April 26, 201016 yr I tried this dude in a duo team and we got owned four times in a row. Not being one to give up easily, i went back solo on floor 2 and met him again lvl 248 or close to that. I used whatever melee weapon i had, a b/axe i think with mage protect and peity. i got owned 3 times more. Used up all food, all coins. So question is: how to beat him? advice please. This is floor 2 ffs!!! I'm begining to hate this 'minigame' with a passion. Edit: Yes i stood in front of his food to prevent healing Edited April 26, 201016 yr by Rosanante1 Still the proud owner of Quest Cape since 8th December 2007All skills used to be 70 or higher. April 26, 201016 yr Oh? I never really had a problem with him. Take a familiar+smith more armor, I mean it is a very "easy" fight as there is no micro at all. I guess if you are really desperate you can drop a gatestone right next to the food source and tele back right back after you die. [Guild Wars 2-In game screenshot, the MMORPG you are waiting for. Decent armour decent food. I'll try the gatestone idea. not sure if i can do that at lvl 5. certainly cant summon..... April 26, 201016 yr Author I take it you are standing between it and its food source? C'mon Scooby. read the post. It's like level 248 and knocking lumps outa me. I get it to 50% health then run out of prayer / food. Gatestone is my next move, at least it wont heal before i get between its food. Should it be this hard on floor 2???? How the hell am i gonna progress at this rate. Still the proud owner of Quest Cape since 8th December 2007All skills used to be 70 or higher. (Dang you Dungeoneering. April 26, 201016 yr Lucky for me (cmb lvl 100) he was only lvl 124 and I could beat him easily.I guess you need to wait until some experiences solo-er sees this post and gives you a great advice :) Playing since February 2003
April 26, 201016 yr Depends on what complex lvl ur using m8, if ur using C6 then yes it is suppose to be this hard on floor 2 because each complex lvl determines how hard the monsters are, how hard the bosses are, and how many skill / challenge rooms there are. *note* dont take my word for this because im only going on what i can understand but im about 65% sure this is correct

At my level (5) and completing floors 1 & 2 starting from complexity 1 it should be easy. Having already completed floor 1 and 2 a couple of times, I noticed my complexity defaults to 4, so I will reset to 1 and see if it's any easier. I hope so or i'll be stuck on floor 2 forever :ohnoes: Still the proud owner of Quest Cape since 8th December 2007All skills used to be 70 or higher. (Dang you Dungeoneering. April 26, 201016 yr well simply: bad luck... Combat level of bosses can be upto 2 times the average combat level of you when soloing. - Just make sure you have full katagon at least. (anything less is rubbish).. With decent mining levels you ought to find lots of rocks on your way to the boss. First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me.

April 26, 201016 yr I take on fights often without anything except for my basics.. And often win: I just don't believe taking lower than katagon is worth the time to stop/mine for (hence: rubbish).. April 26, 201016 yr Make better armour and better food. If you need to make money there, buy rune essence and make air runes. Sell the runes to the smuggler.Make Salve and Glissle potatoes+. Also, when you find those torn bags, keep them. They're used to make BoB familiars. Also, magic familiars seems to help a lot on Bohemoth, so make one of those pouches, and make the scrolls with it. TBH, I've never had any trouble with this guy, I guess your dungeon hates you and isn't giving you any items to fight with. April 26, 201016 yr Well, I have no problem with the level 248 behemoths when I solo, but I guess max stats, tier 10 familiar, and promethium spear help though. I usually only have zephyrium/argonite armour though (can only smith up to katagon gloves and boots).

Takes like 5 minutes to make money for zeph, which has been more then enough for me to beat a Behemoth. While I do agree spending an hour making money is worthless (especially since you should be getting stuff for armour through the dungeon anyways), does he really have much of a choice for the Behemoth? April 27, 201016 yr If you cant manage to scrap up enough armor to tank it, and don't have enough combat power to crush it, the best option is gate-stones. Make a Gatestone and leave it in your inventory. Also bring enough runes for another 5-10 Gatestones. Keeping the stone in your inventory, go and fight him. Once you die, the stone will automatically drop where you died. As soon as you die, then teleport back and make another stone. This way he will never eat, as your always standing between him and the pile. Just remember to make another stone when you teleport back. You might die alot this way, but it is a 100% way to kill him.

For those who may be reading this topic and being a Dung-Newb like me, take a gatestone and drop it in front of his food. That way you can continue the fight where you left off. If you re-enter the room after dying, he just heals up and you're back where you started. However, i reset complexity to 2 and did floors 1,2,3 and i got him each time as the boss. These times he was much less, something like 108cb instead of the 248 i had encountered on previous fails. I'm getting the hang of this now. Seems so overly complicated, new foods, armour, weps. Everything is so unfamiliar and there are no icons to point out the skilling areas. I'm averaging 50xp per room atm  My prestige is a massive 3! Hope to get levelling soon but it takes so long...... Oh, and i didn't realise, dropped items don't disappear lol.
