April 25, 201016 yr I hope clegg doesn't win. He wants to get rid of trident, And I think he wants uncontrolled immigration. He wants to replace Trident (current projected cost: £100Bn) with a much smaller and cheaper deterrant (which we never actually use). Also, he wants uncontrolled immigration...come on don't be so daft. The Lib Dem policy is to regulate immigration by region - giving visas to immigrants based on the area where they want to work / live and the need for the immigrants skills in that area. It makes much more sense than the moronic flat cap Tory policy (they've given no number for this cap by the way) or the Labour policy of just throwing money at the problem and hoping it goes away. He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)

April 26, 201016 yr Sent my by-post vote in yesterday. Lib dem obviously. Today i got such an annoying leaflet through my door for the BNP. It had a picture of the guy (the leader who i don't know the name of) at the bottom, right next to a picture of Winston Churchill. One of the greatest Brits ever get put next to him. And the irony? Winson's iconic speech of 'we will fight them on the beaches', and the first line of this BNP leaflet, 'We will withdraw all our troops!' Want to be my friend? Look under my name to the left<<< and click the 'Add as friend' button!Big thanks to Stevepole for the signature!^
April 27, 201016 yr I'm a bit =S my families postal voting cards have yet to turn up. Also that leaflet is such a prime example of BNP face vs reality.Notice how it fails to give any mention of the fact they want to block all immigrants and send all the ones here home regardless of if they've been here like 30 odd years and work stable jobs etc.Or facts like how they want to make homosexuality illegal againOr how they want to repel mean of the laws against inciting homophobic and racist hatred and violence Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
April 27, 201016 yr The BNP is a racist, nazi party who wants to deport anyone who isn't white, ban homosexuality, and isolate us from the rest of the world. Their apologists will claim "the BNP has changed now" but they really haven't.

Their apologists will claim "the BNP has changed now" but they really haven't.They wouldn't ban homosexuality, but they would allow people to discriminate against one another. Nick Griffin said that a b&b could refuse a homosexual couple because they disagree with their sexuality. Though on the other hand he said a b&b could refuse a heterosexual couple. For tl;dr, the BNP are insane. Liberal Democrats have shot up, but I think I am still likely to vote for Conservatives. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)RIP Michaelangelopolous
April 27, 201016 yr If I could vote, it'd be for the Tories. My dad doesn't work as hard as he does to give half of it away to some immigrant who came here to feed off the dole. Tories actually help people in his situation. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
April 27, 201016 yr I can never believe it when I see British people say they want a Tory government. La lune ne garde aucune rancune.

If there's one person to never listen to about politics, it's your dad :P Especially if he's the sort to read The Sun, like mine is  I've found that dads, more often than not, are really uniformed about politics and are really not the most... insightful people into political issues XD I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. April 27, 201016 yr Today i was asked to photograph an event at college. Each local candidate for 3 main parties were battling it out to win over a packed theatre full of students. I was chatting at the end to the labour candidate, and he asked me what party i liked the most and why. When i said BNP, he just replied "Fair enough, they get miles more stick than they deserve" Thought that was pretty funny, and it was defiantly more of a sympathetic response than I was expecting. Shant go into my choice as i'm sure flaming would occur.... Each to their own  Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!
April 27, 201016 yr Each to their own  This sure is a good enough reason to vote for the Nazi Party v2.0

If he's a small business owner, he probably won't benefit too much under the tory plans, they tend to swing towards benefit to the big corporations/city bankers kind of business rather than the self employed. You are quite right to be fed up with Labour as well, what with the worrying route they have taken over the last few years. Thankfully the rise of the Lib Dem this election may give voters an actual choice this time around.

Shant go into my choice as i'm sure flaming would occur.... Each to their own :wink:Reminds me of the other day at my college, when we had a visit from 5 of the local MP candidates. The main three, as well as UKIP and the Green party. There is a BNP candidate around here (we got a leaflet through the door today) but they didn't invite her to our quite multi-ethnic college for some reason  The Labour candidate was quite interesting and I found the UKIP candidate to be quite amusing and engaging. I think they were all pretty decent speakers, but I think I'm leaning towards Labour (not that I'd tell my parents). I think it's much easier for other parties to criticise Labour because they've been the ones in power. It's easy to criticise Labour's past policies far more than it is for Labour to criticise other parties' possible policies. I think I'm kinda with my Sociology teacher on this one. They're all rubbish, New Labour is horrible - but anything is better than the Tories. It's not like it'll matter in my area - my constituency has been labour since it was created and wins with like a 75% majority. So no matter how many people are disillusioned with Labour and how many posters the Conservatives put up, I don't think Labour will lose this seat. I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. So no matter how many people are disillusioned with Labour and how many posters the Conservatives put up, I don't think Labour will lose this seat. Same here. I live in Sunderland south constituency. For the last 3 elections it has been the fastest to count the votes and return the result in the country. Here, it is simply a foregone conclusion that labour will win. I think it is something like a 70% majority. My dad reads The Times So yeah, a Murdoch owned paper. Anyway, If you aren't rich, you won't benefit under the Tories, simple as that.
April 28, 201016 yr Author I'm going to be interested in how well held the BBC debate on Thursday is. The ITV one was pretty decent imo, the Sky one was a bit of a shamble. Aside from the obvious Murdoch bias and whatnot, why did they feel the need to clutter half the TV with the question and a band of news just in case you got bored... I really like the BBC so I'll be disappointed if it isn't neutral. Well I'm in Bolton south east, and I remember reading that the Tories are targeting areas where Labour majority might be questioned because of the influx of Lib dem supporters. It explains the huge number of Tory posters I've seen knocking around, including a conveniently placed 'I caused record youth unemployment, let me do it again.' poster right near my college <_< I edit for the [Tip.It Times].
