They require combat to get, so its hard not to get a combat 99 in the process.

Summoning has GOT to be the least common.

I do agree with you on Summoning, it's probably the rarest as it's the most recent and is still rarely achieved as the first 99 - although with planning I'd say Slayer is a harder one to get untrimmed.

 

However, I don't think Villandra used Soul Wars for her Untrimmed-Summoning? She still achieved it untrimmed and from what I recall, she didn't do anything like looting chests / lootsharing either. With planning, it's quite achievable just by charm-hunting.

I'll probably get untrimmed HP as my first cape (97 right now) and I have never trained hitpoints specifically -- it just comes from having 94 melee stats and 92 ranged. It's quite common, it seems.

 

Slayer and Summoning have to be the rarest because the rest can be stumbled into, so to speak -- slayer and summoning have to be planned in order to get them untrimmed.

Slayer and Summoning are very rare to see untrimmed. An untrimmed HP cape is not too common either.

I dont believe any level 3s have untrimmed slayer capes and definitely not multiple level 3s..villandra has one at 10 hp but that's probably the closest you'll come. I'd say summoning, but over time slayer will become the rarest again.

I would have to go ahead and say slayer. Its obviously possible, but It's a pain.

3% of top 100 farmers have an untrimmed cape. 6907 people have 99 farming at the moment and if the chances are that 3% have untrimmed, there's oer 200 untrimmed farming capes. Not too common, but for a fact not too impossible either.

There's plenty of that kind of chars too. The point is that if something isn't directly linked into something else (like slay and sum are linked to combat skills), it is far from being even too hard to get without other 99s.

Slayer or Constitution. Both involve getting tons of combat xp, but both are slower than the xp you gain in combat. for slay, you get 1/4 the xp you gain in say, attack, and constitution gains less than half the xp you gain in attack or strength. Now while both are extremely rare to get untrimmed, slayer is also very difficult to get in the first place, and probably less than half, or maybe less than 1/3 of the people with 99 constitution also have slayer, so I would say that slayer is the rarest untrimmed skillcape.

There's already 2 people on front page who (could) have an untrimmed rc cape. I'd be more than highly surprised if that was rarer than slayer and summoning.

To add to the untrimmed farming dispute, D Jay99 just trimmed his farming cape with 99 Constitution, Prayer, and Summoning (at the same time, more or less).

slayer, because if jagex makes more double xp weekends, it shouldn't be hard to get an untrimmed summon.

Untrimmed Slayer, while we can debate which non combat skill is harder to get untrimmed, there is no doubt that Slayer will require some serious amount of planning based on how you train your levels.

I have not seen an untrimmed summoning or slayer cape, most common is probably cooking or fletching.

 

My first cape was agility and while not rare, it was fairly uncommon. I loved having it untrimmed because I liked the look of it lol.

 

Those people who have been mentioned with untrimmed capes that are a major task to achieve as a first 99, have obviously done it with that sole intention....good for them, (so much better than gunning for the easiest cape possible purely to have one). :thumbsup:

My guess is between herblore slayer and summoning. Why herblore? Because it's so expensive to train I betcha they'd get another one done if they had the mass amounts of money needed to get the herblore cape.

I like to think that untrimmed HP/LP capes are fairly uncommon, but I'm slightly biased in that direction as the owner of one. Still, the number of them that I've seen, including mine, I can count on one hand.

 

I have seen maybe 3 untrimmed Thieving capes, but I think the most rare is Runecrafting. I have seen 2 of them - a friend of a friend has one and Aubury in the Varrock magic shop has the other.

I think it's Crafting as very few train it.
