My roommate plays it quite a bit and it makes me wonder how he got so popular. His lyrics suck and his voice is flat out annoying.

 

Because he has pretty darn good flow, along with metaphors/similies/lyrics in general. His voice can be annoying, but I kind of like it.

Their/there/they're and your/you're used in the wrong way. Seems like 99% of my friends and people on tif don't know the difference.

Happens with everyone. You'd be surprised at how many teachers fail to spell the correct word. The one that does annoy me is waste/waist. It's so damn obvious which one is correct, yet they'd still constantly make the same mistake.

 

One thing that annoys me; Brain farts. You raise your hand in class desperate to answer, then when you finally answer, you're stuck. :|

 

Are/Our and Two/to/too come up too. Even if it does happen with everyone, there's very simple rules that are easy to remember for all of them.

 

I see a lot of people say something like "Are we going to you're house?" You're is obviously a contraction because of the apostrophe, I don't see how people mess that up. "Are we going to you are house?" makes absolutely no sense.

 

And speaking of sense, I see sense/cents/since a lot too...

Yes two many people do that. It's so annoying sense you can't do anything about it, your right.

In rants topic someone ranted that and they said "your" correctly. So being the douche I am I quoted them and said "You're*" boy.... Did I unleash pandora's box. :XD

 

 

To be honest though, whenever I make those mistakes, it's not because I don't know the difference, I just write them wrong when I'm typing really fast. I tend to get the homophones mixed, it's almost like dyslexia. For example, I'd say "they're" instead of "their" not because I don't know why is appropriate, but because it happens so fast I just don't notice it. Also if you ever see my posts with a couple words just way out of place, that's why.

to be honest, I don't really get annoyed that often, I just make up fake rants on this thread to up my post count. And... I also hate people who say I post just for a post count. Which I usually don't, just when I'm like 10 posts away from the new *title* !!!

Hmmm. Like what if there's an obese person who doesn't complain? For example, one of my bosses at work is a very very large women, but she doesn't mind at all. She's a very happy carefree person everyone likes.

 

 

On the other hand, there is this woman. I kid you not. EVERYDAY. Triple baconator, large fry, large drink, large milkshake. "I hate how skinny people are so skinny! its not fair" I'm usually a quiet person irl, but I just had to call me out.

It got very quiet, she never complained again. Though still eats the same thing. I mean... it was a mean thing to be honest, but I couldn't take it anymore. I'm a lil fat, though I'm getting more skinny, but I understand it's my fault I'm big, I'm not about to [bleep] at someone else.

If someone is content to be fat, then no big deal. It's when they complain that I get annoyed.

There's one girl in my class who is obese, and constantly says it's her genetics (Her parents are large too.) At the same time, she's eating one of the four doughnuts that she had with her. :wall:

Same, except he's my replacement Economics teacher. He even gone as far as misinterpreted something I said as 'trannies' (wtf?). I hate having to literally shout at people to get them to do something :/.

Well I'm a very fast talker (as you can probably tell), so that's a bigger issue than actually yelling.

 

At work people confuse the name sam with Tim, Bill, Jim, FRANK, BOB, Samuel (not what I said. kid.)

 

 

So now I say either Kevin, Michael, or Adewale Doko Doko (when I'm bored out of my brains, and my bosses aren't around. lolol. I once got called a [racist term] cuz I said "thanks for calling the law offices, Adewale Doko Doko speaking, may I help you?" "YOURE NOT BLACK. WANNA BE [racist term]."

My father and grandparents are like that. It gets increasingly annoying every minute I talk to them. Especially when I have a quiet voice. I usually end up saying something important, then they wonder what I say. I repeat it louder then they ask me why I'm yelling. #-o

It's amazing how many people don't know what the word 'swagger' means, especially when it's on every other song on the most popular radio station in my city.

I actually kind of enjoy this. My two grandparents both kinda suck at hearing, and it's hilarious just to sit and listen to their conversations, how everything gets screwed up because of the misinterpretation of one word, then they argue about things. It's very enjoyable :rolleyes:

 

Oh, and their answering machine starts off like this...

"Charlie, is it on?"

"Yeah, start talking..."

"Hi, you've reached blah blah..."

I laugh every time

Sometimes it can be funny, if they are talking to eachother on the phone. "MY LEG HURTS!" (in the background:) "NOT YOUR LEG, YOUR HIP!" "THATS WHAT I SAID!!!!!!!"

Also, a lady called in today, with a syndrome of squeaky hips. I kid you not. She got a hip replacement and it squeaks when she walks.
