Of course this is nothing new, Evony is just the most blatant example. Most games that engage in this form of advertising at least feature their female mascots in revealing looking ARMOR, Evony ads are just women in bikinis now basically.

And before you say Runescape, I've seen Rs ads/concept art etc that contained attractive females with significantly less clothing than most females wear. Maybe not as bad as some other games, but Jagex isn't completely innocent here.

Yeah I'm playing it atm - I wanted to see what the fuss was about. One of the 'quests' is to join an alliance, then get rewards as your alliance gets bigger. Overnight, we went from 20 members to 80.

I played Evony because my friend was playing it and its pretty much afkable, so I'd do it while I got EP. Some of the people that pay when they play are ridiculous. It's basically a game where you can lose everything overnight if you're not online or you don't pay for truces (which keep you from being hit for 12 hours).

 

The people are pretty shady though I will say that... nice to see that he won. Too bad thats not gonna be a lot of money.

I think the general gist is that Bruce won the case BECAUSE his comments were fact. If there was no basis then he would have lost the case. I don't agree with a lot of what Bruce comments about (especially with regard to piracy... I don't pirate games either) and he does like to pick fights with people but in this case he is 100% right.

 

I have sent Bruce an email asking for a copy of the transcripts when he gets them and will post what MMG said when he does.

A quick glance at the transcripts seem to suggest that when MMG gave his affidavit he didn't do it by sending a letter he was on the phone in court via Skype. I will have a more detailed read later.

I just went to a website and guess what the add on the side of the page was. A picture of a half naked girl with flashing boobs(that's right flashing) with the words "come play my lord" next to her... The game must really suck if they need to have advertisements like that to get people to play it lol.
