March 28, 201016 yr Im going to open up with a story. 2 days ago, my friend only just became a member and wanted to see what its like to have a boss battle. I toke him to the weakest boss I could think of, giant mole. we got 4 kills in the half an hour we been there and 1 lv 126 shown up. we were waitin in the middle for the mole to spawn and i P.Med my friend not to talk, as he has a nack for saying the wrong things at the wrong times. this is how exactly the chat went down FYI, I screen shoted it to make sure I dont forget how it went :) : Me: Will you please leave?Me: Me and my friend have been here half an hourMe: and he wants to enjoy his first boss battle.126: 2 rangers against Maxed melee?Me: please leave?126: npe sorry (I did the spelling mistake on purpose, its what she said)Me: Please?Me: ...126: GTFO..Me: Runescapers.. At this current moment im lv 102 and my friend at that moment 79 (I know him IRL if you were wondering). If you can relate to this, please tell us your story. :) In conclusion I would like to know: Do you Tip.It forumers think that because your a higher lv, you can crash anyone under because of your higher lv?Or do you have respect for most runescape players and there current status and if there there first they should not be bugged to go to a different world, even though they have settled into the world there on all ready? Your opinion plox :) . "I dont play RuneScape Much!""XXpkerXX used fire surge with fire cape against wild IceWorm!" March 28, 201016 yr well it is not like the mole is a place that is packed in every world. IN that case the guy should have moved on to another world(or you could have moved as well). This case that rs player is just a [wagon]. On to your question. The only time that I every force my sword hand is if I get crashed in a area I am in. If I show up and it is busy. Lets say at blue dragons. I hop to another world that is less busy. Not that is easy to find now a days <_< . But trust me this happens all the time.
March 28, 201016 yr In my opinion people should respect other people's gaming experience and not ruin it by acting obnoxious like that. I feel terribly sorry for you and especially your friend, who probably got quite a slap in his face during his first day of Membership. :( Unfortunately, more and more people seem to be slipping into thinking only about one thing: their own enjoyment. They do not care if others have their gaming, their mood, or even their whole day ruined. Their self-centered world simply does not have room for sharing and kindness, two things that seem to have almost become forgotten. Even with the lack of an Antifire Potion I dare to proclaim that in my opinion some people nowadays suffer from quite a lack of empathy. Master of Attack ~ August 29th, 2010Proud to have served the awesome Tip.It Crew <3
March 28, 201016 yr I've been noticing this problem arise more often also. I was at chin spot killing skeleton monkey's and a guy a couple levels lower than me stole my spot and told me to leave. I was very low health so I couldn't so he essentially crashed me at chinning, lol. I also got my rocks stolen at granite mines when there was 2 other spots on the same world open. Those kind of people I don't understand.
March 28, 201016 yr Its just like GWD Everyone assumes they have more rights because theyre higher combat levels and better skills in general (aka herb)
March 28, 201016 yr Author Good, positive feed back, im not really surprised to be crashed doing anything nowa days, its just darn irritating that my friend has a negitive view on members, as he always tells the story of F2Pers being friendly. Of course right after this he went on to do what we all did when we first became members: baught crappy things like halberds and tyras helms O_o. March 28, 201016 yr You have the right to crash anyone anywhere if you can. How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
March 28, 201016 yr You really are a piece of work... The more posts I read from you I think of you of a cancer. =D>
March 28, 201016 yr 1. I found this bit concerning: Me: Runescapers.. Thanks for lumping everyone who plays Runescape into the same group because one player acted like a jerk to you, and for attributing crashing to Runescapers, because obviously this is the only game that this happens in. I happen to be old enough to remember the days of Ultima Online and Everquest, where people actually did stand in an impromptu line for certain unique quest bosses, bosses, and mobs, and after a couple of years of that there is no way in hell I am going back to that method. If it is easier to knock you off of your pedestal than to find a new pedestal, then I will do that. It's called competition, and even Mod Mark has said that if someone crashes you out of an area, get better of find a different spot. Runescape is designed to be competitive for certain resources and mobs. Do you Tip.It forumers think that because your a higher lv, you can crash anyone under because of your higher lv? It doesn't give you the right, but it does give you leverage. Or do you have respect for most runescape players and there current status and if there there first they should not be bugged to go to a different world, even though they have settled into the world there on all ready? It has nothing to do with respect, and as I have already explained Runescape is not a first-come-first-stay game. You cannot just enter an area, claim it as your own, and camp it to your heart's content. If you really want to talk respect, how much respect are you showing for other people, when you stake an area as your own, and then tell everyone else to get the hell out. People abuse "I was here first" as faux courtesy as much as some pkers abuse the "unwritten rules" of pking. You don't care about respect, but you enjoy pulling it out when it suits you.
