SeanyTheSailor
S. Korea Ship sunk While there is no solid evidence that it was North Korea, apparently suspicions are high. The reason that the title is what it is is because while I can't remember any specifically I sort of have this mental note in the back of my head that I keep seeing North Korea popping up in the news doing controversial, or suspected of doing controversial things. If anyone sees any of these feel free to post them. But until then I guess just discuss the article above. God dammit Seany, STOP SHARING MY MIND" I believe in something greater than myself. The Dark Lord
BBC has been talking about that incident for like a month now. Silly American media. Anyway, I think that it was probably either a mine or a torpedo. However, it wouldn't be news to anyone if North Korea actually did it; they've had minor battles since the truce anyway... SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on. Will H
I recall this being reported a long time ago. Oh, and it's rogue, not rouge. North Korea is not really a threat to any other country. Sure, it's got a big army, but it doesn't have the money to actually sustain an attack on another country. Any act of invasion would be suicide, so I'd have serious doubts that they would actually attack another country in the first place. ~ W ~

Personally I figured this was a second one. Ship sunk in a suspicious way, after NK threats, of course they're going to think it's NK. jamesrules90
North korea's gone red the French way? sithlord_man
I can expect the End of the Cease fire in the next few years. Tensions are going to get higher and higher till the point one side acts first. Knowing NK, it will likely be them who causes the Second Korean War. Strong External impact to? The only thing that I find is a mine or torpedo could have such an impact force if hit in the right area of the ship to cause the amount of damage done. Hopefully it wasn't intentional and it was left over from the 1950's war. 99 FM Acheived on Friday December 26th 2008Click for my blog|Mass Effect Discussion Thread|Nation Creation/Create your own Country Forums
SeanyTheSailor
Apparently its just in the news again because they raised the ship. But also I'm actually disappointed in the community as what I read, most people were joking around. Maybe you missed that North Korea has nuclear weapons and a crazy mofo as a leader. Also from what i understand his son who would likely be the next in line is just as bad if not worse. Also the guy talking about how North Korea isn't a threat. Maybe them actually doing anything isn't a big deal but I could easily see them starting something big. God dammit Seany, STOP SHARING MY MIND" I believe in something greater than myself. All it took to spark World War I was some random Bosnian Serb in Sarajevo named Gavrilo Princip, who assassinated the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. ;) And almost a century of arms buildup, secret alliances, and nationalism building. People were itching for a war. The whole world these days is weary of war (even though any "war" the West is fighting should hardly be considered as such), and nobody likes North Korea any more. Their only real ally is Iran. The next closest is probably Cuba and Venezuela. The rest of the world, just about, is against those four tiny nations. I mean, I blew the [cabbage] out of NK and Venezuela's military single-handedly, in two different times. I blame it on the Archduke's driver, he took a wrong turn which is how he ended up in front of Princip. The costliest wrong turn in the history of mankind. On topic: The allies system of the time was what caused WW1 more than anything. The killing of the Archduke may have been the straw that broke the camel's back but with the alliance system that was in place in Europe it was always going to happen for some reason.
