NoFuns
Let me explain why RuneScape is probably needing a huge re-work. Jagex can officially not make a harder quest than the newest grand master quest without doing a few things. For one, I believe that no monster can be tougher than this for a few reason. It hits the ABSOLUTE maximum that you can take without dying while at full health. They cannot top this. They could increase the maximum hp level from 99 to something higher, but the massive exp level gaps would discourage any player.Jagex cannot make tougher monsters, they can ONLY make fights become more tedious. What can they do? They need to release gear that has an affect on player's stats. If they implemented a set of gear that required 90 HP and added 2HP per piece (for example), or a set of gear that past level 90 strength would add a strength bonus. They couldn't add these pieces to any risked player-vs-player scenario, but doing so could extend the life of the game.If they released an even tougher fight, players would most likely be taking 98 damage as fast as they can eat their way back to 99 health. What else can they do? My idea would extend the possible levels in the game without adding the impossible task of actually reaching those levels naturally.I also believe that any gear this good should require time spent farming something, minigame points, just something so that players can't just buy it. Jehosaphat
Nah, we just need the Corp to drop a Divine or Elysian every other kill. Or some other method to make damage reduction more.... usable by anyone not bleeding money. Not more HP. Why? Because we already have the mechanics for damage reduction in the game, and Jagex has better things to do than code armor that gives extra HP. Evil_Sabre
Yeah I definitely agree, weapons will soon get out of hand as well. I don't know what better weapon they can release now that we have ags's and claws. Both can two hit any player with the right stats and a lot of luck. NoFuns
What Pie said isn't a bad idea. However, weapons also will become overpowered shortly. txl has the pvp thing pretty nailed down. if better weapons are released, pvp will just be gank city... more that it is now. Possibly weapons.. that are good against players, but have bonuses versus NPC's. Stat increases would be nice, as maxed out players are probably tired of seeing the same old max. J35u5_M4
I have to agree with PieisEaten, having more HP wouldn't solve things, as if you get , say an armor that gives you a +16HP bonus, you would be topped at 115, a bit more with a sara brew, why amplify the numbers? It would start to be 'oh meh gawd I hit a 90, so noob', let's cut the problem from its root, and add damage reduction armor, we don't need more HP if we can reduce the damage we take from things, so instead of a +16HP bonus, why not an armor that combined together has a similar effect to the one of the spirit shields? Say that...You have an armor that has the Bonus def of...Say...Rune or Dragon, BUT, having the whole set gives you a a good change (Say 70-75%) of ignoring some of the damage, maybe this armor could have a higher def bonus, like the one of barrows, and perhaps add some restrictions on it, like it can't be used for PvP, perhaps for only certain bosses? So many options, but if I had to chose between more HP or Hit-Redution Armor, I would definitely pick the 2nd choice
NoFuns
Whether or not its increased HP or damage-reducing gear, the game NEEDS something before any new higher level update comes out. Theyre honestly very similar is theory, they add durability to the player which is necessary for anything new. Players will quit coming back if they're only seeing the same game with more tedious fights. Bladewing
Nomad was much easier than soloing KQ and I only used like 12 brews. How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
NoFuns
That isn't the point. You can solo the KQ 30 times in a row without fail, but nomad is harder, for the simple fact that he can hit higher than anything else. I guarantee... no player in the game could go 10/10 against nomad. without a gross amount of practice Draw what you see, not what you think-you-see. --Carl Purcell
Bladewing
Nomad would be much easier to go 10/10 with than KQ. He's not attacking you have the fight and all his attacks are predictable. When he freezes you, safe up. When he lays mines, safe up. VERY easy. How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit

deletemeplease
Yes it may be the be hardest quest, but here's why I think it shouldn't be changed. - The future quests they make are not going to have to be harder than the last- If they do make a stronger monster, I have a feeling it may become a quest like hero's or Shield of Arrav, where you must have a partner- I'm sure they'll make monsters just as strong, that may not be part of a quest, but are still similar. elucin8er
Jagex are releasing a new skill that will change the face of rs as we know it. It will affect combat and pvp, including pures. I think we wait until this update, as Jagex may already have the answer to these problems. Proper Daily blogging including Starcraft 2! Meaning a real-time combat system that relies on the player's reflexes and skill, with several moves - not just autoattack and eat food. I agree 100% with this. I want more quests like Summer's End, where you couldn't simply overpower the boss. The problem with this is people will start complaining a LOT! Their internet will be too slow, they will be physically disabled and unable to click quickly, etc, etc. This is what happened with the fire cape requirement for those Ice monsters. I loved the idea. People started coming up with every crazy excuse as to why they couldn't kill Jad. This is probably what will happen if another update like this comes out. I also say more damage reducing armor, like the spirit shields. They can't just raise the HP bar. They would have to deal with the same problems all over again later if they do. Youmu
Well, if the level cap were to be removed, 200M experience is enough to be level 126 and a half. Not to mention certain people already have 200M experience in a few of their skills. I guess that is the "real" solution, then. However, Jagex *must* make everything faster paced, otherwise maxing out is nearly impossible. Everyonedies
I think Jagex could remove the level 99 cap and after 99 change the xp curve needed for the next level so instead of 200mil xp being level 126 200mil xp could be level 200 or whatever level. Or they could put another cap at say 110 or any number they chose. But id say they would have to change the xp curve to prolong the game. http://www.clanhavok.net/
