Nifflin
So I'm gonna be offering up around 20k d bones soon and I was wondering if it was worth it to level construction before hand. You know, as long as I'm bleeding money. Is it better enough to use your own alter over someones on the house party world to warrant leveling construction? Edit: Seems I should bite the bullet and train construction a bit before I train prayer. Thanks guys. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. Bladewing
69 construction is not even that expensive, and the altar isn't too bad. Get your own altar - the time you save will probably cover the cost. Plus it's an investment in your skills - you can never lose that. cowmaster187
as a person with 4 gilded altars i think it is safe to say that having your own gilded altar is awesome. you dont have to worry about finding a open house. plus 69 con is easy. GandalfTheGrey
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you only need 64 construction, as you can build teak shelves 2 at 64 with the +3 boost from the crystal saw, then drink tea to boost it another three levels. Guthorm
I just offered 27k dragon bones and to be honest, finding a house was not a problem for me. There is a cc just for finding houses and there are always people there 24/7. I think the cc is called housesw31, not that sure though. The reason I didn't get a gilded of my own is because you have to waste 3 invo space every run for mars and the tinderbox. [Guild Wars 2-In game screenshot, the MMORPG you are waiting for. What I am looking for is a comparison if anyone has one. Which is faster? Is it worth the cost? PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. Slayer_Jesse
personaly, i have to say get the altar. you can lay out your house however you want, you'll allways have the levels, and if you need to train prayer again its right there. Just_Ne_Pker
About losing the three inventory spots: that's correct, but with house tele you are faster in you're own house than in someone else's house.. :) Findolfin || Total 2293 || Combat 138 - 126 || 313 Quest Points~ Watch out, beasties. That would only get you to 70. Using the Saw and the tea at 69 will get you to 75, you can also use the saw and a stew if it will let you but getting anything over a +5 is really rare. Solartide
That altar is not worth it. If you ever have a problem with it, it will just run back and bring the guild to give you trouble.
blakdragon39
That altar is not worth it. If you ever have a problem with it, it will just run back and bring the guild to give you trouble. Is that some sort of joke? If yes, it was pretty lame. :P I'd say that it is worth it. Easier to get into your own house, and it's always available too. And maybe you don't share this view with me, but con is lots of exp at a fast rate, and exp is win. :D

anonymouse_
Using someone's alter involves more clicking and hence more effort. Get your own.

Zephy
It's not just the gp cost, though. Do you save enough time with your own altar compared to the time you spend training construction? Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate.
shawn3090
A guilded altar really helps if you ever get prayer brawlers. Otherwise, you are stuck using your friends house in dangerous areas in a pvp world. [hide=Stats][/hide]"One death is a tragedy.