March 28, 201016 yr Author Omali, I see you posting on like every thread, but you never say anything nice.I write what I said, not gunna lie and say I did not say "Runescapers.." because I did, because at the you may have noitest I was annoyed.Say somthing nice for once. March 28, 201016 yr IMO crashing serves nothing except boosting someones ego. The time it takes you to get a world of your own is like what max 10 min. And staying and crashing yields what? Lower exp rates for both of you.... Never made any sense to me.
March 28, 201016 yr Although I rarely crash, there are places where I need to or I would not find an empty world. This is mainly at Bandos or anything that is really crowded where you have to compete for a spot and fend off other crashers while attempting to keep your own world.
March 28, 201016 yr IMO crashing serves nothing except boosting someones ego. The time it takes you to get a world of your own is like what max 10 min. And staying and crashing yields what? Lower exp rates for both of you.... Never made any sense to me. :blink:Yeah because wasting 10 minutes finding a world totally doesn't lower your xp rate. The difference in xp rate is usually not large anyway, unless you manage to empty all the spawns (during slay tasks, for boss hunting it's different). I personally crash anyone 110+, but it's just sad to crash new members (why would he want to kill the mole anyway?). Especially since mole is empty on every world, unlike most slayer tasks etc.
March 28, 201016 yr You really are a piece of work... The more posts I read from you I think of you of a cancer. =D>Ad hominems are not a good way to make take your arguments seriously. You have the right to crash anyone anywhere if you can. This is true. However for the most part I am courteous enough to hop. Especially at a place like the giant mole where there are bound to be 50 open cs worlds. However, you may have never been to bandos or armadyl, which are full 100% of the time and crashing is a necessity. How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
March 28, 201016 yr Still you are talking about a small percent of runescape players. IE finding GWD spots. I only solo bandos and sometimes team at zammy. Never ever ever ever had to crash to get a spot in those 2 bosses. I can see bandos teams a little harder to find I guess..So back on topic yeah no reason to crash anyone. Other than some one needing there ego rubbed. There is so many worlds to move on too. This from me hunting when chins where over 800 each. Very busy time to hunt. Very little issue there finding a world. Also getting 99 str at bandits. Always found a world.
March 28, 201016 yr I agree with Omali, Bladewing, and D Jay99. If you don't like being crashed, get bigger. Personally, I don't crash unless someone is using a spot inefficiently or I've been looking for worlds for five minutes. If you're at CT Black Demons and you're not using a combat familiar, I'm going to crash you. If you're at Kalphite Soldiers and you're not using a cannon, I'm going to crash you. If you're at the Giant Mole, I'm going to hop, cause I know that it's very easy to find another world. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
March 28, 201016 yr I'm high level and I've killed the mole many times. It's really not like most other limited resources or mobs for which there is high competition, because it is one case where low levels can truly mess up play for high level players. I never crash at the mole. I always find a world that is unpopulated. That sometimes means that I end up in a world where respawns take slightly longer, but I feel it's a worthwhile price to pay to be a considerate player. I often get crashed, and it is nearly always by players in the combat 80-110 range. Often they are there without even any armor or weapons, and they just run behind me and punch or kick the mole to make it dig, deliberately trying to mess me up. These people are little more than griefers, since they get absolutely nothing from this other than the "enjoyment" of pissing me off. To be fair, though, most of the mid level players I run into do *not* behave like this. As for the high level players trying to rationalize their anti-social behavior: it's called the Golden Rule for a reason. Next time you're wondering why people treat you like crap in RS, look in the mirror for part of the cause. March 28, 201016 yr Qeltar love the last bit there. I agree with you. I have the feeling that people that act like that in-game also have RL issues. :ohnoes: Me I am the type of the guy that tries to make the playing experience a fun one. I tend to always lend my gear for free. And try to help the others out as much as I can. Quest help or what ever it is. I Still stand by my thinking that a few hopped worlds is not going to kill you.
