe a Chevelle SS
OldJoe
Mr Marine: I agree with you to a certain point. I'm not a fan of new cars, they drive better, safer, more fuel efficient and blablabla. But they lack the looks and soul of older cars. I like old American muscle cars, but i prefer old European cars, particularly British and Italian=) Maybe for the reason you just mentioned, curves. Kriegsmier
More like they spend more time in a garage or show room....or totally destroyed because the rich person driving it doesn't know how to handle a fast car and just uses it as a status symbol. Kriegsmier
kinda unfair to compare american muscle cars with cars that.. can turn Kinda unfair to assume every road is like a curvy mountain pass. American muscle cars can turn fine, and it goes back to who is driving it. I think it's safe to say most people driving euro cars like that have no idea what's under the hood past what the sales brochure list. American muscle cars now generally are owned by people that can go under the hood and tweak it themselves which generally implies they know how to handle the car. unorclan
I would give almost anything to have this car. Especially if it had a V8 (which it might, I dunno. Haven't done my research...) TipIt
kinda unfair to compare american muscle cars with cars that.. can turnLets take GM's Most recognized American Muscle car, the corvette. The Corvette c6 has won 6 Gt1/Gt2 Le mans Races since 2001. The Le Mans race is an auto racing type event, where all competitors drive for 24 hours, nonstop. All kinds of car manufacturers compete, including Subaru, Mitsubishi, Saturn, Toyota, Audi, and Renault. All of which are import cars from around the world, and all of which were outperformed by America's famed Muscle Car. I'm pretty sure the American car companies are more than capable of making cars compete in track events. TipIt
i <3 the c6 vette, but it's not a muscle car I don't understand how you think a Corvette is not a muscle car. It's been a classic American Muscle v8 since 1953. Unless you are referring to 1970's muscle cars... You can't compare technology from 1970 with today, and say that the newer class is better. Take some 1970's Imports and put them up against the classic muscle cars.. I really think someone's been playing a little too much Need for Speed.