March 28, 201016 yr What's someone with maxxed melee even doing at the mole? I mean, it's the boss I fight when I first get the levels to use my dragon halberd. I do enjoy running around playing out the fight, but never is there any need to crash a lootshare world for it unless I feel like helping people out who are still in the production range to be benefiting from it's drops. And usually I take someone coming to my spot and going GTFO... even to someone else as "quaff range potion, switch to rune arrows, and steal all my spawns please Time Kitten."
March 28, 201016 yr I'm still lol-ing at the fact that he was meleeing the mole. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).
March 28, 201016 yr What's someone with maxxed melee even doing at the mole? It's a good resource monster, and it's fun? (Well, except when you have to deal with morons.) I'm still lol-ing at the fact that he was meleeing the mole.I have to wonder why, given that it's the fastest way to kill it. March 28, 201016 yr Crashing is, in my opinion, perfectly acceptable. Do I like being crashed? Hell no -- I fight for my spot, unless it's a fight I can't win (138 vs 130 at Tormented Demons -- I'm just going to finish killing this one and hop), but if they're more powerful than I am, I give in and let them have the world. It's nothing more than motivation for me to get my levels higher so I don't have to be crashed. I still think that people should have the decency to try and hop -- look to see if there's a world empty before running in and killing the demons I have carefully lured. I rarely crash worlds (the only places I really crash are Dagannoths or Fire Giants with a cannon, and that's mostly because it'd take me forever to find an empty world), but if I was forced to (for example, hopping 6 times to find each world being used), I feel I'm fully within my rights to do so. I don't think anyone likes being crashed, but the only thing you can do is leave or take preventative measures (claws+spec restore pots is one of the best methods). If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.
March 28, 201016 yr Omali, I see you posting on like every thread, but you never say anything nice. You're very negative, elloello. You should cheer up a bit. I write what I said, not gunna lie and say I did not say "Runescapers.." because I did, because at the you may have noitest I was annoyed. Being annoyed is not an excuse, as text can easily be contained and can be erased before it is sent, unlike spoken words. Say somthing nice for once. I love you. You seem like the biggest troll on Tip.It forums. Not a troll. A troll is someone who says something inflammatory for the sole purpose of ginning up a response. I respond to rant threads in the manner that I do, because I firmly believe that if someone is going to take the time to write up a rant, they had better be prepared to fight for it. If you were to go back through Tip.It history, you'll find that most of the people I joke around with now (Quelmotz, Gidion, Me_Hate_Libs, Ratchet573, etc) originated in the form of a long, drawn out argument in the rants forum. It's like a really sadistic start to a relationship. And you could not have paid that much attention to my posts, because you would have caught the point I make in most threads like this, usually multiple times: The OP chooses to make personal attacks against me, focus on calling me a troll, and never refute any of the points I make (this is the part where OP usually claims I didn't make any points, so I'll save you a post). And to follow up on a previous question: I don't respond to every thread. Threads that have no prospects, I don't even bother replying to. I don't give people I don't like the time of day.
March 29, 201016 yr Lots of text Allow me to translate this: Don't hate the player, hate the game. Runescape was designed to be like this. Don't like it? Leave. Like I did
March 29, 201016 yr Many problems mixed in one rant.About crashing, it comes when various players comes for the same fight/ressource. At this time, the most efficient team wins....But a Mole, haha, and solo, omg ! Of course it's simple soloing the mole when maxed. But why doing it in LS worlds ? I'd have hopped in non LS word as a first solution. Crash in teams at Godwar and any other team kills is another sport. Since many people want to do it (Killing bosses) and few places are available (LS member worlds)... competition occurs very often and then the power of a team over another one gives the result. But keep in mind that even if you aren't powerfull, a crash fight is double loss when teams are about the same power. Everybody waste energy for half the kills.... making the trip a time loss at the end for all.Sometimes it's better to hop for a new worlds that to deserve a fight with numerous morrons. I've tested it in a 3vs5 then 6... 6th player was required for them to get a kill but omg, what a time/power loss. I'm also maxed but i don't crash players at first sight. We do start world hoping, that asking for ending trips and at the end, if required we do.But i'd would not a Mole haha. I don't like to be crashed too. But when it occurs, either i fight my spot or i hop. it all depends if i'm on the way to leave, enter and if the fights deserves it. Oh baby light the dark side...
